This bra has to be one of the scratchiest bras I've ever worn. Wearing it outside on a hot day is like having your boobs set on fire. This size fits me better than the 30J, the top of the cups doesn't saw into my armpits like the larger band size does. The straps are still set too wide so it will rub on my tail of spence. This bra is also very wide and shallow, it gets pushed down on me almost immediately. The top of the cups are friendly to my sloping shape. The gore is also quite wide. I would only recommend this bra for people who do not have sensitive skin, do not need a lot of space at the wire, and do not have close set breasts.
omgggg I thought it was made of steel wool when I tried it on. So so so scratchy I broke out in red streaks of angry skin.
"Wearing it outside on a hot day is like having your boobs set on fire." Wow, Sovavosi !
"...so scratchy I broke out in red streaks of angry skin." Ugh, lcl0706 :(
It's like they had a surplus of Brillo pads and needed to do something with them. It's weird that it doesn't feel scratchy on my fingers, just on my body.
CK has the worst elastics. I recommend trying an extender so they don't dig in or roll over so much. But still that stretchy band...
I'm currently wearing a CK Plunge that is usually really a scratchy but I'm using an extender today and that is helping a lot.

I picked this up as it was one of the only other 28JJs I could find on Amazon. This bra is kind of average to me. The wires are super wide, they are almost on my back. The top seems suited for short rooted/sloping shapes, as I only have a slight gap at the top of the cup on both sides. At the bottom of the cup I get a flattening effect above the underwire, I am guessing because it is too shallow? This bra gives me a half sphere look and I really don’t like how it looks under a shirt. For those with smaller breasts that have short roots, this bra would make a very nice t-shirt bra.
Thanks for the review! I had a similar experience with the fit of this bra. I thought maybe it was a size issue but maybe not.
I think it is a scaling issue. If I hook the bra together and set it down, it curls up like a capital D on its side. The wires should not be this wide.
Yes, that makes perfect sense. I had considered trying different sizes to find a better fit, but I think you're right that it's because of the wide wires.
I'm not quite sure what to make of this bra. I really liked the Curvy Kate Daydreamer Balcony Bra (CK5401), and this is supposed to be the replacement. It doesn't feel as light on the body as the Daydreamer, and on me it gives an extremely pointy, almost torpedo shape. I am naturally pointy, but not as pointy as this bra makes me look. The straps are also set wider than the Daydreamer so it causes me some armpit chafing. The best part of this bra is the crazy print and hot pink lace. I am tired of just tan or black colours in my size! Overall, it is a nice bra but I wish that they had not changed how the straps were set on the Daydreamer when they updated it.
I really love this bra. It's made of a lightweight, silky material and feels much lighter to me than the CK Ellace. It's like not wearing anything, that's how light it feels on the body. This bra also pulls my splayed boobs back to the center and gives me a nice, rounded shape. The top sheer part is very friendly to my sloping shape and is not itchy, despite the appearance. The center gore feels good and the straps aren't set too wide like the CK Princess. It's also fairly projected, though not Ellace levels of projection. It still slides down on me. Despite that, I think I like this bra more than the Ellace.
It's really a great bra. I wish Vegas, its replacement, was as comfortable.
That's disappointing to hear. I ordered a Vegas along with this one.
I hope you like it. I find the band elastic/lace to be the problem sadly. But I have imf sensitivity issues.
If you're not terribly sensitive, you will probably be fine in the Vegas. I was one of those kids who would throw a fit if I could feel the seam on my sock underneath my toes, but I didn't notice the Vegas being uncomfortable. I only wore it for a few minutes though. If you do have more sensitive skin, listen to cupandahalf!
Full disclosure I still wear it and it is my second best fitting bra I own right now so the discomfort is minimal. I also might cut the lace off and enclose the elastic in soft fold over elastic but that's just how I roll.
Progress! So glad you found something that mostly works. :-) Bra fitting can be intensely frustrating. Phew!
This bra is very nice looking and less scratchy than the CK Princess. The upper edge of the cups are still slightly itchy, so not good for people with sensitive skin. The top of the cups are closed and fit well on my shallow top. I find the cup width on par with the Princess, therefore it is too wide and shallow for me. It does not do a good job of pulling my breast tissue toward the center, this bra emphasizes my splayed shape. If the CK Princess is a good fit for you, this bra is an attractive looking alternative.
After a short time wearing I can say a few things about this bra. 1. The wires are way too wide. It goes around to almost my back, way past the center of the area under my arm. 2. The depth of the cup is perfect 3. The straps are way to widely placed, they dig into the soft tissue at the armpit joint area. I'll have to alter them for a better fit. I'll make the under arm whole a touch wider at the same time. 4. The wires need to be bent to curve around a body. I'm pretty sure ribcages are not flat across the front, but the wires are. There is no gentle curve that would make it fit around a body.
Appearance wise the bra is OK. Not as lifted as I'd like. Because of the wire and underarm/strap issues I'd rate this much lower on the comfort. Once altered and adjusted it will probably be a much better bra.
It fits. I was expecting like a daily boost. However it was not. It’s more like Well-made Polish bra style, more like Comexim but little bit of Ewa mixed. Very interesting shape for Curvykate
Adding bra in for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database. ☺
Emily is an underwire non-padded bra in a balcony style.
The band measures 23” with a max of 30.5”, with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.
Cup depth was 12.75” as measured by hovering the cup between the knees and placing the tape measure into the cup without any resistance, to a max of 15.2” stretched over the knee. The center height of the cup is 8.75”.
The central gore is a bit higher than my other bras and after wearing it all day (more than twelve hours) the wires hurt my shoulder blades... I tried to bend them a bit and it seemed to help. I like the colour of this bra, anyway.
Beautiful bra. I have 28J desire bra too. compare with desire the depth was just right for my size but somehow there was wrinkle on the top slightly, actually because of that I tried to sell that. but I decied to keep it bra. then I fixed it. also I'v been looking for Red sheer bra since I sell my Fav ill-fitting red sheer bra. It is the most compotable sheer bra that I ever worn but the sheer section is so huge It doen't look so pretty like D or DD models.
If you have serious underarm boob and need a bra for that look no further. This is really kind of wide and shallow for this side and there tends to be some middle squish and overflow
This is the pink/white version. So far I will say I love the flower detail on the straps.

This is my second go at the Princess, also having had a 30J before a little weight loss. It was acceptably comfy for me, but not fabulous. I love the round, full shape that it gives to my breasts, with plenty of lift. The band stretched quite quickly (though I will admit I love having my bra back super tight), so it rapidly travelled from the loosest hook to the tightest. Underwires came up a little high at the sides, leading to occasional poking. I found the cute polka-dots to be a bit of a downfall, as they tend to be quite obvious underneath many of the tops that I wore.
I think the change in my bodyshape made a style that was good into a style which was just okay.
