A very pretty and luxurious bra I have been sent to review. The overall feel is great and it has been made with great attention to details, but the cups run very large - I'd say a 1 1/2 size big.
Curious, I had read that the other colourways ran small, but mine is red, and I too thought it was at least half a cup big. It is my only unpadded bra, so that could be the issue.
/squints at measurements
8.3 depth, 5.5 cup width...
I usually take a UK 32FF, and I've found that between 5 and 5.5" cups, I need between 10" and 10.5"... :|a
I guess I would expect a 32F to be ~9 inches, so to my expectations an 8" 30FF seems small?
I don't in the least doubt your experiences (and one of the people who calls this bra small is comparing its cups to Empreinte, which is absurdly deep -- their 30F is 30:6 but fits my effectively-30:9 boobs almost perfectly), but I'm still trying to figure out how these numbers correspond to a bra fitting me or being too big/small. It SEEMS like such simple math, and yet........
I agree, an 8.3" cup, depth is usually too small on me, I need 8.9 ish and I typically wear a 30E..
I will re-measure this once I get home, but I am pretty sure I got it right.
Yeah I was going to comment the same thing - 8.3" is pretty small for a 30FF depth.
Like I'm sure the bra feels big anyway, but something doesn't add up :|a if it's not the measurement, maybe it's a shape problem.
Apparently I was part of a minority in finding the cups on 32FF - Pour Moi » Amour Underwired Non Padded Bra (1502) to be small, and when I looked at the numbers there it's definitely a shape problem. My boobs not getting enough projection, hitting the "wall", and quadding out the top without getting to take advantage of the space at the bottom of the cup.
rainbrasspetals this is a very helpful comment tbh, I never thought about it like that.
It was too big on me too! I got a 30dd. I usually wear 30dd or e and this is enormous!
Review attached https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I've since gone up a cup size and I love this style so much that I have replaced this in a 30G, the fit comments all remain the same. Will add measurements for the 30G when I can!
This used to fit like a dream, but unfortunately after weight gain causing a change in breast shape/density it no longer works for me. I used to call it my boob-job bra, as it gave such an incredibly rounded and uplifted shape, now I just tend to spill out over the top https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
First, let me say what's good about this bra: it's unusual. The cup separation is small, and the gore low: very good for close-set breasts. The cups are pretty. Now, the bad: it's .wrong for my full on bottom shape. I get a lot of wrinkles in the top. However, the top elastic also cuts into my flesh. And I don't think it's supporting me very well. In the pics, I also see wrinkles under the arms...maybe b/c I was wearing an extender. It looks good on the models, but looks terrible on me. Oh well, another failed experiment.
Cleavage anyone? I'm FOB, but for even fullness, this would probably work. Also, the gore is pretty narrow, and you can make it more narrow by adding an extender on the bottom front.
Scantilly All Wrapped Up Plunge Bra 30FF (1) Top edges of cups tilt outward (2) Straps dig in at front (3) Three rows of hooks and eyes, whereas 30F has two rows (4) High enough on the sides, under the arms, to contain side tissue and/or Tail of Spence (5) If the cups didn’t tilt out and the straps dig in uncomfortably in front, I would consider this my best fit in the All Wrapped Up bra. I like the higher coverage under the arms, which minimizes armpit bulge better than the 30F. I really enjoy the smoother feeling of 3 rows of hooks and eyes, too. I don’t have bulges on my back in this size, the 30F, or 30E, but I believe the bra band itself is less visible in back when it’s 3 rows deep, rather than 2 rows deep. (6) The cups are higher coverage than the 30F cups, but I wouldn’t mind much if only the cups weren’t so high where they attach to the straps.
Curious, I had read that the other colourways ran small, but mine is red, and I too thought it was at least half a cup big. It is my only unpadded bra, so that could be the issue.
