    Didn't fit

The Great Amazon Prime Wardrobe Try-On, Pt 2!
My shape: FOB, narrow roots/shoulders, soft tissue, 32G (though I'm thinking maybe more 30G since a lot of these 32 bands are too stretchy for me!)
Fit: So this Curvy Kate feels like it is not as wide as other styles I have tried, though the wires are too wide for me. The straps aren't as wide, either, though there is fabric in my armpits, mostly on my smaller side. The fabric is really soft! The band feels true to size, though a bit stretchy for my tastes. As usual, I have slight gaping on the top of the cup on my ... smaller size, though it's not as big of a deal on this bra.
Appearance: I love this black style! The color was black/champagne, though the beigey color is only on the bows at the straps and along the bottom edge of the band. The top of the cup is a stretch lace, the bottom a silky smooth mesh feeling fabric. The straps are the same soft material, as well; I have problems with itchy/stiff straps, but these are perfect.
Overall: I like this style and the feel of this one, it just seems a tad too big. I'm going to see if I can try a different size and go from there. Not sure what is it about this particular style that makes it fit better on me than other Curvy Kates, so keep in mind it runs a bit narrower in the wires.

Ellace seems to be the deepest CK at the wire that I've ever tried.

    • 1

Also, Curvy Kate designed it with more center projection than many other models.

    • I love mine although I feel like the band is snug for a 30 (and I have a 28-29" snug ub). Part of the tightness might be that I have 30E and probably need 30F instead. I want the black one next. And the burgundy. I have crimson and latte.

    32G

    Didn't fit

Center full, close set, immediately projected, shallow apex projection, short-waisted, somewhat narrow

Flamingo is, perhaps, unusual among Princess colorways. What an unpleasant surprise: this is NOT a wide, shallow Curvy Kate. This 32G UK is only 5.5" wide and offers 11.25" of depth. This is a deep and narrow bra. Sigh. What happened to the wide, shallow model with the 6'+ wires? Enter expletives. Some of us are NOT "narrow." Growl.

Like a 30GG Florence I previously tried, 32G Princess wires require a disproportionate amount of band length when compared to smaller cup sizes. It is a bit bizarre and most assuredly a design miscalculation. From a physics perspective, ... this design characteristic creates fantastic cantilever support. Perhaps that is precisely why the band/wire proportion seems "off." On my 28' underbust, however, the wires pull over 6.3" wide. The cup distorts significantly, and it doesn't look like it fits at all. Adding an extender simply creates a much too loose band. Strange.

My prominent nipples are vividly visible above the lower part of the cup. And, my larger breast is torpedo-shaped because one wire sits on 1/2 its circumference. This is due to the standard .8" Curvy Kate gore. Admittedly, this is a typical experience for my close-set, center-full breasts. Wacoal is the singular manufacturer who has created a flexible, adjustable gore. You can view how this design change fits very close set breasts in the 34G photos: http://bra.pe/IiFF/ And, the same bra on less close-set breasts in 38G: http://bra.pe/IdHM/ Curvy Kate, we need solutions.

This bra, I purchased hoping I could easily alter for a summer gardening bra. Adding a wider wire will shallow the cup too much for me. Summer is such an uncomfortable season for this avid gardener with way-too-sensitive nipples who regularly encounters thorns and branches. Searching for a summer bra for my breast characteristics reminds me why I never wear wires: wired bras are not designed for my physique.

Although I have sensitive skin, the materials did not irritate my skin as others have reported. For this, I am very thankful.

The colorway is vivacious and smile-generatingly cute. Generally, I dislike pink and kitsch, but this colorway is fresh and quirky. Fun. The embroidered polka dots did show through, but it looks like a cute swimsuit. I did not find the show through offensive. And, the straps? Well, I'd love to show them off.

    Three x three fasteners, .75" straps, soft materials, fun colorway, this bra has everything I prefer....excepting a 6"+ wire https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />

See I like that their balcony bras are narrow now, but the memory of the awful combination of steel wool and ass hairs the Princess I once tried on was crafted from makes me forever avoid any incarnation of this bra like the plague.

    • 2

      lcl0706 ...lol!

    • lcl0706 I had avoided Princess for two years because of the multiple complaints about "steel wool" cup edge. Perhaps in addition to changing the wire width, they also softened the materials. Sounds like they are listening to their customers :-) :-) Finally ;-)

My favorite Curvy Kate I think!

Tried a bunch of C'Kates when I was a bit smaller / a couple years ago - but despite their cute designs, fit-wise I've somehow never found them to work too well for me in general.

(mostly I'd struggle with inadequate projection, too wide-set straps and / or cups that cut into my upper fullness)

Ellace, however, is a different story.
I reach for this bra quite often and it's held up so well over time! I've had it for about 2+ years (somehow forgot to review it) and after each handwash it feels almost good as new.

I like the added elastic on the ... underband, I like the stretchy lace, and I'm a big fan of this teal colorway!

I'm bordering on 32GG but this 32G contains me pretty well. It seems true that Curvy Kate has started to make firmer bands (read: more true to size) as they used to be quite stretchy and I'd lean towards 30, but this 32 band feels great.

The underband elastic does seem to help in that regard!

    - 32F/FF(recommended by abrathatfits calculator)
    - narrow root
    - projected
    - slightly full on top
    - center fullness

this is the first time that I bought a bra by overseas delivery

    *REVIEW*
    - BAND: The band is strong and moderatly tight. It was hard to fasten at first, but I think it will be okay because it gets longer as I wear it.
    - CUP: Little big. When I ordered this bra , I was bigger than I am now and the calculator said I was 32G. But now I lost about 2kg compared to then. The top part of the cup is fine, but the bottom part wrinkles.
    - DESIGN: It is a very simple and basic black moulded design. I like the light leopard pattern.

I returned the bra because the cup didn't fit, but I would have worn it for a long time if I did.

    • Thanks for the review. Sometimes bottom wrinkles also appear if the bra is too shallow on bottom. I think it is easier to start with a non padded / moulded bra to find your size as moulded bras are difficult to fit.

    • Thanks for the review . Do you have any bras that fit ? How those compare to this one ?i just had a reduction and I am around your size now 34E -32F and try to figure out what could fit me .
I always liked the look of this bra, but I was too big for it before reduction ,but hoping it might work for me now. But overseas ordering is expensive and making mistakes are even more expensive

    • alisa Thanks for your advice. Actually, I ordered a non padded bra this time and am waiting for the delivery now. I hope it fits me.

    • Rhmspring I've been wearing the wrong bra so far and it hasn't been long since I started finding the right bra for me. Even so it was definitely more comfortable than the bra I wore before....
It's best to try and buy a bra at a store, but there are only few stores that sell my size in my country, so I can't help it. I received this bra on Wednesday, this was my first overseas ordering and my first mistake. :’-(

It's so frustrating how two bikinis from the SAME company in the SAME cut can fit so freaking differently. I tried this, as well as a pink Revive bikini by Curvy Kate, both from a prime Wardrobe order, luckily, so I'm not out any money. Where the Revive was tight and the cups too small, this bikini has a HUGE band and shallower cups. This should be labeled as a 36 band at LEAST just based on how stretchy it is. It's a shame, because the design is really cute: I love the navy blue mixed with neon yellow, and the gore detail with the cutout bands is a nice touch.
The quest for bikini bliss continues.

Very short, slightly narrow, projected, close-set, even center-full breasts....

All thanks to DDandBeyond 's encouragement, I now own a comfortable bikini top. Because gore width has been a fit problem in 87 bras, I was certain this would require an alteration. Fortuitously, the wire channel is an inch longer than the wire. Moving the wire away from the gore toward the underam worked perfectly. If you have close-set breasts, the Shockwave is an immediately available option.

Usually 32Gs are too tall for my very short breasts. The Shockwave's closed cup works well for me! Short-rooted friends, here is a bikini for you.

The band is very ... comortable. And, in swimwear, I don't want anything rubbing or pinching. The wires are too wide for my narrow breasts, but they cause no discomfort. Because they are wide, my breasts are not lifted and centered like in a Comexim bikini. But, I traded this for a "no way this will ever fit" bra, it arrived in two days, and is instantly comfortable. I'm thrilled. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

I would never have considered a 32G Shockwave, but it fits remarkably well after moving the wires. Thank you, DDandBeyond !

Edit: Two hours later, this is the most comfortable padded bra I own. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> Wow.

Wow this bra is gorgeous. I've never seen such a pretty purple on a bra before. The lace detail is so intricate and amazing- what I love about Curvy Kate.

The fit is mostly good. The cups are a little wider on top than the Portia, and there is no restrictive ribboning. The lace sits flat and is really flattering. This bra cut fit me a lot like a plunge which I love. The gore is, understandably, low. It gives me a more rounded appearance than the Portia and is less coverage (I'd say) than the Princess.

The design on the cups is more modest than a lot of CK bras, so if you like detail but are the kind of person who'd rather not have your bra announcing its existence to the world, this would be a good option for you. Personally, I like design-obnoxious or not- but it is nice sometimes for the sake of smoothness to have a toned down bra.

This bra covers my nipples better than the Princess, but mine are smaller sized.

This bra gives an interesting "no bra" look that I didn't like at first, but have learned to appreciate. I live in a place with 300+ days of sunshine and having my breasts pushed up to high heavens is not always comfortable. This bra feels like I'm going braless without the painful uncontrolled boob movement.

One little thing that I find weird about the fit, the ribbon at the top of the cup tends to cut in a bit depending on how I'm standing. My more-even-than-FOB shape doesn't really agree with this so much. It gives me a bit of a conical shape.

I used to hate unlined bras, but Curvy Kate manages to make some that are comfortable and flattering, with much-appreciated wide wires.

Couldn't really write a proper fitting comment on this bra as I returned it immediately a while ago, but I can mention that why I returned it was that it kept squeaking constantly whenever I moved. The fit was otherwise unmemorable, I remember it looking okay, but not being very comfortable. It might have worn in and become more comfortable with time, but between the lackluster fit and the constant noise, I decided it wasn't worth it to keep at the time.

The wires are so wide! I had to alter it a bit because the fabrci in the armpit area was rubbing against my inner arm and armpit soooo badly. I tried to move the straps over a little, too, because they were really wide, as well. Even after these alterations, it still is really uncomfortable. I've come to the conclusion that Curvy Kate bras are too wide in the wires for me to wear. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

I returned this in a 32JJ - the wires were way too wide for me, too, and the shape just didnt work at all. I finally read one positive review of wide-wired bras - they can minimize you so your shirts fit better, by smooshing your boobs around the to side? Mmm, no, its not working that way for me lol

However i just ordered a Lola on sale - hoping it'll do better for me lol

    • Yeah the minimizing effect only works if your breast roots are wide enough that part of your breast tissue can somehow settle that far out to the side. This is not the case for me. Massively wide wires only leads to empty space on the sides and spilling way the F out in front!

    • 1

I need wide wires to enclose the entirety of my breast tissue, which, btw, has been moving more towards the front of my torso but at the same time because of where the root starts I have to move boob to put my arms flat against my sides. I got rid of a lot of my button down shirts during my recent closet clean out because the two buttons where my boobs are refuse to stay closed. They button, but if I breathe, they don't stay that way.

After trial and error I've narrowed down a small batch of sizes I can work with. This gives a lot of spillage, but still good support. It will work with outfits that either openly display bust or require cleavage. I will size up in the cup 1 to 2 sizes for similar bras in the future.

This is a padded bra with 3 different segments in the cup. The fabric is soft and stretchy not unlike a bikini. For me personally the seams are a bit too noticable under a t-shirt. I was surprised this bra "sort of" fits me considering it looks a lot bigger than bras I currently own. However it definitely is not the right bra for me. The cups gape at the top particularly for my smaller breast. The gore floats and also shifts to either breast, so I guess it's too wide for me. When I position the straps as intended they are very close to falling off my shoulders.

So annoyed that the waist is too big! This was the BEST strapless bra I have ever tried, absolutely perfect! But the waist and hips were too big, which made it bunchy and unflattering. Such a good supportive shape on the cups though, and the construction is beautiful. Bit of a nightmare to get on, though.

I tried the Curvy Kate Luxe is 32FF and 34F (my usual sizes), but the cups were too small. The 34FF was too big in the band.

The 32G is a decent fit, but not perfect. The band feels good and the cups look ok from the top, but the underwires sit too low. This seems to be happening because there isn't enough projection at the wire, so my tissue is forced up into the cup. This could still fit my needs (strapless bra for a specific bridesmaid dress) because you don't see the bottom of the cup, but it isn't the perfect fit I am looking for.

I'm starting to think there isn't a perfect strapless bra out there.

Amazon Prime Wardrobe: Swimsuit Edition! (Where I order bras/bikinis available on Amazon Prime Wardrobe to try on and add more data to Bratabase!)
My shape: FOB, projected, soft tissue, narrow shoulders

So I initially really like the colors of this bikini, until I realized that it looks like those blue and purple designed Solo cups. The white ones with a zig-zag of purple on top of the splashy blue, do you know the ones I mean? Now that I realize it, I can't unsee it, hahah!

Anyways, the style of this cup is different from the other Curvy Kates that I tried: the cups are constructed of 2 vertical seams and ... are REALLY TALL. They fit me ok, but the tops have some major gaping. The gore is tall, the wings are tall, the cups themselves are tall... I think it's because it can be made strapless with the removable straps? Or it could just be that's the bandeau style... I'm not as familiar with this cut.

Despite the Solo cup colors, it's a cute top. It's padded, with dark navy blue trim along the top of the cups and the underwire. The gore has a cute cut-out design. The style isn't for me, but I wanted to review it and measure it in case anyone else here was looking at this top!

I was surprised at how well this fit me in the straps and wires, as Curvy Kate tends to be wide and unwearable for me. (I threw two 32G CK bikinis in my mom's Prime Wardrobe order, since we are still narrowing down what bras she likes.) The band is tight, and the cups a tad small, though. would suggest ordering a cup size larger if you are in between sizes; the cups are padded, which makes my particular breasts quad out.
The bikini itself is super cute. It's a bright pink with teal blue diamond designs; very beachy. The fabric is ruched on the cups, which are 3-part construction.
If I could find this same bikini in a 32GG for the right price, I would try it out!
