Fits better @40:8 than @42:7 42F. The gore tacks really well, first time ever. Cups are wide enough for my breast tissue, also the first time with an underwire. I quad just a bit, not enough to go up to 40G (UK), my guess.

    LOVE!!

Yes, it's a little "cutesy", but it's summery and more importantly, IT FITS!! I don't have the super spread-out look that I get with the Etta, either. I get a nice, round, smooth and uplifted look in my t-shirt as well - makes me look smaller, too. Very pleased with this purchase!

    Didn't fit

This is my regular size in Elomi. I usually size down one cup from my Panache/Curvy Kate size.

Fit: I had no support and containment in the cups because there was no projection at the bottom so my breast tissue spilled out the armholes (which were super high!). Also, it was so tall on the sides it was quite uncomfortable to move my arms (not great for activities). It was SO POINTY. My breasts actually couldn't fill out the points completely. A really terrible shape on me in general. The band, however, was just right: firm and supportive without cutting off air.

Comfort: Nice soft thick fabric. Elomi's elastics and materials are always top of the line. The thick straps were also quite comfortable. However, the fit precluded any real comfort.

Style: I liked the bright red-pink, which is Elomi's thing (I have three or four bras from them in a similar color). If only the fit was right!

    Didn't fit

I had tried this bra in several sizes a while back, and it never fit quite well enough for me to buy one full price. Then I found this one on sale, and now I have it to wear on my lazy days. Ideally I would have narrower but bigger cups on this, without the elastic band at the top.
The Good: It fits comfortably, and I like that the J-hook makes me correct my posture more. It is well made, and the lace portion isn't flimsy or scratchy. The center gore actually sits almost right against my sternum (closer than any bra before it). The Underwire doesn't dig ... into my underarms
The Bad: There is a small strip of elastic material along the top of the cup to prevent it from gaping, that gives me a bit of quad-boob. The cup is too wide and while it fortunately the wire doesn't dig into my underarms, it rests at an odd spot along the side of my ribcage, farther back than it should sit. It doesn't detract from comfort most of the time, but when stretching or reaching at odd angles (being short I do a lot of this at work), it can be a bit tight against the side of my ribs.

    • Yeah Elomi's run rather wide IMO but I agree with them being the only gores i've found yet that tack, so win some loose some. Ebay sometimes has good prices on Elomi's if your ever looking for another

So pretty, this is very silky and shimmery like what you'd expect from sateen. The bra is a little flimsy in the cups compared to my other elomies, this does not have the side panels you find in the plunges. It's a lovely bra, fits really well, has strong elastic and feels so well made it's like wearing air. The gor doesn't work if you have center breast fullness in combo with firm tissue because the wires are very much in charge. Which is a plus if you have a bra that is also the right shape, this bra would be great for someone with bottom fullness and a normal space between their breasts. It would also be great for anyone who has softer breast tissue, it is remarkably good at shaping for an unlined bra. Personally it is a bad shape match for me I'm gonna stick to elomi plunges they love me best.

This bra feels comfortable and supportive. I bought a 38J because I need the cup volume of a 34KK and this bra stops at a J-cup. I need to wear the band on the tightest setting. The band does not ride up but I have some weird empty fabric on the bottom and sides of the cups.
Also I find it kinda generous on top, would have even a bit of spare room there. I will try the 36J because this bra is 1 cup and 1 band size too big for me.

    Fits

I am finally realizing that a stretch lace upper panel is fairly key to a great fit for me. I have been so pleased with the fit of my 38HH - Panache » Jasmine (6951) (with extender because the style does not come in a 40 band) that I almost resigned myself to exclusively wearing it and its’ similar cuts Panache Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) and Sculptresse Chi-chi Full Cup Bra (7695). It’s—by FAR—my best fitting style, but those darn Panache tall gores are such a buzzkill on my high-root frame. They peek out of even the most modest of v-necks or ... scoops.

All the other Elomi styles I have worn have fit so-so on me. They have a tendency to be a bit too wide in the cup, with extra space in the outer cup and not enough allowance in the middle. Is that what's called an east-west issue?

Anyway, I'm supposed to be discussing the Elomi Jocelyn Plunge Bra (8750) which works well for me because of the stretch lace upper panel. Not as quite perfectly as the Jasmine, but very close. And it's a plunge! Hello v-necks, I've missed you!

The other Elomi styles that have worked or nearly worked for me were Elomi Betty Plunge Bra (8170), Elomi Caitlyn Underwire Side Support (8030), Elomi Energise Uw Sports Bra With J Hook (8041), Elomi Rita Multiway Banded Bra (8011), but in each of those I have spillage at the top-center almost regardless of cup size.

With the Jocelyn (as well as with the Jasmine/Envy) I am able to wear a smaller cup size than I'd otherwise wear in Elomi or Panache, and the lace accommodates my extra fullness. And with the smaller cup size comes narrower/shorter wires which also fit my frame better. A win-win!

I tried the Jocelyn in a 40HH and also a similar cut (Elomi Edie (4000) ) in 40H, and I was quite surprised that the 38HH fit without an extender. It's either very stretchy or I've gone down a band size. Time to remeasure, I suppose https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This bra is excellent for petite/short ladies!

It's softer then I initially expected based on other reviews.

The wires are narrow and don't come up too high in the arm pits

The band feels very true to size

The bra feels like air. I love that it's bandless! More companies need to make Bandless options for those of us that need them! It's nice not to have a stupid band rolling under.

The colour is meh. But alas! It fits so who cares?! Not this girl lol

I do think I might need a cup size up as I'm between GG and H with elomi. There's not massive spillage anywhere just some loose skin in the top of the cup

I would say this is a great option for this cup size! It handles these pendulous....super soft.....post 4+ years of lactating breasts brilliantly.

      Great news!

    • 2

It's great for short ladies, you say?

    • 1

It's actually marketed for petites! Says it right in the description which is why I had to try it!

I might order the H and see if it eliminates the top tissue minor spill. It's very minor. Lol the next size up might gape.

Give it a try! I was pleasantly surprised.

    • 2

I heard short and came running, lol. How's the cup shape?

    • 1

      I like the shape :-)

I will take side shots and add them.

Its by far the comfiest fit under the breasts and armpits on this short torso lol

    • I'm glad you found one that works for you.

I'm wearing a recently purchased elomi Etta in 38HH right now. For months I've been searching for a bra that fits and this is the closest that I've come to getting the fit right.

I got it partly because it's supposed to be for petite frames. I'm not petite (5' 4-1/2") but have been having problems with the sides being too tall for me on other bras that I tried.

For me, the wires are so high on my sides that they poke my fatty tissue and the wires are a hair too wide but not as bad as the elomi Rita. I was surprised by how tall they are. But still, it's the closest bra that I've found to fitting me.

I like the construction. It seems very well made and durable. I have to wear the 38HH on the middle hooks to be properly snug. I also bought it in sister size 36J and that band is a bit too tight but the cups fit except for the wire problem.

I guess my point is that while it's marketed for petite frames, it may not work for petite or even non-petite ladies. I guess my breasts must be high set or something. I don't know. It's still a very nice bra.

    • 1

Ooh, I was a bit interested in this one..being a bit vertically challenged myself ;). But wondered how wide the wires were, but you mentioned narrow..DO you think it runs small, average or large cupwise?(Not exactly sure on my size in elomis.

    • 1

I think if I was full on top...I'd have needed my normal H cup size. The GG fits me in the cups aside from a teeny bit of loose skin spill in the top of the cups. I'm going to grab the H cup as well for comparison. Compared to the Elomi Caitlyn I have the wires are much narrower and the wings lower. I think the Bandless aspect of the bra makes a HUGE difference with the fit if you are short/petite or struggle with rolling bands under your breasts. There is no stretch in these cups at all (but not uncomfy) I know some ladies that are full on top rely on stretch with certain styles/sizes.

Sadly, this is the best fitting bra out of the 20 or so I've tried recently. The underwires are bizarrely wide; the wire doesn't poke me under the arms because it ends -behind- my arms, but the bust point is in the right spot, so it seems to have been deliberately designed that way.

It does push my boobs a bit too far to the side but not as much as other styles and brands. I have closer-set boobs, so I normally have the problem that bras are too wide set and straps are too far apart. This bra has those problems but less than most. The center ... gore does not tack in this size (nor in the 38K which is clearly too big in every other way). I have been told this might be because my boobs are set too close (they are about 1 finger width apart), but I have had bras that tack when I was only slightly smaller (38J).

In the pics you might be able to see that my left breast pushes over the cup very slightly. This happens in -every- bra I've tried at my current size, and it also happens in this style in a cup size larger (38K).

The band's elastic and underwires dig painfully into my ribs after extended wear. I do like the hook in the back that allows it to convert to a racerback: SO rare in my size.

My first all day Elomi !

This 40HH - Elomi » Persia Bandless Bra (8850) bra holds my full boob in the cup with no slop at the top, very little breast to chest at the bottom, no arm poking at the side and it really meets my chest in the middle. I wore the bra from about 8 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. I usually shed bras pretty quickly. Most Elomi's I own start to become uncomfortable between 5 and 8 hours. This is tighter that I have been wearing, mainly to accommodate cup size, but maybe I've lost some around ... the back. I am glad to find that this bra can make it beyond all day on the first wear.

Cups are very thin fabric and the bold patter will limit it's use under thin fabrics, but it sure is pretty. It's also kind of garish and out of my color scheme. I love color, though, so it's a lot of fun, but I had to keep my sweater buttoned all day (I'm a school principal so I try to not have provocative lingerie showing though my clothing.

it's new, so it may or may not stretch out, it definitely has molded to my chest a bit and eased over the back, but I haven't found extreme stretching out of shape to be a problem with Elomi. I picked up one of a similar or the same style on sale a few years back and the band rolled terribly, something to do with my back folds and bad fit, no doubt. None of that.

I expect it will hold up well with washing, but I almost always hand wash my bras.

Oh! I haven't come by any other styles yet that fit as well as this one. After settling into the cups, there is no noticeably gapping on my small side nor any noticeable cutting in on my large size. Amazing.

While it isn’t nearly as plunge-y as the (admittedly less well-fitting) Cacique bras I’ve worn in the past, I do really appreciate the low center gore … it does allow me to wear a modest scoop- or v-neck. Most bras in my size want to peek out of any moderate or low neckline https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> They tend to feature excessive coverage, in my opinion, ... and tall center gores that can be a bit uncomfortable when they fully tack. The 40HH - Elomi » Betty Plunge Bra (8170) allows me to me to wear quite a few garments (though no deep Vs or deep, wide scoops) that cannot be worn with my 42GG - Elomi » Caitlyn Underwire Side Support (8030) , 42H - Goddess » Rose Banded Underwire (6080) , or 42GG - Panache » Tango Ii Balconette (3251) and for this I am very grateful.

Are the the wires a smidge too wide and do the cups rub the front of my armpits just a little? Well, yes. But these are minor quibbles. This bra fits pretty darn well and lets me wear some of my favorite clothes.

This bra give me a lot more support than I have had in a long time and fit well and reliably through my weight flux. The underwire never started to poke through and that is important to note. It loosened very little between washings, keeping it true to size while stretching enough with movement to be quite comfy.

This bra did not offer me sufficient support. I returned it after it failed a basic bounce test. The fit was mostly good and the shape was better than I'm accustomed to with sports bras, but it failed in its basic function so it was of no use to me.

I sized down from my normal cup size and I recommend you do the same if you purchase this bra.

Beautiful bra, with full coverage but not a super high gore to ruin a v-neck. Fabric was a bit stiff when trying on but probably softens with wear. A bit too much room in the bottom of the cups for my boobs. Felt like I was being pressed down and even then there were a couple of small wrinkles in the fabric. Would be better for someone with lower fullness in their breasts.

This is the first bra I have worn in years that I could find in my size. I have been wearing the wrong size bra for months (40D) with boob spillage and band sliding. The lace sides add structure, the straps are wide and stretchy enough to support, and the band is wide and extremely supportive. I'm not used to wearing lace and sometimes I find it a bit pokey on my skin, but it gives so much support that I don't care. It's not the sexiest bra in the world, but the quality is excellent in that the band stays in place without rolling and my boobs barely jiggle at all.

Matilda is in my opinion Elomis greatest hit. It's their besteller and they make in a bazillion colours. I got the plain black because it was the only one available from a local online shop and I needed it quickly.
I had a few Matildas in my old size 32JJ and they were a good fit although a bit wide and the only plunge that worked for me in that size range. I was surprised that the 32GG also works in my current size! It's actually a good width for my fairly wide root and has a good cup height. The gore is low enough to not pinch ... my close set boobs. The wires are fairly hard and it needs to be worn in. At first the gore would press into my sternum but it gets better with wear. The fabric is mesh, it's quite thin and feels a bit cheap. The cute embroiderie does elevate it from looking boring and cheap though. I would recommend this bras as it's very widely available, does fit a good range of sizes, is supportive, sturdy and longlasting. It's most likely to work for someone who likes a lower gore but still good support, wider wires, tall cups and overall a sturdy supportive every day bra. If you need more space on top and softer wires, go for the Charley plunge with stretch lace.

Maybe if you try the bra with an extender it’ll help with the gore pain. Since it looks like the band is pretty tight.

    • Ok I gonna try that. I found the band quite stretchy and it's on the tightness level I am used to. So I did not think it's too small.

    • Also, you know what helps me. You can manually bend the wires to curve to your rib cage. It’s like “wearing the bra in” to make it more comfortable. I think HerRoom had a video tutorial on how to do it. Watch the first 30 seconds: https://www.herroom.com/how-to-bend-underwires-for-better-fit-video

It has helped me with slightly too strong gores.

This bra is comfortable for me. I found the band and straps to be comfortable. The lower gore is better for my close set breasts. The wires feel like the right width for me and the cup provides the right amount of coverage. My only issues with this bra are a slight bit of quading at the top and some wrinkling along the wires. I'm not sure if it maybe isn't projected enough, causing the creasing at the bottom, or perhaps I need a size larger. I think the quading would be solved, if the cup were slightly more open on top or had a stretch lace on top.
