First off, gorgeous bra. Soft smooth fabric, great colors, just beautiful out of the box.
The number one thing that I love about this bra is the wires. Most wires are just a general formed U shape. These actually have some curve to the shape so the move around the ribs instead of cause some pain during break in. Number 2 positive is the lower center gore. It is only about 3 inches high, where my Freya and Panache balcony bras are 4 inches high. Much lower in the front and I love the shape. Now one negative of the silky fabric ...is the fact that it causes the straps to slide off my shoulders easier.
I do need a smaller band, but it is no worse then the two Freya bras I have added. The band is also very stretchy. I'm not sure if I need a larger cup as the center gore is slightly lifted or if it is just because my breasts are too close for the width of the gore.
Overall gorgeous bra, definitely a keeper even if the fit is not quite perfect.
For azure/plum: Absolutely the wrong size. I'll need to go up a cup size and maybe down a band size, so I might be ordering another size soon. I'm sad because it looks lovely and the bands are super stretchy and comfortable. I thought I could manage to shove my boobs in it, but alas. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Update: For my review of the size that fit me, see the 28H.
This bra fits really well. I put it on and it was an immediate plus. My family was shocked at how well it fits and looks on me. The material is really soft and I can't complain about anything except the bows that were on the straps. they were in the way of wearing a couple shirts, so I did cut them off. But other than that, it feels great. The bra feels comfortable around my ribcage, it's not too tight, but it's definitely not loose. I think I like this much more than the tight band on my 30J. The straps sit comfortably on my shoulders, and don't dig in too much. My breasts are fully encased within the cups and feel completely supported. I love it already and I've only worn it a couple hours.
I own this bra in Ivory and love it, in part because it fits me very well. Unfortunately the fit is not the same in this colourway (Wine/Navy). The cups are considerably smaller and cut in at the top and sides. Otherwise, it is very pretty to look at, the straps sit well and are fully adjustable and the wires do not poke. If I could size down in the band I would, but I find this with all the Showgirl collection and the bras are still wearable for me, they will just not last me as long once they stretch.
Thanks to other reviews on here I was ...aware of the sizing discrepancy between the colours and ordered this one in a 28FF and a 28G. See my other reviews concerning other colours/sizes! Between the two sizes I ordered in this colour I noticed some quality issues. For starters, one of the two was missing the central bow, suggesting they are either not attached strongly or there was a manufacturing error. There are also lots of loose threads where the cup joins the band and one of the ribbons running across the cups is too long and bunches up. Read more 91 more words
I adored these bras, and until I lost some weight, they were 100% of the time my go-tos.
They are great for close-set breasts, and though they are a bit shallow and wide in the cup, it was worth it for that "cakes on a plate" look. If I hadn't switched over to non-padded Polish bras in an attempt to minimize the girls for work, I would have repurchased these in a heartbeat in a smaller size.
This is by far the best fitting Curvy Kate bra that I have found so far. While I love the Tease Me, the bands have given me trouble. The 28 fits more like a 26 and the 30 fits more like a 32. The gap in sizing in the Thrill me bra isn't nearly as bad. This 28 band fits more like a 30 and I have to wear it on the tightest hook row. The cleavage is a perfect, not too much. Many complaints have been about ability to wear under clothes. I have yet to find a bra in ...my size (28HH) that does not show under tank tops. Living in Texas this means I either have to alter my tank tops, which never come out fitting right anywhere else, or deal with my bra straps showing. I prefer the latter. At least these are a pretty color and have cute bows. So what if I look like "that mom" of my kid. Tell the bra industry to start making bras for larger cup sizes on thin people to be worn under clothes. Tell the fashion industry to start making clothes that fit in the bust readily and affordably available to the general public. Enough for my rant. I wear alot of loose boyfriend style or small men's off shoulder type shirts. The ribbon is not very noticeable with these. A long necklace gives amazing "seatbelt cleavage" so it doesn't look like I'm wearing a sportsbra or "uniboob" effect. It also allows for a thin frame with large breasts to be able to wear non-form fitting clothing without looking 15 pounds heavier. Long heavy pendant necklaces rock. Other than small men's tshirts, my "uniform" is black tank tops or cheap black v or scoopneck fitted tshirts from Ross junior's department. I own 20 of each. The ribbon is noticeable, the scoop or v-neck shows collar bones but doesn't go crazy with cleavage, and this bra, unlike the illfitting VS dream angels push ups I used to wear before learning there is more to life than DDD. For those who are thin with large bust, things like collar bones on fitted clothing and "seatbelt cleavage" from necklaces on looser clothing can equate 15 lbs. Seriously. On the tight fitting clothes it so nice to finally have a bra that doesn't give me bra bulge, armpit fat, back fat, etc, from miscplace breast tissue. For years I have HATED the back fat effect under fitted clothing because my bra band was too big and my cup size too small. This bra does a tremendous job with helping that. Its still a little loose in the band but its better than I've experienced yet. Read more 375 more words
I have the peach/plum color. This is the first CK bra that has ever fit me in the cups. The cups are a nice shape. They are open on top and don't gape. The cups aren't too tall which is good if you're petite. Even though it's a 30 band it doesn't ride up at all. I like the 28F CK Tease me and Thrill me bras, but the straps are really wide. I don't have this problem with this size. The strap width is just right. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I definitely want to alter this band because the 28 band is so much better on my Tease Me bra.
Love the Curvy Kate Showgirl range and love the Thrill Me bra. However, this bra is designed to push you in and up and therefore I imagine most people (especially with bottom heavy breasts will need to go up a cup size or even two to get an adequate fit. Those with top heavy breasts may find that the rather open top of the cups is fine for their regular size. The bra itself has no padding but is lined with a three part cup that goes from shallow to open on top.
When in the right cup size this bra feels super comfortable. My ...breasts do not feel squashed or restricted. The band is very generous whilst still firm enough to stay in place for my current 26 inch under bust. Likewise the straps are supportive yet soft and stretchy so I don't get any strain.
In terms of the look. Whilst the straps are super comfortable they are too thick to be worn under dainty clothing and singlets (which is exactly what you would want to wear this bra under). Lets face it, this is not an everyday support bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
The lace and the frills at the top of cups look great without clothing. In fact they look rather burlesque. However, they prove to be a nightmare under clothing. Not only do they show through but they also create bumps and lumps and can also stick out funny giving you a square kinda odd look under clothes.
All in all I feel very comfortable when wearing this bra for special occasions. Read more 165 more words
This is such a gorgeous bra. I think a 30J would fit me better. The cups are really shallow. I spill out the sides and top. I will keep it because it's so beautiful and I like trying it on every once in a while.
