Oh Comexim, why do you hate me? As usual, I really wanted this bra to fit. The lace is soft (too soft to be supportive?), the look is lovely, etc. The cups are just so open at the top as I have experienced in other Comexim styles. I used to love long line bras back when my belly was smaller/didn’t sit so high. This one fit fine around my belly, though. Perhaps because it is more like a 38 band than a 36.

I am actually kind of glad the band is so large. I would be tempted to keep this bra and see if I could alter it to make it fit properly, but the band being already on the tightest hooks for the bottom tells me that’s a bad plan.

So sad for you it doesn't work, because conceptually this is a beautiful bra!

There's definitely some scaling issue going wrong here, similar to (but worse than, I think?) your Miss Bee-have.

Seems like Comexim's 'standard production' for larger sizes suffers with comparable issues to many larger-cup bra manufacturers (straps too wide set, wider wires, excess fabric near the tail of spence etc.).

Wondering how much custom alterations would help you out here!

    • 1

Erica from A Sophisticated Pair did a YouTube on custom Comexim alterations, thought it was interesting. If you are interested...although I've never done custom alterations w them, so I'm not one to give advice.
      Here is the video https://youtu.be/METoV07IF6A

too bad about this bra : (, it looks great on your skin tone!

    • 2

bubblegum I agree... it just seems like something broke down on how they made the size. I am admittedly not that full on top, but I have never had bras shaped so comically. It’s so funny because holding it as if the strap were one inch over is a world of difference.

And thank you BraOdyssey for sharing that YouTube link! I have been worried about trying to order it customized without first experimenting myself so I can see how much things need to be moved. I just watched it and I feel so much more informed about what it would actually look like. (I literally never would have gone looking for this because I am not a video person.)

This bra does NOT fit. It’s actually a bit funny how much it doesn’t fit. The huge gapping I have at the top of the cups? Either because I sized up too much or not enough according to Breakout Bras recommendations. It really isn’t helped by how wide these straps are. They are basically in my armpits if I don’t pull them up and pretend they’re basically a racer back.

All that being said, I’m tempted to keep this bra and try to Frankenstein it to make it work. This is for several reasons: first, I don’t think I’m ever going to find a bra that actually tacks ... at the gore. I think it’s unrealistic in my cup size and with my boobs almost touching as I sit here braless writing a review. Second, I love bees and I think this is such a pretty bra. Third, my boyfriend said I have a “bee cup” and I nearly died laughing. I would love to be able to wear this bee cup regularly.

If I keep this, I will be altering it to move the straps in, likely adding a j hook in the back, and bringing in a bit of the top fullness when I reshape the angle on the sides. We shall see....

The bra is gorgerous. But those cups and straps fit insane. Like scaling gone wrong. I had no luck with comexim either in my size range (32K). If you order directly from Poland you can request a lot of alternations on the bra that they do for you. Good luck for your alternations!

    • 3

I love this bra but I hated it so much when I tried it, too! I must’ve sized up too much or something because it was so big that my boobs looked cross-eyed! 🤣

    • 1

Bee cup - that's funny XD

It's a suuuuper cute bra though - I completely understand you want to frankenstein it! (I've been very tempted to order but they ran out of my size, might be a good thing though considering how people are struggling with the fit of this particular model).

I wish they sold it directly through Comexim because with alterations it could be amazing!

First, I want to note that I purchased this bra from Breakout Bras, whose @Comexim come in UK sizing. Yes, the tag actually says 36JJ. Bratabase converted it automatically to an 80N.

The Ingrid fabric has been discussed plenty, so I won't go there. The bra is very well made, and the fabric is sturdy and soft.

So uh...this bra is huge, I think? I have INCHES of space in the top of the cup. It was hard to photograph the empty space without just basically taking a picture of my boobs, but hopefully y'all can get the idea from the one picture I provided. I also had ... a good amount of empty space on the outside of the cup, but it's not visible because of how I'm holding my arms.

I'm just confused. Is the bra huge, are the cups too tall, does it want someone more full on top? I'd really like to exchange it for one of Breakout Bras' other Comexim styles, which are:

    Rose 3HC
    Sonia Padded Balcony
    Basic Padded Plunge
Belle de Nuit Padded Half Cup
    Queen of Hearts Padded Plunge
    or, Ingrid in another size.

    Advice is very appreciated!

    • The height of the gore and cups seems tall. Compared to my 90M, the gore is almost .5 inches taller and the cups are about the same, and they shouldn't be considering Comexim grading. Maybe this is a mistaken raised gore and cups that got mixed with a normal batch.

    • But the depth seems about right. About an inch smaller than mine, a sister-sized cup up from yours.

    • Do you fill out the bottom? Maybe try another plunge in 80M? I fit a cup smaller in my Comexims than I did unlined bras before I grew out of them.

    • Thats why everyone requests reduced cup height in larger sizes. Because the cup heights are stupid. at least thats what I was told.

    • I found mine perfect for my short roots though. Although I am full on top.

    • Yeah, I fill out the bottom nicely. And honestly, the bra is really comfortable!

My measurements could always also be a bit off, especially the cup depth. I find that one tricky.

Do half cups still have the same crazy cup height? If so, a half cup might be wearable in my size.

    • I have a half cup that's a sister-size (bigger band) to this Comexim. It's a bigger at the apex (by about half an inch) but the gore is a bit shorter and the cup height is about 9 inches, so much shorter than yours.

    • I found Ingrid to run the largest in the cup, and be the most open on top, of any comexim plunges I've tried. It's kind of an outlier to their usual fit.

    • wild_muses, that's odd because I've found it to be the smallest, both in band and cup, & most shallow of any Comexim bra I've tried.

    • see, this is why I dont want to buy them. Its totally custom in my size and they are totally inconsistent. I mean, ewa is frequently inconsistent in bands, but not everything else

    • Actually, dbmamaz if you buy from Breakout Bras you can get one with free returns and shipping and they stock your size. They have my old size, 90M (UK 40J), and sister sizes down. I agree that buying from them directly can be sort of daunting though. I'm still working up the guts to try to get another one to replace the ones I grew out of.

I'm not even sure I want to buy ANY more polish bras except the SF. My Jasmine fits so much better. Jasmine's wires dont shift down and hurt me. Its the only one. Its the only one with enough projection.

    • I feel your frustration. I only have one Curvy Kate and it digs in at thearmputs so it's a constant battle.

    • I hear you both. Panache Envy is basically my only reliable bra for all of my fit issues. It's not perfect either, the wires are kinda stabby, but I pad them over with moleskin. Jasmine is a little pointy on me.

    • Envy dug in below my boobs - it didnt have enough projection or immediate, not sure. And it was the only bra where, when I outgrew my 32Js, instead of quadding, it stopped tacking. Not sure why. But it didnt work. tho someone (bad w names, i'd recognize you if I saw you, i think you wear 30JJ lol) said only the black was problematic, but . . eh. I'll stick w jasmine.

Have been wearing an 80M, and got larger. Wearing this on the tightest hook. Very soft fabric. Wires fit about 2 fingers width further out from my outer bottom room and 1 from the top outer root. Wire fits ok towards the inner root, but I'm more close set than this bra, so the top of the gore floats about a centimeter off my chest. There's some gapping where my roots are shorter than the cup where it attached to the strap, and a sharper turn from top to bottom in the fabric, but I think the foam may get better about that with wear? Despite the floating ... top of the gore, there's not a lot of pressure on the bottom of the gore where it hits my sternum. I wish the straps were narrower. I'm glad to be able to start reliably ordering the same sizes and cuts and end up with something wearable. Cups are slightly empty on the outside and almost overflowing toward the middle, but is definitely wearable. Its a little frustrating that multiple plunges of theoretically the same size and cut fit so differently, but I'm very glad they will make my size, so I will take what I can get. This bra seems to fit better than the beiger Elena but worse than the Paola purple lace one- all gotten in the same order, same cut, and same size.
For a non-lacey bra, this one is particularly soft fabric and seems to stretch to fit my shape better than many of the "smoother" non lacey fabrics. Seams, Top edge of cup, and color are all very visible under thin or lighter colored shirts, but it is padded enough to hide nipple bumps. I really like how soft the fabric is.

Have been wearing an 80M, and got larger. Wearing this on the tightest hook. Wires fit about 2 fingers width further out from my outer bottom room & from the top outer root. Wire fits ok along root towards the center, but Im more close set than this bra, so the top of the gore floats about an inch off my chest. There's some gapping where my roots are shorter than the cup where it attached to the strap. It's fairly comfortable, but there's pressure on the bottom of the gore, due to the top floating an inch away from my sternum. As always, I wish the straps ... were moved in, but when I've tried custom alterations it always makes something else even more wonky, so Im sticking with this structure. Im glad to be able to start reliably ordering the same sizes and cuts and end up with something wearable. Cups are slightly empty on the outside and overflowing toward the middle, but it seems wearable. Its a little frustrating that multipul plunges of theoretically the same size and cut fit so differently, but Im very glad they will make my size, so I will take what I can get. Weirdly, this bra seems less projected and more smooshing my into my armpits than the Paola purple lace one I got in the same order that's supposed to be the same cut. Enough padding to hide nipple bumps, however seams and top line of the cup are very visible under thinner shirts. Beige is lovely, but it's frustrating to pick between a color that wont show, or a smoother texture (the lacier bras show less seams, with only minor bumps from the lace, but are normally not beige or very light colored). This bra has a different, more faceted shape than my previous Comexim plunges, unsure if it will cuve with wear? Elastic on band/wings grips skin quite a bit.

Have been wearing Comexim 80M's but got larger. Ordered an 80N. Wearing this on the tightest hook. Wires fit well, about a finger width further out from my tissue's outer bottom root, but fitting at the top outer and inner root. Im a little more close set than this bra, so the top of the gore floats about a centimeter off my chest- not too bad or digging in hard. There's a oddly harsh turn on the top plunge panel where it flips from the top to bottom but I think it may just need a bit of wear to get the foam used to the curve? Lace ... is soft and everything feels prettty comfotable. As always, I with the straps were moved in, but when I've tried custom alterations it always makes something else even more wonky, so Im happy with this structure. Im glad to be able to start reliably ordering the same sizes and cuts and end up with something wearable. Cups are full with no significant overflowing, empty bits, or wrinkling. Well padded to hid nipple bumps.
I love the softness and feel of the purple stretch lace. The grey isn't my favorite, but complements it nicely, and leaves neutral bra straps. I love how the lace bras from in this brand fit (more than the non-lacey fabrics) but I wish it didnt show bumps under tshirts. it's still less than the obvious seams of the non lacey fabrics.
After 5 minutes of wear, nothing is obviously hurting or uncomfortable. The bottom of the gore does hit the place I get sores from some of my bras, and has a small amount of pressure, but hoepfully this lace is soft enough to not irritate me when I get those. Overall, Im very pleased with this bra, and may have to order more while they are still makeing this colorway with this material.

I normally wear an 80M in Comexim but have been pillowing out the top so tried an 80N. Normally I wear plunges, this is my first 3 part half cup, shape just doesnt fit me. the wire along the bottom fits, but somehow the outer wire sits in the middle of side and pokes me in the armpit. The entire top of the cup is a wrinkled mess as half the volume is wrinkled in my armpit and a lot of my tissue is sticking out center front. I think i need that plunge panel to smooth out how the center front sits. My nipple sits on the ... seam of the first seam (between the center and middle panels) Im am more center full than outer full, so this is just a huge mis-match for my shape. The staps sit too wide, which seems to happen on some Comexim orders. Due to the shape mismatch of the cups, the gore is pushed away at the top, adding pressure in the band at the front, although the longline dispreses this pressure somewhat it also makes it flip up/curl. Otherwise the band fits well. The top of my tissue roots sits about 2.5 inches lower than the cup seems to want it, leading to a huge gap at the top, but the bottom doesnt project immediately enough, leading to a lot of pulling and weirdness. Cups also sit too far east west.
Overall the weird wrinkling and spilling out of the shape mismatch, and it's pressure on the front of the band make it where I will not wear this bra.

Regularly wear Comexium 80M plunges, I gained some weight and am sizing up the cup. This is a longline- which flips up a bit if I slouch. The top of cup has room, which normally I have been puffing out so I guess Im kinda at a half cup between an M and N. Also my roots arent as tall as this bra is designed for, so that half inch gap at my root sort of follows down to where the fabric turns. Outside edge of cup/wing is too tall and runs into my armpit, wrinkling things. The wire is too tall here. It almost seems like there's ... not enough immediate projection? or the wires sit an inch under where I project from so the cup doesnt fit well, extra room on outside of cup, Wire is too long, it both pokes my armpit and extends about an inch under my tissue's root. this being too low and a lack of immediate project feels weird compared to the Comexiums Im used to. I almost need the fabric like this but a shorter wire, and less bra in my armpit. I wish the fabric turn from the top to the bottom was smoother- I almost sit pancaked in this.

First of all, this is a truly beautiful and (as far as I can tell from my limited time with it) well-constructed bra. I desperately wanted it to work for me!

Unfortunately, it's wrong in just about every way. I normally wear a 36J in Elomi and a 36HH-J in Panache, so I took the Breakout Bras advice and ordered this in 36JJ. It's massive all over, especially at the top of the cups. The gore doesn't tack, there's no support due to the size/shape, there's massive amounts of room all over the top and even a bit in the bottom of the cup, the straps are incredibly wide ... to the point of falling off my shoulder, the wires are a little narrow (and I'm definitely on the narrow side—I almost never find wires too narrow!)... It's almost comical how "off" this fits me.

On the plus side, it does fit right in my IMF for once. The band feels about right in length—a reasonably stretchy 36. The gore is *almost* skinny enough for me. I'd love to try it in a smaller cup size, but then the cups will probably be too narrow for me, so... maybe not. Argh.

tl;dr: if you're full on bottom, get your usual size. If you're full on bottom AND sort of between two cup sizes (especially if it's due to extreme projection), probably just get your usual smaller size. I'm still not positive this bra would work for my shape in a smaller cup size, but I have a feeling it would be a lot closer/easier to tell what the problem is if I'd gotten it in 36J.

    My shape:
FOB, close set (1 finger width), slightly inner-full, average to narrow root width, extremely projected/need a lot of immediate projection (8 inch difference between standing and leaning), slightly pendulous, average(?) root height.
