    70H

    Didn't fit

MY SHAPE: projected, even top/bottom, center full, tall roots, narrow roots.

THE TAKEAWAY: A soft mesh embroidered cup, with a strip of elastic running across the top that might give FOT / tall-rooted people trouble. Projection is probably good, and I _think_ it's doing a good job of handling my center-fullness, but see the details for notes. The bottom of the cup is lined with a second layer of mesh; the top of it is not. The embroidery on this bra is too thick for it to be a proper t-shirt bra. This 70H only _hard-stretches_ to 32", so it's a little small in the band.

DETAILS: Initially, this bra ... fits well, if a tiny bit small -- but I've got a case of Period Boobs, so that would probably indicate a good fit, and that this 70H is solidly comparable to a 32FF (my 'usual' UK size, though increasingly I'm taking 30G). But on trying it on again just now, I noticed that I was getting rather more serious quadding. I'm going to try a band down and a cup up, to see whether this is a size issue, or a shape mismatch. I'll update the projection / center-full notes when I do!

I'd also call the cups potentially itchy, especially on the top panel where there's no lining between your tissue and the embroidery, but if I wasn't itching (haha, pun) to try another size, I might assume it'll soften up after a few washings. (I don't break out or anything, but I am somewhat sensitive to 'itchy' textures; I absolutely cannot wear wool right next to my skin, even merino wool, because of this.) It doesn't feel super expensive, probably because it isn't. (46% polyamide, 45% polyester, 9% elastane...)

Because the cups are a bit small, I'm not sure whether or not I'm getting good uplift in this bra; I definitely like the shape better from some angles than from others. (I'm not wild about the side view.)

So, consider this review a work-in-progress until I have one that fits...

I'm finding this bra pretty comfortable. I like the soft top but the lightly padded rest of it. It doesn't show through clothing hardly at all. The color is good on me.
I'm not certain about the fit. Maybe because it's two hooks instead of the three I've gotten used to? The band feels uncertain. I started it on the second set because it didn't feel quite supportive enough on the loosest set. Sometimes it feels like it should be tighter, and sometimes it feels like it should be looser. I wonder if maybe there's not quite enough lower projection for me? One thing I really like is that the straps feel closer together than on some bras. I also bought another bra, and it feels like the straps start in my armpits more. This one feels like they're at a good place.
Basically, I don't know if this is actually a great fit, but it's comfortable enough for now. And for only $27, that feels pretty good.

Hi! I've set up my own lingerie blog where I'm going to add a bra review from time to time. I plan to write my reviews both in Polish and English, and I'll probably focus mostly on the less popular Polish lingerie manufacturers. Any suggestions would be appreciated https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I wanted the initial review to be nice and pleasant, so here's a bra that I really like. I am very sorry for the lenght of my post; I'll try to fix this issue in the next reviews https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I wrote the Polish and English versions separately and made the "READ IN ENGLISH" button which will take you directly to the English version so you don't have to scroll down. To view full-size photos (or to open a photo gallery) simply click one of them. I hope my reviews will be useful https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    Hasn't set fit

Overview: This is a beautiful beautiful bra. I love that the smooth fabric has a pretty floral jacquard weave, and that the stretch mesh panel on the top of the cups has subtle turquoise blue embroidery. Both these design elements really elevate this from being a boring neutral beige bra to something that looks expensive and special.

The stretch lace on the top has what I would consider a pretty tight elastic along the upper edge that would definitely cut in if you're FOT or have any more centre-fullness than I do. I have tall roots, but fortunately the height of this cup ... is exactly perfect for me, and the stretch lace hugs the top of my boobs, but the elastic hits me right at the point where most of my functional volume ends, so it just hugs my boobs in exactly the right spot. If it was any shorter it would definitely cause quadding on me. The cups are deep, and there is plenty of immediate projection at the wire.
It is is mostly smooth under clothing, but I do notice the main horizontal seam shows a bit.

My only complaint about this bra is that the band rides up on me, but that isn't entirely the bra's fault. This is a 65 band which is the equivalent of a 30 band so it's technically two sizes too big on me. I almost always get away with wearing 65s (as you can see in my profile I do wear them a lot) because for one, I don't mind a loose band sometimes, and also I have an ongoing issue with one of my ribs coming out of alignment, and I prefer a looser fitting band for those times. I also find a lot of the 65s I wear to have a bit of a tighter fit anyway. This band however, I will say fits TTS as a 30 band. The other factor is that it is a much narrower band than I have in most of my other bras, and it only has two hooks. I think that might be contributing to it riding up and feeling a bit less supportive. For comparison, my Parfait Charlottes in a 30 band also have TTS fitting bands, but the bands are really wide and have 4 hooks so I don't find they ride up much at all, and they still feel quite stable and supportive despite being too big.

About me: Tall roots, low set, centre-full, projected but self-supporting, even vertical fullness, average-to-narrow roots but functionally narrow, somewhat close set, firm tissue. Average width shoulders but muscular-ish. ABTF calculator size: 26J/JJ, best fitting bra: Comexim Pearl Flower Mint 3HC in 60N.

    Didn't fit

I liked my 65J - Gaia » Sandy Semi Soft (BS0594) quite a bit, so I decided I wanted another. I had also started to think that some of the minor issues I had with the band were actually because the cups were a smidge too small, so I thought I'd try the next cup size up. It arrived today, so I haven't worn it longer than for taking the pictures.
First reaction: oh, this is different than the other one! I guess by going up a size, they thought you'd need more support, so the straps are wider and there are three sets of hooks rather ... than two. This is not a problem for me, though I kind of wish it was noted somewhere on the listing. Especially since I know some people really prefer three hooks, so that could be a good selling point.
Other than that, by the brief time I've worn it, it seems to fit well and have the same comfort as the other. I really appreciate that the straps feel more centered than my other bras. It makes it so much more comfortable on my shoulders.
I'm excited to wear it for a full day and see how it stands up comfort and support wise. I'm still amazed I could get something my size, at least somewhat comfortable, for only $25 and free shipping.

    • Oh those straps look heavenly! This gives you a great shape. I agree that the 65J was too small, this one looks like it gives better side boob coverage. I like bras with 3 hooks too!

    • Those straps do look really nice! And I personally prefer 3 hooks too, just somehow feels more secure lol

    Didn't fit

I'm projected, narrow-rooted, centre-full and need a lot of depth at the wire. This is my first try with a Polish bra, and first time trying a semi-padded style. I followed the Gaia sizing guide on Other Eden and ordered an 85G, and when I first put this on I was surprised at how well it fit my breast shape, better than the UK brands I've tried.

The 3-hook band is quite firm and tight-feeling, and the one-inch wide elastic shoulder straps seem a little excessive, but this bra does definitely lift and place the breasts-up front. I love the narrow wires that actually don't poke into my underarms, the stretch lace edging doesn't cause quadboob.

My concern is that this bra might actually be too small in the cup, as my centre-upper fullness is pushed together to create cleavage and the gore is floating. Or maybe I'm not used to the fit of semi-padded Polish bras with their narrow wires. I would like to try this in the next size up to see how it fits.

Definitely looks too small-looks like the gore is resting on tissue.

    • 2

Otherwise it looks like a good fit though. The bottom & sides of the cup fit well - I fear a size up would be too tall & loose in the stretch lace. Have you tried just a tiny "reverse scoop" - just pushing that center tissue back into the cup on either side of the gore? Do you quad if you do that & does it stay put?

Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG

    I Love This Bra!!!!

First ever with enough immediate projection and narrow enough cups, And straps set narrow enough for my shoulders too!!!!

Additional bonus feature: side boning is in two overlapping parts so it expands with band stretch and fills the entire channel!!!

This is a new shape and design for Gaia and I hope they start making more. Embroidery on cups will show through thin tops ... and the band is about the same as an EM (I need an extender) Lovely leotard back. Cup material stretches vertically but not horizontally. Hides assymetry fairly well. Quality is excellent for the price - good quality sewing and fabrics but band is a bit stretchy (we'll have to see how it lasts).

Only con - only two hooks. Feels secure, and looks very easy to shorten, but still...

In all other Gaia non-padded I go up a cup size like CK to get rid of the upsidedown seven shape. This one is a perfect round shape and fits perfectly.

Advisory: FoB or large center fullness might want to size up a cup?

    Edit:
It is a little itchy after a day's wear, but maybe a wash or two will help.

and oops I bought one. White, 70H, there's an eBay seller with pretty reasonable shipping from the UK selling them...

I'll admit I'm hoping that 70H will have ~10" in the cup, as the 65J has 11". :|a

This bra is so gorgeous! I love the mint green color and the lace at the top of the cup. There are a lot of really nice little details on this bra that I really like. It definitely runs big in the cups in my opinion. I normally wear an 80 F in Ewa Michalak's S cuts and the 80 G in this bra feels huge. The band feels comfy and snug, but the cups are probably about two sizes too big for me. I will be trying this one in an 80 E so hopefully that fits me a bit better.

I ordered this from MagdaBras4you and it came super fast in the mail! It actually arrived just under two weeks. Which is crazy fast from Poland to the United States. Magda is awesome and I will definitely be ordering a lot more bras from her soon!

I just tried this on for size, so it's just first impressions.
    It's very pretty.
It's very delicate and light. Weighs nothing.
Band is stretchy mesh and I can see it stretching out fast. But, I'm on the loosest hook, so I'd have some room to tighten.
Straps are nice and not too wide. Underwires are just tad wider than I'm used to now with EM, but they're still pretty darn good.
The only thing that I'm not crazy about is the soft tack on the gore. I tend to like them glued to my sternum lol

I also feel it looks just a tad too small ... in the cup. Just ever so slightly. Not for quadding, but coverage.

For that reason, I haven't decided yet if I'll keep it. But, the lightness of it and matching Brazilians give it brownie points.

I'll add measures later tonight. I also have a 65I and I will model and measure that one too. It's clearly too big, but makes me wish I had the 65H. You see, I meant to order 65G and 65H, but...wine. I clicked on 65I. Lol

  10. Maureen Semi Soft (BS0606)

I started with ordering this bra in 65E and the band was too loose, the gore was sitting on my breasts, the top of the cup was cutting in on my bigger side and the straps were too narrow and didn't give me enough support. I tried two another Gaias in SS10 cut before and both were slightly too big in 65F and too small or too closed on top in 65E. I kept the smaller ones since I didn't have any better bras back then but didn't wear them much and eventually sold them. In those bras gore lied flat so I was a bit surprised that ... in Maureen it floated and the bra was visibly too small. I've decided to exchange it for 65F, I was glad that this time it'll have wider straps and also wider, and thus probably more stable, band.
When I first tried it on everything seemed fine. Later I've noticed that the center gore doesn't tack again. The gore is also too tall for my liking and with its typical 2 cm width it can be uncomfortable for someone very close set like me. Despite going up a cup size, there's a bit of quadding on my bigger side, not much and it's hardly visible unless I push the gore flat against my sternum. There's a distinct wrinkling on the smaller side but that's just my asymmetry. The underwires fit perfectly on the outer side but the cups aren't deep enough and there is not enough room at the gore for my center fullness. I don't see any difference between 65E and 65F except that the latter gives me more coverage and has a firmer band. I haven't tried sizing up to G cup as I'm afraid it would be too deep.
Quality is very good and it's so beautiful, I prefer brighter colours but this shade of blue and the print are gorgeous. It could also be really comfortable if only I tolerated tall gores. I struggle with skin issues in the bust area and the gore rubs my breasts causing an irritation. Three attempts at finding perfect fit in SS10 and all failed. It's a shame since my two favourite Gaia's spring designs come only in this cut.

I am sad I couldn't make this work because this bra is *very* supportive.
The lower part of the cup is made of very sturdy foam (a tad less sturdy than fantasie molded, but still way tougher than any ewa michalak) and is very uplifting at that - this type of fabric wouldn't collapse under heavy boobs.
Upper part of the cups is made of sturdy lace - I really like this combination, I think in the right size would work wonders for me and everybody else with boobs which refuse to conform to any given mold. This is a great compromise.
It does appear slightly pointy, but not so ... bad, especially because the shape is ver forward facing.
Wires are on the narrow side, but not as narrow as other polish brands I tried and much sturdier then others too.
    Straps wide and comfy.

The biggest complaint I have is the band. 32 was a snug and comfy fit, but it really brings out the back bulge! I was so embarrassed I was really hesitant to include the back view. The only other bra that does this to my back (in any size) is Cleo Lucy.
And even though the band is comfy and supportive, it really put me off :/

That said, I would really recommend Gaia to anyone who fits their range because they are very supportive and of good quality, especially when you take in account this bra is sold for 65zł !

I was looking for a push up model for a long time for larger sizes. The option with removable pockets would be the most suitable for days that are less full or fuller or to the neckline. Here we have smooth cups and foam puff up, the effect looks very natural. It is also not a big push up. It is just right to visually emphasize the bust and add volume to it. I am satisfied and I bought it quite cheap on sale, I recommend it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    Starting Notes
Polish haul bra four of six! This is the black version of the Gaia Adeline. It has some differences than the beige colorway, which will be mentioned as I go along. There was a surprise about the black color, as the product photo shows black lace over a beige or taupe foam. I was hoping to compare it to the Gorteks Scarlet bra, which luckily did turn out as it was pictured, but this is just a solid black bra. I reached out to OtherEden, which is where I purchased my bra haul from, and the customer service agent reply to my email really quickly. I sent ... them screenshots of their product page and my bra in all forms of lighting, and asked if there had been a mix-up or if the wrong photos were online, and what could be done. Unfortunately, the product photo was wrong, so I couldn't exchange the bra for the color I was hoping for. As a solution, they were very generous and offered me a partial refund. I will definitely use it to buy another bra from them. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    Wires
From the time I first put it on, to the time I take the bra off, the wire width seems good, but the shape is not perfect. It follows the curve of my root from sternum to the bottom of my breast, and then it's too rounded on the side. Due to color and lighting, it's not as apparent as in my beige photos, but there is a wedge of empty fabric between my straight-line root shape and the super-curved wire shape. The wires are too tall in front, and they're a bit too separated from me as well. While I haven't worn this bra for a full day yet, I am predicting that it will do what the beige colorway did, and cause it to slide down throughout the day. - ***UPDATE*** - I've worn this bra for a full day, and yes, unfortunately it slid down. I added pictures, and you can see from my body marks the start vs where it ended up. I also included an image with dash marks showing the difference between underwire shape and root shape and it's more obvious by the end of the day.

    Cup Shape
This bra also gathers my breasts out of my armpits, doesn't push them together, but does keep them separated and pushed forward. Instead of a torpedo shape though like the beige bra, it's more rounded! Luckily the sides are tall enough and underarm elastic tight enough that despite wide straps, I don't get any spill back into my armpits. And the upper cup is also either just the right shape or stretchy enough to not cut into my upper fullness! - ***UPDATE*** - The upper cup isn't absolutely perfect, but it's not obvious or bad. By the end of the day, the upper cup stretch lace slide done a tiiiny bit, it only gathered about an 1/8th of an inch overlap at the middle seam. Included a photo with the overlap circled. Easier to see in person, but you can still kind of see it in the photos.

    Projection
It's quite projected in the middle, and immediate projection is excellent as well. It looks like it's almost a 90 degree angle with my body at the very bottom of the cup. I think it has just every so slightly more immediate projection than the beige colorway.

    Band
WOW is it SMALL for a 65/30 band! Max stretch of 27.5 inches, which is my comfortable band measurement. It reminds me of when I first got my pink and black Boux Avenue Chloe plunge bra. BUT, of course, it is also just a spandex-like knit, not powermesh, SO it is STILL stretchier than the elastics on it, so it STILL creates a not-so-lovely three-tired back-bulge sandwich. I prefer the supportive feel of powermesh, and the more-smooth back it gives in comparison. This band will probably stretch with wear and body heat, and start creeping up where the firm strap elastics tug, but only time will tell. - ***UPDATE*** - After a full day of wear, despite being very tight, the elastic did definitely relax with body heat. It rode up a tiny bit where the straps pull on it, and I even made sure to loosen them to a point where they almost felt like they would fall off! Will need to add powermesh, or be ok with it sliding up during the day.

    Straps
Short. Wide. We've heard this story before. Very nice and firm elastic, but that means it tugs on the stretchy band. From the photos, it looks like I'm able to tighten these a bit more, so I guess not QUITE as short as the beige colorway? Or they could just be over tightened for photos. I'll have to re-asses once I wear it for a full day.

    Appearance
It's black lace on black foam. I like the pattern of the lace, but it's just a simple color. No obvious contrast between the shades of black, and like I said at the top, I was super excited thinking it would be black over beige. So to have just a solid black was kind of a let down. BUT, I wear mostly black, so I'm sure I'll grow to love it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> So far I like the appearance on my body much better than the beige colorway. Whether it be because there's a tiny bit less cup volume, or it really is a more rounded shape, this bra gives me both projection and roundness. I haven't worn it under clothing for a full day yet to re-assess the appearance. (Due to the color mix-up on their online product photos, I kept the tags on the bra just in case I could exchange it, and now I've been stuck inside since Friday due to surprise winter storms, so I haven't really had a reason to wear a bra for several days. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />) - ***UPDATE*** - I really like the shape under clothing! I've added a couple of me in sweater. It's very rounded, which I like. From one angle, you can see the seam between the upper and lower cup, but otherwise, it looks pretty smooth. Unfortunately, the back isn't quite so smooth. Even under my thick sweater, I can see the wings causing bulges. I feel like if the bra was powermesh, it would be a bit smoother.

    Comfort
Again, since I haven't had a full day to wear this bra yet, my opinion might change. Being as long stretched as my relaxed ribcage measurement is, this band might feel too tight. Then again, being the nasty stretchy spandex-like material, maybe it will relax throughout the day against my body heat as well. (I should do a before and after worn band measurement test!) The gore is still too tall and wide, so that will probably not feel good throughout the day. Will update after a full day's wear. - ***UPDATE*** - The band doesn't feel too tight, which is great, but the gore hurts. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> It's not that bad once it's slid down, but again, it digs in soooo much and huuuurts if I try to keep the bra pushed up. The rest of the bra feels fine, it's just the too-tall gore.

    Summary
So far, I really like it, and I'm surprised it took me so long to finally have an all black bra. I wear mostly black and darker colors, and have dozens of black panties, so why don't I have bras to match?! The forward projected and rounded shape it gives me is nice. Will re-review and probably add more pictures once I've had it on for a whole day! - ***UPDATE*** - I do really like this bra, and it looks really good under clothing (from the front. The back I'll ignore for now haha, I probably won't wear under really drapy clothing). Other than the gore and the stretchy wings, I really like this bra! Will probably wear regularly.

Thanks for the detailed review. I looked at some Gaia semi soft bras from other eden a while back, but wasn't sure how they would fit or look, so it's nice to get some more info on them. Glad this one works for you (for the most part!).

    • 1

Wilderness1 Glad I was able to add more info. :) I'll wear this one today and try it out!

    • " Unfortunately, the product photo was wrong, so I couldn't exchange the bra for the color I was hoping for. As a solution, they were very generous and offered me a partial refund. I will definitely use it to buy another bra from them. :)"

That's not generous at all - as OtherEden is a UK company they are bound by EU returns laws. Not only are you allowed a 14 day period (after receiving the goods) of returning all online orders, but this also applies outside of that period "If goods you bought anywhere in the EU turn out to be faulty or do not look or work as advertised, the seller must repair or replace them free of charge or give you a price reduction or a full refund.". They are literally breaking the law if they haven't given you a full refund.

    • It looks lovely! I'm glad you like it so far, and hope it gets more comfortable with wear.

    • 1

hugsforyourjugs That must be nice, living somewhere that they care if they have the wrong photo. :P I live in the U.S. so I'm used to "product may not appear as in photo" disclaimers. Are they still bound to it if I live an ocean and continent away?

    • 1

MamaPagan So far it doesn't feel too tight, but it is doing the sliding down thing and if I push it up the top edge of the underwires/gore feel like they're going to tear into my sternum :( I'll probably have to change to shorter underwires!

    • Bummer Slava-Zone. Hopefully a wire switch will make it better.

    • 1

Slava-Zone it doesn't matter where you live, no. (Also: US disclaimers of "product may not be as appears in photo" are totally unenforceable--if the product is not as described, you are entitled to a refund or exchange if that is what you choose, and if you filed a claim via PayPal or your bank/credit card to return a product that was not as described, they would force a refund). However, it's true a lot of customers actually do prefer a partial refund instead, especially if they are cost-sensitive and/or would have to pay a lot to ship the item back / wait a long time for a replacement. If you speficically requested an exchange/refund and they refused, that would be iffy service, but if you just sent an open-ended request saying the bra did not match the product photo and they offered this partial refund solution and you accepted, that doesn't seem bad.

This bra is really pretty, but unfortunately way too big for me in the cups. I normally wear a size 80 F in Ewa Michalak's S cuts. The band on this bra feels snug and comfortable. But the cups are about 2 sizes too big. I also like that the wires feel a bit softer than Ewa Michalak. I'll definitely be trying Gaia again but in a smaller size. I ordered the really pretty navy blue in the Lauretta, but for some reason the stock photo is the brown version. If you click on stock photos the navy one is in there though.

I ordered this through MagdaBras4you and the bras were packaged super well and shipped really fast. Her customer service is also amazing! I'll be ordering from her again!

I'm sorry that the size is too big for you. But do not worry. I will send you a smaller size :)
Gaia bras are really worth recommending.

    • 1

MagdaBras4you oh no worries about it being too big! I'm very excited and happy to try Gaia. I think I will really like the smaller size :) Thank you Magda!

I love the gore dangle! Sorry it wasn't a good fit. I hope your next one fits beautifully. I love Gaia styles and wish they would cover my range.

My shape: FOB, projected, narrow roots and shoulders, soft tissue
Appearance: This semi-padded bra is so beautiful in person! The brightly colored fabric looks like watercolor flowers, and continues from the cups to the band. The top lace, straps, and elastic are all a matching cerulean blue.
Fit: I ordered this bra, and two others, for my first order from magdalenahukalowicz at bras4you.com. She was super wonderful to work with, and very communicative.
The band on this particular Gaia bra is VERY stretchy. I had it on the tightest hook right away. The cups are quite deep. The lace tops are strethcy, but gape on me. I might be able to do some alterations on them to tighten them up a bit, but since I've never attempted that particular surgery, I am a bit nervous to try it.
If you like your bands tight, I'd advise to size down a band with this model.

You never know about the bands - I have a Gaia 70 band that should be a 65. I love these colors - gorgeous bra! I tend to have the gaping with stretch lace when it's a semi-soft. Regarding a possible alteration: a lot of Curvy Kates have lace that runs along the top edge of the cup and that's what gave me this idea. You might try running matching thread along the top edge of the cup. Then you can pull it in slightly to tighten the cup's gaping (if that makes any sense!). If it doesn't work, it's easily removed and no big deal. I did surgery on a Gorsenia soft cup this morning, I just did a little foldover and tacked it which left a crease. Now I wish I'd remembered this gathering technique.

    • I meant to say the CK's have ribbon running along the edge of the cup. Now that I think about it, not sure if it would work with a semi-padded; it might make it pucker weirdly.

    • 1

Actually, that might work with these semi-padded ones, since the lace is a separate part of the cup. It shouldn't affect the bottom, padded portion, and like you said, it's easily removed if it, for some reason, looks odd.
Thanks for the suggestion! I am totally gonna try that.

    • I do the fold over, but right by the gore and/or the strap where it will be the least noticeable under clothes.

    • So you don't cut or remove any of the lace, you just fold over the amount you need and sew it "shut" basically, yeah?
I really need to try this.

    • 2

Yep, no cutting or removing. It allows for re-do's if your size changes. I make my alteration near the gore like cupandahalf suggested. I'm one of those that if the top of the cup lays perfectly then the bra is too small everywhere else, so this alteration happens a lot.

  16. Ginger Maxi Full Cup (BSM556)

I recently received this from Mandapandarawks (thank you!). What an awesome bra! It's officially my new favorite. I've always wanted to try Gaia but was hesitant because I wasn't sure what size to order and didn't want to get stuck with a badly fitting bra. I usually wear balconettes because filling out the top of a full cup is impossible. Not so on this one. There's no lace, stretch or otherwise, and I think that makes the difference. I do find the wires a bit narrow but I have wide short roots. I also think the color design is nice. The cups are a pleasant salmon color with tiny white polkadots. The straps and band are white. I'd given up on padded bras a while ago because they're usually too shallow. This one stays in place without pushing the wire out of my IMF and it gives a nice rounded appearance under clothes.

My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots.
Special thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this bra (and many others!) to try on!
Appearance and Fit: Same fabric as the Gaia Ginger Full Cup (see review here: https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dium5/)
So this is an interesting fit for me. It's lovely everywhere except, you guessed it! the tops of the cups, which gape everywhere except the center. I think I'm going to keep this bra, in spite of that; I can't seem to fill out tops of cups that don't have stretch lace. So far, the semi-soft Gaia bras fit me the best, but I like that this bra is all ... the way padded. It would be a great bra to wear in the cold of winter.
I can definitely tell the difference between the regular full cup and the maxi full cup style. The gore is a lot higher on the maxi full-cup, and the straps are made of wider elastic. I have a little issue with fabric creeping into my armpits, which leads me to believe the straps are a touch wider set. Strangely enough, it doesn't bother me as much on the maxi full cup as it does on the regular full cup.
I think my perfect Gaia bra would be a Frankenstein mishmash of the 65J semi-padded cups and thinner straps with 70K band and its 3 hooks. I wonder if they could make something like that for me? (The only bra place I've ever heard of doing anything remotely similar to that is Comexim.)
Edit: Ok, so the gore HURTS. It's too tall and digs into my sternum. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

    • How does the top of the cup look under a shirt? I have the same issue with half cups, but if you can't see the line then it's good to go. :)

    • Love these polka dots and the wider straps. So cute!!

    • 1

I also wish Gaia would make a custom bra for me, but I don't believe they do that. Their designs are beautiful, their fabrics comfortable and their price unbeatable. However in my size (65J) I find their construction gives too little support. I would want them to give me a 65 band, but with 3/4 hooks, wider straps, but NOT a higher gore. Maybe I`ll just write to them if they would do that, asking doesn't hurt.

    • 1

BLee That's EXACTLY what I would want, too! If you do email them to ask. please let me know what they say!

I had never heard of Gaia brand bras until recently. and I think I'm in love! This bra fits me really well, and I had given up on padded bras entirely! Granted, this is considered semi-padded, since the top part of the cup is a black lace, but hey, it's more padded than any other bra I have tried that fits!
Fit and appearance: As stated above, the bottom majority of the cups are padded, with the top a single layer of lace with a ... thin piece of elastic along the top edge to help it lay flat. The fabric is a soft, satiny texture, and the design is a shiny blue color with delicate black linework flower designs. The straps are black, stretchy and thin! which was a nice surprise, as lots of larger cup bras tend to have those fat straps. These ones are super comfortable, as well. I have a "thing" about straps; they are either too itchy, too wide-set, or not long enough for me. These are perfect.
The cups are pretty much perfect on me. They are narrow and give a good rounded, projected shape. These are the three part construction, with a seam down the middle and a piece along the top. The back of the band is a black stretchy, soft fabric with a 2 hook clasp. I prefer three hooks, personally, but this fits so well that I don't even care. The band is ever so slightly tighter than I am used to, but compared to the sister size 70I Gaia bras I tried, this fits me the best.
One little quirk with this particular bra is its squeakiness. It's not super loud, but I notice that it squeaks and creaks a little bit when I move.
Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Gaia brand bras if you are looking at affordable Polish options. This bra is just awesome. I don't even want to take it off to measure it right now, hahah!

This bra is an epic fail lol. Honestly, this bra gives the strangest shape/silhouette I have ever seen.

Gaia is another new brand to me. I honestly don’t know much about how this brand is supposed to fit or anything. I believe this is either supposed to be a half cup or a balconette. It’s completely unlined and is a 3-part cup. There is no horizontal seam.

I love the design of the fabric, but that’s where the love for this bra ends. It’s oddly super deep, but not deep enough. The wires are wide, and the gore is either wide or the cups are too separate because it seems like everything pushes from the middle out. The gore does not tack at all. The tops of the cups are wrinkled, probably because the bra might be too big. It seems too large/wide but shallow at the same time.It is honestly an abomination of a fit. It’s too bad that it didn’t fit correctly because it is a really pretty bra!

I had good luck with Gaia, same size, white lace bra. The fit was really good for me, but totally different style.

    Hasn't set fit

Oh my goodness, I'm finally getting around to writing a review for this bra I re/cd last winter! I purchased two Gaia bras, Samira Soft and Chantal Soft, in the same size, 70I (translated to 32G UK) however these are *small* in the band. The BAND on this particular bra measures the exact same as this Ewa Michalak BM Chili https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dngre/ So, I think this band is more like a tight 30 band (Ewa Michalak tight). I know it's black, and technically black bras are always tighter because of the dyeing process. But wow - these two Gaia bras are *tight* in the band (to be ... fair though, these are the only two solid black bras that I own r.n.)

The cup depth is about the same as my 70I (32G UK) Gorsenia bras.

Therefore I think this bra is about 30GG UK, *with a tight band. This Gaia bra has a 4-part cup. I actually went through my bra collection to see if I have any other 4-part cups and I only have one - a soft Comexim! The top part of the cup is lined with elastic, so it may not be suitable for someone with a lot of upper fullness.

I would compare the quality as similar to Gorsenia, which is more of a budget-friendly brand (see this article https://www.thebreastlife.com/blog/10-polish-lingerie-brands/), my Gorsenias are holding up quite well, actually! So, not at the level of quality as an Ewa Michalak or a Comexim bra, which both cost more, but I have found GAIA bras online on amazon for as low as $9 on sale. Granted this was like 32D, or something (so a common matrix size) - that bra was obviously on clearance.

I just checked the prices on amazon.com for these bras, and the average price is around $35 for a full-bust size; however it might be cheaper/easier to buy these directly from Other Eden in the U.K., since that is the amazon seller - they do have a local return address in either the U.S. or Canada if you're in N. America. Just FYI, but you might want to compare the cost of going through amazon, or going through the seller directly (Other Eden).

I actually bought this directly from Gaia's website https://www.gaia.com.pl/ but I used a packing forwarding service, because they only ship to the EU. The cost was 17.53 € (about $17.70 usd) plus the cost of the package forwarding service. Bummer I can't try it on! It's just too small. I don't want to stretch it out at all.

I compared this 70I to all the other Gaia 70I and the band is smaller! Although I don't stretch the bands out very much when I'm measuring them.

I know Gaia does have some die-hard fans in N. America and I think it is because of the SHAPE - narrow and projected cups. For what I paid for this, these are top of the line bras for this price point!! I looked at some popular molded bras and they were about this price, and they would not last as long as this one (I'm just guessing based on the construction, which is similar to Gorsenia).

Addendum: I just checked again Gaia's size chart https://www.gaia.com.pl/tabela/ (note: I use Google translate to read the website in English) and plugged that into the A Bra That Fits Calculator.

70I is for sizes 68cm -72cm in the band
    101-102 cm in the bust
According the the ABTF calculator, if I plugged in the numbers correctly, it's closer to a 28HH UK (about). note: if one is switching back and forth between UK/EU, you can't exactly "sister size" between them. You can sister size in EU, and you can sister size in UK, but to go back and forth in both EU and UK...it's a little messy.
