This is a very delicate bra. I enjoy the designs of the Curvy Kate line, but I feel some of the designs are not suited to larger heavier breasts. The gore on this bra is far too short for my breasts and the wings are also too short. Strangely enough the straps are too far apart for my shoulders. I would have loved this bra because the color is adorable, but unfortunately it just doesn’t work.

I bought this at a boutique today. I tried on 3 colorways: latte (nude), black, and red. The nude bra was the first and it fit perfectly and gave me good projection. It fit flat against my sternum and the narrower cups seemed to work well for my close-set breasts. I now understand what many of you mean about getting more projection with narrower cup styles. This definitely gives a front and center look.

The black is gorgeous in person! Much prettier than how it looks in the picture. I like it better than the nude and the red. Unfortunately, the black in 38GG was not the same size ... in the cup as the nude and red colorways. It was a tad small and cut into my breast tissue on the sides under the arm. I'm not sure if all the black bras run smaller or if it was some kind of quality control error. I might try a 38H down the road, just to see.

I'll post back later once I've worn the Ellace for a day or two, so I can comment on any fit issues after wearing it all day.

Update: After wearing it all day, there is a bit of an issue with the wire on the right side. It rubs a bit at the top under the arm, so it looks like the latte is having a similar issue to the black bra, but I didn't notice it until wearing it for a couple of hours. I'm hoping there's a way to adjust the wire since it fits well everywhere else. I was aware of the center gore pressing on me, but it didn't feel painful or chafing. I think it's just that this bra tacks completely against my chest (which doesn't always happen with my close-set breasts). Since it is new, it hasn't been broken in yet, but probably as the band loosens, it won't press as firmly. I will measure the bra today and see if the cup is a tiny bit too narrow or if the wire is short. My guess is that maybe I need the cup a tiny bit wider on the right side.

Black dyes require higher temperatures and the materials shrink when dyed at those temperatures. As an engineer very familiar with foundries and metal shrinkage, these bra patterns can be designed to compensate for the shrinkage. If we can design 3D molds that replace 200+ separate components for molten metal, fabric would be, relatively, simple. We need more engineers in bra design ;-) ;-) Giggle.

    • It looks like the latte has a bit of the same issue as the black (with the right side wire ending on breast tissue), so now I'm not sure if the black and the latte were the same or if it is as I suspected and the black was cut a hair smaller and I just didn't notice the problem in the latte at first.

Love4Pollinators what you said makes sense, so it's possible the manufacturers didn't adjust for shrinkage.

This bra is really cute but the band feels tighter than any of my other Curvy Kate 38 band bras. I'm hoping it will break in. Lots of red marks right now. The gore is tacking, things are just a little crowded because my breasts are close set.

Just a quick review, will update later.
This comes up large in the back, deffo go down a cup size. I think it's a tiny bit narrow in the cups for me, but not overly so. In general, the size is too small for me, but I fluctuate greatly (breastfeeding) So this bra is perfect for my more deflated days when I need something smaller.
The shape was fabuloius for someone all out front like myself, minimal overspill and no having to poke boobies back down. Comfortable, semi-enclosed cups. This bra gives a fantastic shape under clothes and a decent lift and level of support. The back is comfortable and a good strap length.
Sadly the wires poked through 5-10 wears, which is often the case for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" />

It is clear the cups are too big for me, there is extra space at the tops, as well as the side. Although the gore lays against me, it moves from side to side.

Pretty close to a perfect fit. The gore dug in horribly and was extremely painful. In the last picture, you can see the wires digging into my breast tissue. Also, the decorative mesh/top part seemed to be "loose", like I didn't feel supported.

This bikini makes me feel inept, every time I tried to put it on I had to do so backwards. Then turn it around, I can't imagine doing this with a smaller better fitting band. I hate the back clasp, it's cheesy plastic... I hate plastic. But the design of that clasp, I couldn't figure it out without having it in front, I didn't want to force it because it just felt so cheesy. The back clasp cracked about a week ago. I've worn this three times for a max of 6 hours. How did it break, oh by putting it on how I should have been ... all along, with the clasp in the back! Bleh. This coming from a woman who as a child played with my grandmother's porcelain antique figures and not even chip one.
So this was on sale, and I wasn't confident in my size. But really the band wasn't providing much support if any anyway and the cups hovered away from my breast at the bottom with the straps tightened. Yes, some of it could have been my sizing error, but I hate plastic. It was rather pretty, damn.
I however love the poppy print and ruffles. I'm a fan of red and greens that don't make you think of Christmas. I also like unique florals, that don't scream grandma or moo moo. It has a certain rockabilly flair about this print. The matching bottoms fit weird and rode up, down and all around. But I adore that it has tie sides, and not fake ones, I've always wanted a bikini bottom with that. The ruffle on the bum was a nice addition. The waist height seemed ok though, I can't quite place what made it ride up though.
If Curvy Kate was listening I hope next season has a better way to close the back of the bikini top, and bring back the print. Even though I got the wrong size it was reasonably comfortable and gave a decent shape, and fit better then all of my poor fitting bras. I wonder if a tie back would have been better?

This bra is really comfortable as long as I'm on/near my period and my boobs are swollen. If not, I can't quite fill the top of the cup since I'm heavier on the bottom. I can't wear CK in a G either. After a few hours of wear, you get what some bloggers have called the "upside down 7" effect since the top panel stretches but isn't elasticized. I don't feel like I'm going anywhere though (I've run around work in this) and I've worn it for 12+ hours without significant marking so it was worth buying.

    Pros
    Good boob lift https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
    Comfortable for wearing to work

    Cons
This has only been worn twice and I'm already on the second row of hooks
Cups have minor gaping at top and side

Overall not too bad. I'm going to keep this because the gaping isn't too noticeable under a shirt and I can modify the band once I need too.

I measured incorrectly, and ordered a too large size - this is a nice quality bra otherwise. The underwire digs into my armpits and my sternum.

    This bra is amazing!

I just got it today, so I have yet to actually have a full day's wear out of it, but so far it feels very comfortable. I've tried it under several different kinds of tops, and it doesn't show underneath very much at all. The seams are very slightly visible under a tight top, but nothing out of the ordinary.

The straps are very comfortable and have a very cute little bow detail.

The top of the cup is sheer with a basket weave at the top of the part. The top lacey detail of the cup doesn't sit flat against my breast, but it ... doesn't show through on even a tighter top. I rather like that it stands away from my skin.

The gore is very comfortable, and it doesn't come up high enough to poke my sternum. The wires are a bit higher under my arms than I'm used to, but nothing that I couldn't get used to.

The back band is comfortable, though the area underneath the cup can poke me on occasion. I can't say for how the band will stretch as I wear it, though, as it is a new bra.

Overall, it's a very pretty bra and is quite comfortable. I would recommend it for a friend.

This bra is beautiful and I wish it fit but the cups are too small and the underwire pokes into the side. I think I would wear a 38hh in this bra rather than a 38gg.

I don't think I would buy this bra based on looks alone, except in this case I wanted to try several different styles and sizes of Curvy Kate. It was just one cup size too small, but that seemed to make a big difference. The underwires seemed too narrow and didn't go far enough into my armpits. There was some definite quad-boob happening.

I'm not really a fan of this style, with the large expanses of sheer mesh. When your cup size gets bigger, so does this panel along the top, and I just don't like it. I prefer more all over lace or embroidery. Also, I thought the black and pink was a little too plain for me.

Since it was too small, I can't say how comfortable it would be in the long-term. I don't like how the bra looks, so I wouldn't buy it unless it was super cheap.

This is one of my favorite bras. It gives great support and is comfortable for all-day wear. The only drawback is that the seams are noticeable through thin clothing.
