My first Bravissimo bra! I’m not sure about how it fit and I’m on the fence about keeping it or sending it back and trying another size or not bothering with it at all.
I know this colorway is pretty polarizing. I actually really like pansies, so I’m pretty fond of the print. I’m not really a white bra gal, but it’s cute! The pansies definitely make up for the white for me.
The bra itself is constructed very well. It has really nice firm fabric which reminds me of Ewa Michalak SF bras. The wires are firm but not uncomfortable. The straps are very stretchy and the ...band is pretty comfortable.
My main issue is the depth and the location of where the most depth is…it kind of reminds me of my Nessa bras because it doesn’t have as much immediate projection at the wire. It slopes up pretty dramatically and leaves me gaping at the bottom. I can fit one or two fingers between the wire and my IMF because of how the cups are constructed. My issue with my Nessa bras is that the slope was so dramatic like with Penny that my boobs settle at the apex and gap like how I just described. So that’s why I’m unsure if I’ll keep this one or not. This is another one I need to mull over before sending back. I’m curious if a 34JJ would fit better or worse, so I may send it back and try that size instead if it’s even available. Read more 149 more words
I almost did not give this bra a proper chance because I did not like it's print. At first I thought it's slightly too large because I had some gaping on top. The bra also looked a bit pointy. Both is now gone with my PMS boobs. So the perfect PMS bra for me? I really can't stand too much pressure on my boobs during that time, so thise bra is roomy and projected in top and bottom. The shape is very forward facing, uplifted and centered. It's a real confidence boost as it gives a slimming look from the front. However from the side, the boobs are ...quite round and projected, they stick out more than in other more "shallow" bras. I would say it's a green shape (check out brasIhate blog post) but it's rounded enough to not be elf-shoe.
The fabric is nice a bit thicker but not bulky, The lace has no stretch. The bra is very open on top, so do size down 1 cup like they recommend on the Bravissimo page. I also say it's fot friendly. I usually have quadboob in most of my 32K Bravissimo bras so I say this clearly runs big. The wires above J- cup are different. I don't notice that much, but I think it's the overall more projected centered shape they give instead of the more east - west shape of older bras. The band has normal stretch, it's tts for 32 and a good fit. Straps are thick and not too stretchy. I have sligh issue with them being a bit too wide - set and the cup fabric on the side comes a bit too high but it's bearable. I think this bra is as good as it gets? I certainly have seen far worse. Right so this bra along with the Bravissimo Allie is supposed to have "new and improved" wires in J+ cups. They're supposedly more narrow and longer than their other wires. I didn't find the wire to feel any longer or anything like that, it doesn't go very high up under the arm like a lot can do. It does have a high gore though.
The width is fine, it's average, it reminds me of some Panache or Cleo bras but it's a step up from the other bras I've tried before, like Alana.
Anyway so basic balconette style, has fully adjustable straps that are soft and stretchy. The band ...is TTS as usual, could need an extender to break it in but I could fasten it and breathe in it still lol.
The fit.. So I have a smaller boob and on that boob you can very noticeably see that it's very wrinkly. I get a smaller gap but still a gap on the other boob aswell.
It has really good projection however, not at the wire. I've included a picture where I can easily fit 2 fingers width between the underwire and my IMF, and it refuses to go up there. The gore does not tack on me.
When I first put it on I didn't find the shape too pointy but trying it again and taking pictures it definitely has a bit of an elf shoe shape, at least on my bigger boob. The smaller boob looks better shape from the side.
I also have a slight wrinkle in the side of the cup because there is extra fabric right near the wire, but I guess it's also because the wires are still slightly too wide for me.
Overall I guess this bra is not enough immediate projection and too tall in the cup, and probably 0.5-1 cup too big. But I will not try this in a smaller size. This is just going straight back https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />
The look of this bra.. It is ugly on the website and it is uglier in real life. It's probably the ugliest bra ever. The flower pattern looks great up close but, because they are on a stark white background, your eye first notice the white splotchy spaces that are in between the flowers, which looks super dumb! It's so so ugly. If there was no white and it was black or a different blue or maybe even a dark green or red, it would look better but even then, this pattern is just not..it. It's awful and I hate it.
The fabric is also meh. The Allie bra had that silky feeling like Elomi have a lot, but this one feels like a cheap scuba/swimsuit material, it's slightly scratchy even, not silky soft at all. It's also double lined, with a sort of mesh material on the inside, even the lace part is lined.
Big no on this one from me.
Also, this bra is definitely not the same bra that is already listed here, as "Penny Bra (LN449)" ? this has a full band, so different construction. I don't know why they didn't just change the name of this to something new when it's not even the same bra. Read more 432 more words
Nice bra. I wish the wings and band we're taller but that's ok. Wires fit wide enough for my slightly wide roots, without then being too deep at the apex. The cup fabric is not scratchy, but it is firm, seams are strong. This may become more "floppy" with wash/wear.
If you have breasts low set on the rib cage, the straps might not be long enough. I could extend them maybe 2 more inches, but with most bras I have much more room to extend the straps, so these are shorter than average.
