Bad fit for me; band too big & cups too small. (I'm learning, though!) I can't say for certain since this is the wrong size but it doesn't seem like a comfortable bra. The underwires JAB me in the sternum; in a seriously painful way that even my other too small bras do not. The band is also uncomfortable; too thin & flimsy elastic that cuts in. Add in mumsy styling & a high price tag and I can't say I'm tempted to look for a Wacoal in the correct size.
This bra is the perfect minimizer. It's great under t-shirts, and when you don't want to have any cleavage. The straps are thick, a feature which gives it amazing support but which makes it difficult to wear a shirt with thin straps and not have the bra straps show. Also, the underwire in the middle of the front goes up pretty high, so you can't have any low cut shirts.
Overall, I loved this bra so much that I bought another in a different color. I wear it all the time, including when I'm just sitting around at home. When I started wearing it, people mentioned that I looked ...smaller/like I had lost weight. The bra itself looks kind of granny-ish (thus my rate of "meh" on Bra Appearance), and since I'm young I guess that bothered me at first, but it's so comfortable that now I don't even care!
One more thing is that since it's not padded, sometimes I have a tendency to "poke out" when it's cold out, which is just something that happens with all unpadded bras. Read more 72 more words
So I'll start with the fact that I bought this online using the website's measuring technique. That didn't work out so well and the bra cups are way too small. Since then I have been professionally fitted at 38H in Wacoal so please take this review with that in mind. The bra is really pretty, super supportive, has comfortable straps which are spaced kind of wide which I really liked and the keyhole design of the gore is suprisingly cute. I got the feeling that if the cups had been the correct size that the front would have tacked perfectly even though my breasts are set really closely together. If the bra were available in my newly discovered correct size I would purchase this again.
This bra is my favourite ATM. It fits perfectly, looks really good on and is comfortable.
It holds up well all day and I never have to readjust it. I have it in a very pretty coral and white colour as well as a black and white. I get lots of compliments on my posture when I have this on. It makes me feel really confident. This does maje my boobs look slightly pointy as opposed to a perfectly round shape but I think it still looks stunning. For now, this is my HG bra.
This bra is decent, but doesn't really suit the shape of my breasts, which are not particularly full on the bottom. As a result, it wrinkles when I wear it (particularly on my right breast, which is smaller than my left).
I put it on and my first thought was "Wow!" Super comfortble, very supportive, and great looking. Fit perfectly right out of the box with hardly any adjusting or squirming. Gives a rounded shape, but not shapeless like molded bras. The lace is smooth enough that I can still wear it under most T-shirts without showing through. There are so many little details that I just love. The keyhole front is flexible while still being supportive. I love that they continued the lace around the back, and the high placement where the straps join the back smooths any bulges. The ...cups aren't padded at all, just lined with a thin mesh, but there is an outer sling that is very supportive. In larger sizes it looks a little bit more like a balconette style, so the cleavage is more of an uplifted type than "kissing," which is by all means fine with me. I love the shape this bra gives me under clothes, and on its own it's very attractive as well.
Edit: After wearing this bra for a few weeks, I'm not thrilled with how it fits anymore. I think it has stretched out a little bit, and now it gives me a more natural, less supported, east-west shape that's not as supportive as it was when new. I think the problem is that it's too big in the band so it's riding up a little and tilting forward. It's now peeking up through my armholes where it didn't before. It's still a gorgeous style (in fact, probably the best looking bra I've seen in recent memory), but unfortunately doesn't come in a 30 band. I probably should have predicted my love affair with this bra wouldn't last long. Read more 197 more words
I really love this bra for an everyday basic. I have it in nude and it is so comfortable, I wear it under everything. The cups are contoured but just enough and they are lined enough to provide good nipple coverage. The center of the cups is cut low enough that I can wear it under my cute v-necks and not have any bra peeking through. My favorite thing though is that this bra brings my far-apart-boobies close enough to center that it gives me nice cleavage without having to add any padding or pushing. Love this bra!
My only cons: - I wish the straps were a bit narrower. They're a tad wide for my taste. - I wish the straps were convertible. But that's just because I'd prefer to have one bra do everything, as opposed to 5 bras with their own speciality. I'm just a tight wad that way.
Love the smoothness of contour cups for hiding headlights & uneven breast size and no-show under clothing. Pretty embroidered grosgrain ribbon underband keeps it from being too boring. Good support, but could use more lift. Could also use 1/2 cup larger to prevent the suggestion of quadraboob on larger side. Very comfortable.
Love the smoothing of contour cups - disguises headlights & evens out size discrepancies, works under any fabric. Lace is pretty & keeps bra from being too boring but doesn't show through clothing. Good support, but could lift better. Being between cup sizes, I could use a half cup bigger to prevent suggestion of quadraboob on bigger side, but would not want a whole cup larger. Very comfortable. Straps curl in wash but are otherwise fine.
This is a very well constructed molded bra that has wonderfully padded straps...unfortunately after washing once, the cups shrank a bit and no longer fit. Sad, since it was around $60 new.
The T-shirt type bra (it has seams, but wears undetected under thin shirts) feels well made and the band is true to size, but I just didn't pay enough attention to how my boobs fit into the cups. The center gore is squished outwards slightly due to breast tissue escaping the cups from the center (or out the sides if I pull them back toward my arms).
The bra itself has underwires that do NOT poke me in ...my underarms and the straps do NOT try to fall off of my shoulders (big thing for me). The shape of the bra gives me a rather flattened, but natural shape. I think this bra borders on being a minimizer, but it could just be because the cups don't fit right on me. The fit is excellent in everything except the cups, and it is very comfortable...just doesn't fit right though.
Overall, I would love it if the Wacoal bra came in my size--unfortunately, it only goes up to a DDD and I think I would need about two cup sizes bigger, maybe only one. Also, I wish that bra manufacturers would stop it with the flower prints on bras. Just my two cents. Read more 123 more words
It almost fits me, but not quite. The band is way too big (I measure 29.5" around), and the bra almost gets all of my boobs. In fact, most of the time it does, except when I reach up, I get a very slight quadraboob. I would recommend this bra to anyone with slightly smaller boobs. The band is pretty stiff, so despite it being too big, it's not bad.
This bra does not fit me at all, but I needed a strapless. The band is too big. The cups are too small, with my breast tissue escaping all over the place. Over the top, and backs. The gore (or lack there of) doesn't lay flat in the front either.
I was fitted into this bra at Nordstroms. I was wearing a 34D or even sometimes a 36B. So the idea of 32DDD was strange at the time. Now I've done some research and I realize you shouldn't be adding 4 or 5 inches to your underbust measurement. So anyway, I like this bra but I think the wires are too wide for me. I know they are supposed to fully enclose your breast tissue, but I think this goes too far an the sides and it ends up hurting me. I thought at first I just needed to wear the bigger band sizes ( i measure 28.5 - 29" underbust) but now I have other 32 and 30 band sizes that are fine(sort of, see future reviews!). So I have come to the conclusion that the cups are too wide for me. Good quality though, it should work for someone with wider breasts.
Too small. I had a professional fitting and this is what they sold me. It might have fit a few months ago but not since I've been "gathering" breast tissue. Now the cups are too small and the band feels a tiny bit too large. It kid of pokes under the arm but mostly it feels too high.
Not my usual size, but bought it because I was desperate for a bra to wear under a particular dress and didn't have time to mail order. I know I shouldn't have, and will be returning it. It's a size too large in the band and 1-2 sizes too small in the cups, which results in a bubble boob kind of look while not being particularly comfortable.
This is a lightly molded cup style, with lace on the side of the band. The band is very stretchy. The cups are too narrow, so my breast tissue does not fit into the bottom of the cup. Because the band is so stretchy, my tissue escapes.
Because it's a cut-and-sew bra (three-part cup), not a T-shirt bra, this bra is great at preventing jiggling and keeping the girls front and center. I have a short waist, but the side seam boning doesn't poke me. (It can, however, get a little stiff and uncomfortable by the end of the day.)
When I bought it, the cups were ever so slightly hollow at the top and the band was too loose. (I really needed a skintone bra at the time, and the fit on this one is comfortable, even though it isn't perfect.) The line of the top of the cup showed through shirts at times.
That being said, it is extremely comfortable. The wire doesn't poke, the tag doesn't itch, the straps don't cut in, and the fabric is deliciously soft. The outer covering of the cups is a satiny knit that needs some care, though; mine (6 months old, worn frequently) is showing some very slight pilling in ...high-wear areas and a few small snags in the fabric.
The way the back strap is constructed makes it want to crumple up on me; the edges flip over and the main fabric gets small lengthwise wrinkles if I don't take the time to smooth it out. Once smoothed, it stays that way.
It has stretched out some, but not too badly. Since it isn't very snug on me, that may not speak to it's durability, however...
I wouldn't call it a luxury bra exactly, but it is a very nice one. Plain, very functional, and doesn't make light silky shirts ride up. It does stick a bit to some of my clingier t-shirts, but that's the cut of the shirts more than anything else. Read more 123 more words
If the pictures are yours, it definitely looks like you could go down a band size or two and go up some cup sizes. The underwire seems to be digging into your breasts tissues on the side and the band is riding up.
But I guess you already know that. ^^
Littleowl: Yep, I know. It's so loose it's not uncomfortable *rolls eyes* but I fall out the bottom every time I go to take my shirt off and I can pull the band down to my waist without much effort. I'm in the process of working out my actual size; they lady at Nordstroms that sold me this one didn't know what she was doing. :/
There is at least one cup size of boob falling out the side, maybe two. I got some smaller bands from Figleaves, but that style's cups were really oddly shaped, which made it hard to guess how many sizes up I need to go-- I'm waiting for them to send me another bra to try out. I think I'm somewhere between a 30D and 32DD, properly. I measure 30, but that can be a bit pinchy if the bra has stouter elastic.
Did you hand wash the bra, or did you wash it in a machine?
