This is not a great bra for someone who needs center coverage. One little move and I'm popping out the front. I mean, I guess I should have expected that with a plunge bra, but this one is SUPER plungey. These wires are too wide, as well as the straps. (sigh, I type that a lot) The wires are eating my armpits and heading towards my back, even. Appearance: Blindingly white lace bra. There's a little G charm at the gore. I appreciate the tag, by the size label, that says, "Checking your boobs could save your life."
Love this - again, not surprised, 'cause I love Gossard. I think I need to go down to a 32FF though because I have space under the lace part of the top of the cups.
This bra was a complete shape mismatch on me but it's super pretty. I think it would be great for shallow breasts or breasts with tall roots. Despite not fitting me right at all it was overall very comfortable and it's lined so there isn't any scratchy fabric against your skin.
This is one of my favorites. There is nice detailing that went into this bra. The material is very soft, the hooks are gold with a tiny gold metal label attached. The back of the band is unusual. It only has two hooks and is an open "x" band. I took a risk on this bra because I didn't think I would have enough upper fullness to fill out the lace portion, but this one works well for me. It has plenty of projection for FoB. The gore is low. The band runs really really tight, but has loosened a tiny bit with repeated wear. If really tight bands are an issue, look at sizing up.
This bra is everything I want from full-bust design (aside from its size range). It isn't trying to be full coverage, it might really fit a full-busted person, it's got a really interesting and compelling cut, I haven't seen it done 100 times in the full-bust market, and it's not attempting to sacrifice comfort for its sexiness. The print is AMAZING, not a tired floral, but one that pops even though it's so dark. I think I screamed when I saw this bra back in 2014. I didn't understand why Gossard saw fit to cover its great fabric choice up with eyelash lace, so I took to the ...bra with scissors and removed all the lace from the cups. In short, this bra reminds me why I'm so sad I'm sized (and shaped) out of Gossard now.
That said, the bra never had a chance of fitting me, even one cup size ago. This bra is from the time when Gossard's bands ran 1 size small, so the 32 band fits my size-30 really well. However, the cups are on the smaller side. This bra could work for a 30G, but not a 30GG like I was, and definitely not for my current 30H boobs. That sure isn't stopping me from breaking it out very occasionally: it's just that interesting. The cups have a cool shape, almost like a quarter-cup bra but a lot more secure. In the right size, I think my boobs would be mostly exposed but definitely wouldn't be at risk of falling out. The band fits me very well. The fabric and inner cup foam is really soft, and the cups are structured but not at all stiff. I'm projected and this bra is shallow, to the same degree or a little less than Freya's half cups, but it wasn't shallow enough to get me out of the cups.
The quality isn't all there, which would've been a real pain if I had bought this full price. But I don't mind that sacrifice for getting the bra as cheaply as I did off of Ebay. Within the first 2 weeks of using it, the lace making up the inner portion of the band was breaking, even though it felt sturdy. However, the eyelash lace on the front of the cups was attached fairly solidly. I had to be careful and mindful removing it, and needed to sew the fabric overlay on the cups back together after removal, which might be good news if you like the lace.
Make me an offer if you'd like to try this bra. I like it so much that I'm having a hard time listing, but I know I'm being absurd. I should share the love. Read more 344 more words
First I'd like to mention that this bra's rose gold metal parts have started staining the bra green after 9 months. Even though I didn't pay full price it's still disappointing.
This bra technically fits but it's just not the best bra for me. The band is snug enough, the cups are deep enough, the gore tacks, etc... but the way it was constructed makes this bra useless at supporting heavy breasts. The straps on Phoebe don't connect to the cups. Instead they stop near the cups and are attached to the very thin mesh that acts as a slide sling both outside and inside the bra. You're getting ...your support from 2 layers of mesh! It appears that the band is very rigid while the wires are too malleable. So instead of the wires remaining stable while the band stretches to fit your ribs, the opposite is occurring. I will admit that I loved how tight this band was because I'm in between sizes and this was just right for me. Honestly, the design/construction is the worst I've ever tried on. I get more support from my pre-bravengelized size of 36D, that's how bad it is.
It's such a gorgeous bra but it's useless to me. I loved the color, the stitching, the rose gold metal, the cage back, the keyhole at the gore, but all those cute details mean nothing when my breasts aren't supported. I really wanted to love this bra and I had such high hopes for it, but the Phoebe just couldn't live up to my expectations.
**edit:** After occasional wearing, turns out this bra behaves to much like Gossard Lola: too closed on top + non stretch makes it push my boobs down and outwards. Not so pretty.
Nice 'luxurious' looking bra. There's an intricate lacey / embroidered border, polkadots and even some black sequins (haha). Signature Gossard cage back, which in this case doesn't really match the 'baroque-y' design imo; but still ok. The bra is lined with beige coloured mesh: 'nude' for some people but it might show if it's not your skin-tone.
Fairly good fit in a 32G. Like many Gossard bras, the back is somewhat tighter than average. For me ...this is good, as I'm normally more of a 30GG this allows me to easily sister size to 32G.
Bottom of the cups don't allow enough projection, there's a fight going on between my boobs and the lower half of the cups 😒 Seems to look worse in pictures than in the mirror though (usually for me it's the other way around with bra fitting issues - hard to properly capture in a photo).
Cups are borderline small - and / or the projection issue eats up space - but not bad enough to quad. As there's no stretch in the cups, the fit in this bra is kind of tricky (easy for minor issues to cause wrinkling).
Nice low wings! Even if the straps are still too far apart (my everlasting issue), the low wings somewhat help in saving my armpits.
For an unlined bra, this gives quite a round shape. Somewhat similar to my Flirtelle Giselle unpadded. Versatile bra - pretty enough to show but basic enough to wear under many outfits. Read more 171 more words
I've wanted to try Lola since 2cakes and beckysboudoir reviewed it on their blogs, so I was happy to find it for cheap at lingerie outlet store on Ebay. Both bloggers said it ran kind of large, but I decided to try the 32G - which is pretty normal for me in Gossard (since they only go to G and their bands run on the small side). For reference, my 'average' size is 30GG.
The bright color and overall design are gorgeous; I really really like the 'scales' and the signature cage back. However, the fit of the cups is not right for me. ...I definitely fill out this size but the shape is off. Top part of the cup cuts in and there's an east/west thingy going on. So I wouldn't necessarily agree it runs large? Also it's quite uncomfortable perhaps because it pulls my breasts where they don't want to go, if that's a thing. Such a shame! I was wondering if removing / loosening the ribbon would help, but I'm afraid Lola will have to go back 😪

Ouch! The Lola is charming, but this east-west look just doesn't offer a good fit. I was planning to order in 30DD or 30E, but now not so sure. And I also would love to try the padded plunge version, that one seemed very popular and sold out quickly on the Gossard website.
This gorgeous bra is a bit too small - sadly but not unexpectedly. Currently I'm around 30GG/H. So I knew it wouldn't be perfect, but this 32G was the best size available (got it cheap on Ebay).
Some quadding going on and not enough projection in the bottom of the cups. Gives me kind of a pointy shape. Band is a bit loose. Adjusting it shorter results in more overspill. Generally speaking, I think this bra is suitable for relatively shallow and wide shapes. I used to be (or think I was) wide & shallow. Now I'm realizing I need more narrow and projected bras.
Anyhow, because of the vibrant floral print (explosion indeed) I would really recommend this beauty. Lucky person who properly fits it - I'm jealous!
Absolute stunner of a bra. Fiery red and fuchsia works really well together. The half-sheer retro look is very appealing and the strappy back band as well.
I also love the shape, it is reminiscent of a retro shape but without excessive pointiness. It's the sort of shape that's called a "good pointy". Gentle side support ensures that it doesn't get too east/west that tends to be the risk for me with a full cup shape - none of that here.
The band is nice and firm but not excessively so, just how I like it. Surprisingly doesn't cut in much even in the strappy part.
The straps are unbelievably comfy. ...The width works really well with the look and the inner side is soft and velvety. The same material is used as part of the band in the very back and to cover the boning that strengthens the transition area from regular band to strappy.
Generous and comfy three hook fastenings.
Unfortunately I have just a little bit too much top fullness for this cut. It fits my smaller side almost perfectly but cuts in on my larger side. Would be perfect for a fuller 32G that's fuller on bottom or an average to smaller 32G that's even to fuller on bottom.

This bra has a firm band and runs pretty small. The shape was wrong for me. It had projection too high up for me and not enough at the bottom of the cup.
This bra is very pretty. Like most Gossard, it has a very firm band. The fit was fine except that the bottom was too shallow and created a fold at the bottom of the cup. I really liked that the straps were smaller than other large-cupped bras.
I loved the look of this bra and the firm band. I wore it a few times but noticed the bottom of the cup wrinkling. It was too shallow on the bottom for me.
This bra is very pretty. Like most (all?) of Gossard, the band runs small. The 32 stretches to about 31 inches. In this style, either the cup runs small or it's just the wrong shape for me. I'm leaning towards the cup running small though. The decoration on the straps and around the armpit was a little bothersome as well but I'm pretty sensitive to those things. I bubble out of the top quite a bit and that is the biggest problem I had with it.
This bra is amazing! It is a molded cup but has seams on the inside to make it a three part cup. The underwire is quite wide, which is perfect for me. The band in the 32 seems to be very true to size. Mine measures at 32" when stretched. The straps are a little bit far apart for me, although that seems to be with every bra I try on. I took some cotton spandex blend fabric and sewed it around the straps. This keeps them from digging in to the part right above my armpit.
Recieved used from another user: Center gore floats between breasts. Bra is meant for a woman with more seperated breasts There is a hole in the center of bra and since it isn't a good fit, I'm not at all eager to wear it. It is very pretty and feminine, but not meant for me.
It looks gorgeous, but not fit perfectly. Boobs sometimes (when i bend) escape from the center of bra and the straps poke me in my arms (they are too separate). The cups are not fully filled (down part of cups) - it seems cups could hold all my boobs, but it is not happening.
I've been super curious about this one. Thanks for your review. I can "file 13" my curiosity now. :-)
