I've already had this bra for a bit now, but hadn't gotten around to reviewing and measuring it. The short summary is - usual Comexim fit, but really scratchy material..
The fabric on the inside and the band are the usual Comexim quality. What for me feels just not soft enough is the embroidery. It's uncomfortable for me both at the bottom of the cup and the upper corner, where the bra meets the arm. If you don't have particularly sensitive skin this might be okay for you, otherwise just pass on this one. Also, the fact of having the materials be unpleasant is not something that's happened ... to me before with other Comexim bras, including those that have embroidery or other decorations. It might be caused by the sparkly thread on this embroidery.
The bra is unpadded despite the fact that on the website it somehow looked to me like it'll be padded. The cup is made from two layers of fabric - stretchy on the inside..scratchy on the outside https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />) The outer fabric is a non stretch mesh, and there's a thin elastic closing off the cup.
From the point of view of design, it looks really pretty, especially with the decorations on the strap. The colour combination is also very nice in real life, and it creates a nice contrast with the grey and teal/yellow decorations. I also like that instead of a bow there's a little flower on the gore and no bows on the straps.
Otherwise, everything else about this bra is consistent Comexim fit and quality. The band and cups run true to size, and the cups are the usual fit for a 3-part half-cup. Also, at least in my experience, in the last 1-2 years I've found that Comexim bras have become much more consistent in sizing and fit. I also haven't had any issues with customizations not being done or being done incorrectly. I always write them in English in the comments box when ordering.

To start with a disclaimer, when I ordered this bra Joanna has warned me that it is designed to go up to size 80H, and beyond this size she cannot guarantee that the bra will be supportive enough. However, I'm very happy I ordered it regardless of this!

First off, the construction - The bra is a two-part cup with the cup continuing as a strap until above the shoulder. The strap is half adjustable, it has little stretch, and it continues on the band until the hooks and eyes. The cup is made of 2-way stretch lace, and the outer half of the cup is doubled with ... a thin layer of stretch beige fabric. The band is made of one layer of the same lace fabric, but it is true to size and moderately stretchy. I ordered it with the alteration wing height 11cm, which must have been done, since both the wing and the gore are very low.

I was at first surprised to see the bra categorised as a bralette, but after trying it on, this category makes a lot of sense. Unlike the other unlined Comexisms which I've tried (3-part half cups), this bra provides less lift and doesn't bring everything front and center. However, the bra is comfortable, very lightweight and provides a natural minimized rounded shape, so that's a success for me.

    quick review:

I ordered this on Nov 12 and have received today.

I expected a lot since this is my first ordering the deeper cups and found it still too small. I asked about 1cm deeper cups, but need 2cm especially in this model. Except being too small, it fits quite well and comfortably. It fits smaller than Ellena with deeper cups, so I think Ingrid definitely runs small and shallow.

Beautiful bra on you! Looks like you are really close to getting a good fit!

    • 2

I just got my Ingrid and it definitely runs small/shallow. :(

    • 1

My Ingrid plunge runs a little smaller as well, although I don't find it any shallower at the underwire than any other Comexim plunge.

    • 1

roxannelovesbras Thanks! I hope the next comexim would be the one ;) lol

@letstalkaboutbras Yes it does. It seems like there is less space at the wires comparing to elena. Sigh.

@lcl0706 Ingrid plunge is one of the older models, so I guess maybe the customizing (3hc) made it shallower. I wish comexim goes back to the older pattern.

Despite looking beautiful, this bra is sadly not a great fit..
It's the first time I order a soft 2-part half cup, but 3-part half cups (both padded and soft) are usually great fits on me. I also have the Bridget which although looks similar is actually very different from a fit perspective.
The fabric on the cups is a really beautiful tulle which feels sturdy and although it's not stretchy it has a bit of give. The cup is closed off at the top with a thick-ish elastic which is placed almost at the top of the cup, but there's still a little bit of fabric above it. When ... wearing the bra, this fabric does not lie fully flat and would be visible under a tight top. The embroidery is also not fully flat. Compared to the Safiya, the Bridget has flatter embroidery, and there's a thin transparent piece of plastic to close off the cup (again, lies flatter under clothes).
The cup construction makes it quite a different fit to the 3HC, first off because the cup is shallower, has less immediate projection (too shallow for me, sadly) and less space for inner fullness. However, the cup gives more lift and creates more "cakes on a plate" cleavage as opposed to the very round and not super lifted shape I get from the 3HC. The cup also seems to have a bit more space for outer fullness that other Comexims, especially around the area between the strap and the wire.
The straps on the Safyia feel wider set - they are almost 3cm wider compared to a comfortable 3HC (padded, same size, same alteration), and there is more fabric between the wire and the strap attachment (~1cm extra height). This makes the strap cut a bit into my arm, although I have wide shoulders. People with narrower shoulders night consider ordering this bra with a strap moved in alteration. However, when comparing the strap position to the Bridget, the straps are exactly the same on the Safiya. The Bridget is very comfortable though, but that's most probably due to the lower wire.
Another thing to notice is that the bottom part of the band tends to roll up under the wire at bottom of the cup. This also happens with the Bridget, and it's most probably because the elastic is sewn tighter to have some give when the band is extended. It's not uncomfortable in itself, just something to be aware of.
Regarding alterations, I found that the only alteration that I need is a short wing - usually I'm asking for 11cm, which is just right for my short roots. However, despite the wing measurement, I notice that on the Safiya the band does not extend all the way to the bottom of the wires. On the Bridget the bottom of the band is basically horizontal - this explains why despite the relatively low-ish wing height of the Safiya (11cm), the wire still pokes. If the band had extended all the way, the measurement would be 13.5cm instead.
Regarding size, I'd say that the cups are true to (Comexim) size. The band is made from two layers of stretchy mesh, it's overall quite stretchy and runs quite large - the 80 band is already too loose on me (comfortable underbust 36in), so I'd recommend to size down in the band.

It is such a gorgeous bra. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

    • 1

Thanks for the detailed review. I've thought about getting this bra, but have put it off because I wasn't sure how the cups would fit compared to the coco and bridget that I already own. Sorry it didn't fit you.

    • Thanks! @Wilderness You could also try ordering the Safyia as a 3HC, that should make the fit much more similar to the Coco/Bridget, although it wouldn't be returnable.

    • JulieCS yeah I was thinking that too. Do you find this bra minimizing?

    • @Wilderness My first impression was that it's slightly less minimising than the Bridget, because of the slightly shallower bottom half of the cup which gives a bit more of an apex. However, now I just tried both of them on again, and they look like they give very similar shapes from the side (basically indistinguishable under a tshirt). But because the Safyia has less centre space it tends to push the tissue a little bit more towards the sides. It's really not a huge difference, but compared side by side with the Bridget it gives a slightly wider look from the front.

    • 1

JulieCS thanks for the comparison. I had this one in my cart ready to order on the BF sale, then chickened out at the last second. I'll have to give it some more consideration. thanks again :)

@Wilderness Hope it fits you well if you decide to go for it! It's definitely a winner when it comes to looks :)

This bra is as beautiful in real life as it is in the pictures!

Regarding the construction, this is a 3-part unlined halfcup, with an additional piece of lace under the band, 7cm wide, to make the bra a sort of longline. This construction allows the bra to have a regular band, this way bypassing the issues people often experience with a longline.
The cups are made from one layer of transparent tulle, which looks delicate but is actually super sturdy. It has no stretch. The tulle under the band is a different material and it has 2-way stretch. The band is made from two layers of fabric, soft ... jersey and stretch tulle. The cups are closed with a thin strap of soft plastic, but I think it might be more for stability purposes, as the cup seems quite open on top to me. The colour is a flattering light taupe with elegant black accents. I ordered the bra with the alteration wing height 11cm, which seems to be the perfect fit for me.

The fit is the usual excellent Comexim 3-part half cup fit - very rounded, centered and uplifted, with lots of projection at the bottom of the cup. I was worried that the longline part would be uncomfortable on my somewhat larger stomach, but since it's stretchy it's actually very comfortable, I don't even notice it during wear. One thing that I did notice is that the embroidery tends to show under a thin shirt, so this bra won't work as a t-shirt bra. The band is a bit on the stretchy/loose side, I could have sized down as I'm already wearing it on the 2nd hook, so if between sizes I would suggest to size down.

I also ordered the matching shorts in size XL. They also run relatively large, the waist measured flat is 40cm and the material is stretchy. One thing I didn't expect is that the crotch is not lined with cotton but with the same jersey that's on the bra band. Overall, a beautiful set!

As an update after wearing it quite frequently in the past months, the band has stretched out quite quickly, at the moment it rides up on me. Especially the jersey material on the inside of the band looks quite sad and stretched out - this material is not too good quality, which is a pity because the lace still looks good.

This bra is listed under the category bralettes on Comexim's site, which I found a bit surprising at the beginning because it's underwired and the cups are padded. However, fit-wise this makes sense because the fit is much less structured than Comexim's usual bras. I think this is because of the very stretchy mesh that is placed on top of the cups, and to which the straps attach - this gives less lift from the straps - although we know most lift comes from the band https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Well, the band also feels on the stretchy side, so it also provides only a ... softer lift.
I was curious about the gore, if it will work in a larger size, and overall I'd say that it does. It doesn't feel flimsy and the wires don't feel like they sit differently because of it. However, I've only tried the bra on and haven't worn it for a longer time to be able to judge.
Regarding the construction, the cups are the Comexim plunge cut. There is this layer of soft stretchy mesh on top of the cups, which is only attached to them at the wire and the outside of the strap. The same mesh covers the band, which also has a second layer of a different but still stretchy mesh on the inside. The design is overall really beautiful and I like the velvety ribbon on the edge of the cups, as well as the mesh. I got it with the alteration of having a shorter wing under the arm (the wing height is 11cm), which is great for short roots.
About sizing, this bra runs smaller than usual for this size, so unfortunately it's too small for me. I also find the Comexim plunge cut to be too shallow for me, so I'll be listing the bra.

This bra is just GORGEOUS! I love the design and it looks lovely in real life, the pictures just don't do it justice. It's the first time I try a 2-part half cup from Comexim, so I can only compare the fit to the other 3-part half cups that I've tried before.

The fit of the bra is quite different from the 3HC, although it's also a good fit on me. It has quite a bit of immediate projection, although I'd say overall the bottom half of the cup is more shallow than the 3HC, and the cup is also more open on top. Overall this means the ... cup gives a more lifted shape and creates more "cakes on a plate" style cleavage compared to the more round, slightly more minimised shape of the 3HC. The shape also seems more projected in the middle of the cup that the rounded 3HC and this does translate into an overbust measurement of +1cm when wearing it compared to the 3HC.
The cup is also quite low, measuring 20cm cup height, whereas my bras usually measure at 21-22cm. The downside of the open top and low cup combination is that I don't feel like this bra gives a particularly secure fit - I wouldn't recommend running for the bus wearing it.
Another fit difference is that this bra has more fabric in the part of the cup between the wing and the strap. I wouldn't necessarily say that the straps are wider placed or that the wing is higher compared to the 3HC, but the effect of this extra fabric is similar - it slightly cuts into the arm. It hasn't been uncomfortable with wear but it's something to consider. I'm not sure if it's because of the cut, the model itself or the way the low wing alteration was done.

Regarding the size, this is my go-to Comexim size, alternating with the 75M. Although the Comexim bras I have ordered in the past were quite inconsistent especially in band size, the bras ordered in the last year have been consistent in both size and fit.
I ordered the bra with the alteration short wing (11cm). The wing is definitely shorter although it measures at 12cm and not 11cm. The wire is a bit shorter than the wire channel, there's an extra 1.5cm of empty space - could be the reason why there's a bit too much material near the strap.

The bra also comes with a detachable piece of ribbon that can be tied behind the neck. The fact that it's detachable is quite practical, as I think it might be time to retire the strappy trend. The lace on the edge of the cup is soft, but it's not completely flat under tight tops. Not an issue in winter though, but it does depend what you want to be wearing this with.

I also ordered the side tie bottoms, which run very small and are quite low coverage - definitely size up! Because the ribbon ties on the sides keeps sliding out, they are not so easy to get on. Otherwise, they are also very pretty, and together they make a beautiful set.

This bra is beautiful and is such a great fit for me! I love the very rounded shape it gives and the firm and supportive band. My experience with Comexim bands has been a mixed bag, in that some have been crazy tight and others super loose. This one is my favourite so far, as it's a true 36 band. The colour is a beautiful emerald green, and since at the point of writing the review I've already been wearing the bra quite frequently and macine washing it (in a delicate cycle), I can say that the colour and the material holds up really well.
The fit is ... the usual Comexim 3-part half cup, which has a lot of bottom projection but is not the most projected in the middle of the cup. I got this with the customization of wing of height 11cm, which is perfect for my short roots.
The only thing I could have done without is the lace on the edge of the cup. On the Comexim website this model comes with a black and silver lace, but since they probably ran out of it, they used two separate pieces of lace, one black and one beige and sewn them on top of each other. I preferred how this looks with the original silver lace from the point of view of design.

To start with a disclaimer, when I ordered this bra Anna from Comexim warned me that they only make this bra up to size 80E and after that they cannot guarantee that the bra will hold the breasts well. I got it in an 80L regardless, because I was curious to try a non-wired bra from Comexim.
To be honest I actually don't think the size or the support are issues, but rather my main problem with this bra is the band, which is made just from elastic, and on me it rolls up in the back. With a regular bra band, I imagine this bra could be ... okay also in larger sizes, as the cups do provide a bit of support and give a nice and natural shape.
Regarding the construction, the cups have a triangle shape, made from two layers of stretchy mesh. The lace on the side of the cups is not stretchy at all. The straps are thinner and stretchier than the usual Comexim straps. I like the red tassel on the gore and the red strap attachment in the back is very pretty as the material has a nice sheen.
Regarding the quality, there are a few loose seams, and since the band is just an elastic, none of the seams connecting to the band are covered.
The bra runs quite small compared to other Comexim bras, mostly because of the non-stretch lace going around the cup. I would recommend this to someone needing a 36FF-36G.
