I can't believe I found a strapless plunge that stays up! This is my first try at a bra sized strapless bikini top. I measure at a 30 band but I wear a 30 or 32 for swimsuits since my squishy skin from weight loss creates a lot of rolls around the band. I usually don't wear strapless bikini tops as I spent a large portion of my life in the ocean every day and they tend to not stay on when there are waves. This summer I have been at the pool wearing all sorts of swimsuits (thanks to marilynne who has sent me ...so many bikini tops!) and I have five or six different strap lines. This usually wouldn't bother me but I have a couple weddings coming up with strapless dresses I need to wear. So I went on the hunt for a strapless plunge because I have no tissue separation and swimsuit gores normally cause me a lot of pain. I didn't want to spend a lot and needed to get it quickly and I found this on eBay for $22 in the US and it arrived in a few days. The cups are moulded but they are shaped well and made to stay up. There is some gapping when I move but never enough for anything to slip out. I included a photo bending over to show this. I jumped around in it, imitated various swim strokes, and laid in it, and it stayed in place the whole time. I have gone out in the sun wearing it but haven't tried it swimming since I got it to fix tan lines. It's a little too separated for me but that's common with plunges that I have tried. The cups are much too wide but I expected that with a strapless swimsuit. The attachable strap is too wide and goes into my armpits, but I won't be using it. margesimpson I cannot confirm if it works for swimming, but I practiced some breast strokes and butterfly strokes and did jumping jacks in my bedroom and it stayed in place. I'll consider it a strapless win!

margesimpson I didn't either! I have not tried to find a regular strapless bra that would work for me because I don't think that will be an easy task and I don't have the mental energy. I just buy clothes that have straps lol

This top is GORGEOUS, but boy does it give me hell wearing it! I have flared ribs and a big tummy and it tends to flip upward. The cups, which have a vertical seam halfcup construction, are quite tall so there's a bit of gap at the top, which gets worse as my boobs settle into it and I have to find somewhere to re-scoop and swoop. The stupid back hook even popped open on me one time, while I was just sitting in the hot tub!
If I see it on sale I would probably replace it with a 34E. 32FF is my normal Cleo size.
Pretty fabric and solid construction, but the fit was off for me. The band was uncomfortably tight (and made unflattering back/side rolls, to boot) and the center gore tacked painfully hard. The cups fit well, but I didn't think they did anything particularly amazing for me. I might have considered trying the style in a sister size with a bigger band, but since the overall style was too "bra" for my taste, I think I'll pass. Back it goes!
Fits well, and overall looks very nice. I like the style and the colorway a lot! Please excuse the dorky bottoms I'm wearing in the photos... Back fastener is a swimsuit style non-adjustable clip, not rows of hooks/eyes.
Pretty comfortable and flattering for a bandeau, but I wish they'd included strap attachment points at the back so you could wear the straps crossback as well as halter. The band is firm enough to provide support, but the whole thing feels kind of heavy and makes me fear it would slip down — not saying it *would*, just that I'd be paranoid while wearing it. Also, the firmness of the band creates flesh rolls at my back/sides that I find unappealing, but a looser band would probably not feel very secure.
I think the band is a TINY bit too tight for me. Cups fit well. Nice cleavage. Base of the cups (underwire) digs into my ribs - my ribs angle outwards a bit so I wonder if this is why? Maybe this is also why the band feels too tight. Maybe going up a band and down a cup would improve the comfort?
This swimsuit is AWESOME! It has detachable straps and can be worn strapless...and it stays up! The clip on the back ensures that it is secure and doesn't fall off. It fits so much better than my old triangle top swimsuits. It actually supports my boobs instead of just covering my nipples.
