I have a 28" ribcage and 36" bust, so technically measure a 28G/28FF (us/uk) but I generally prefer 30" bands, due to a bony ribcage. A friend recommended I buy this bra in 32F, based on her experience. Overall, it's *pretty" comfy. One of the cups (right) seems a little wide and the strap tends to dig on that side. I don't know how to adjust for that, so it's frustrating. I only notice it after a few hours of wear.
Not a good shape match for conical, close-set, splayed shape. Band is reasonably tight for a 32" band, so if you measure 31" at the under bust this might be a great balance of comfort and band longevity. I usually wear a 30" band and this is on the 2nd hook, however I don't wear it often because of the fit issues. It's a super cute bra and the middle seam has minimal show-though in most clothes besides t-shirts.
This is currently my best fitting bra and I love it. In canada especially, these are a bit pricy, so definitely go in to a shop and try a bunch on before deciding. I bought this in my 'sister size' of 32B because the shop didn't have the 30 band (which would have been a better fit, but not all Le Mystere bras come in 30 bands...) The band does fit loosely on my rib cage, but on the tightest hook, it's just enough to stay comfortably in place. I'm wearing it as is for now, but will probably shorten the band as it stretches out. I find it very supportive and I like the shape it gives. The lace on it is adorable and makes it feel fancy
When I first got this bra, I wanted to love it because it's exactly what I look for in a bra. It's pretty, has lace, dark colour, and is fairly minimal otherwise (minus a single bow). It fit, mostly, but it wasn't exactly comfortable and kept giving me a quadboob on the left. I wore it a few times after that and remember liking the silhouette it gave, but the left breast usually ended up square and quadboobed. I didn't wear it for a while after that.
While the initial quadboob isn't there any more, it's on the verge of it. There's still a squaring effect on the left breast. It's more comfortable that I remember it being, however, and now it fits pretty much perfectly. It's a well made bra overall, and I like the shape it gives.
The perils of local lingerie boutiques and their "fitting" techniques. For all intents and purposes, this bra appeared to fit on me in the fitting room. I, enamored with the beauty of the bra and the fit in the room, purchase it despite being shocked at the price.
Imagine my shock when I return home and it suddenly doesn't fit my breasts without the magic "adjustments" made by said fitter.
Kinda pissed because my left breast is almost hanging out of this bra, whereas my right breast is verging from being properly fitted to now contemplating joining its partner in crime.
The look and feel of this bra is wonderful, hence my purchase--I became enamored with the shape, comfort, and appearance of the bra (not dowdy/matronly at all!); however the fit is ill now, and I am upset. If you are between cup sizes, beware--the perils of black-dyed fabric may be making this bra unnecessarily tighter, so you may wish to go up a cup. Despite this, the band fits more like a 30 than 32.
