As a shallow, wide set lady I often appear smaller than I am. I love this balconette because it does contain everything and brings them front and center where they belong. This bra has 2 pieces of side boning on the sides, which I prefer. The straps are too far apart, and the gore could be narrowed, however, I find I can move the wires down to a more comfortable position. Definitely a keeper.

I ordered this after trying the 30E and finding that I couldn't fill out the top of the cups. Unfortunately it was the same story with this bra; the shape just doesn't work for my shallow breasts. I needed it taken in at one point in the front to be flatter if it had any hope of fitting me. I also found that this size was painful to wear; the center gore pressed very hard into my sternum. Beautiful bra, well made, gorgeous purple colour, but not for shallow breasts.

  3. Charlotte Padded Bra (6901)

This bra is gorgeous! The seams are a bit thick though, and will show under thin fabric. The wings are quite tall, which I love, personally. But if you often have issues with tall wings then this might not work for you. The cups are very shallow, which is wonderful for my equally shallow, FoB breasts not sure how it would work on someone with a different shape.

This bra is beautiful and the wires aren't too wide which is a problem I often encounter. Even though this was previously owned, the band was not stretched out at all and ddoesn't cause back bulge. The cups are a bit too big but this is unnoticeable under clothing. Unfortunately the center digs into my sternum and is quite painful. For now I will use a little padding or alter the wires to fix this issue.

The Petal Pink colourway has two sets of straps, and as they're detachable, can be worn multiway.

Band runs like a 28", cups are neither particularly shallow, nor deep. I don't find them to run a cup size small, as is often said from Parfait. Only fit issues are slight gaping near the center gore, and the wide set straps.

  7. Charlotte Padded Bra (6901)

Update: This has become my most-worn bra! It's so comfortable and the fit is just right. I hope Parfait will introduce many more bras with this style.

    Original:
I have both the Charlotte Balconette and the Charlotte Padded underwire bra. They are both in size 30DD. The balconette is too small on me but I love the style and the peach/black colors, so I purchased this model. It fits and it has excellent side support and great tall sides. My husband absolutely loves the balconette model, but this one barely gets a yawn. I pointed out to him that it's styled like that "Roaring 20's looking bra" he loves so much, but he just shrugged. He says it looks like an ordinary, everyday support bra to him. Oh well - I bought this for myself anyways. It wears under just about everything and it gives better lift and shaping than most "t-shirt" type bras.

This bra is beautiful - unusual, vintage-looking, and elegant. Unfortunately it's an awkward fit for me. It's a good bra for showing off what I have of cleavage, but the tops of the cups are too closed for my jiggly tissue.

  9. Fiona Balconet Molded Padded Bra (2701)

On me this winds up being a full cup bra rather than a usual balconette shape. The cups are very, very tall. They don't feel too deep, or too wide, they just come up really high on my very short torso. The tall sides keep tissue in the cups, which is great, but the straps don't adjust short enough for me. I'll have to alter them, somehow. They are made of a rubbery type of material that has wedges in it. The wedges are great for keeping the straps from slipping and losing the right length, but since the straps don't adjust ... short enough the wedged part just adds extra bulk on my frame. Fiona is a sturdy, comfortable bra. I thought the cups would be more "half-cups"; like Ewa Michalak styles. Actually, Fiona is quite similar to Cleo Juna, but Fiona has much taller sides. It's a tall-cupped t-shirt bra with stretchy elegant lace on the cups. Like all Parfaits, it seriously has to be "broken in" and it doesn't start to feel quite right until it's been worn and washed several times. The bra is a perfectly suitable everyday bra and it costs much less than the European brands I love so much. I won't be re-purchasing this particular model though.

After a few wears, I realized that my breasts were not filling out the cup, even though it was a smaller numbered cup from what I'm used to. It had the same measurements as my 30E - Parfait By Affinitas ยป Leslie Contour Bra (6501). My shallow breasts just couldn't make it work in a molded full-cup style. I guess I should stick with demis and half-cups.

It's lovely, just not the right shape for me. I think it's an "orange in a glass" type of thing going on despite other parfaits working for me. It's adorable and has great silky fabric but just not a good shape for someone who's really shallow

This is a pretty bra and I like the retro look but the padding is thicker than I care for. The cups were just a little bit small and the band was too loose. I also found that the seams were noticeable under clothing.

Very comfy bra and fits great! I have it in both red and peach.

It runs somewhat tight in the band. I normally wear 28E, and a 30DD in this bra fits well.

I have a short torso so the bra is just too tall. The band is snug, maybe even too snug. The wires are too wide for my chest though. Maybe the balconette version will be better.

The band fits great. The underwire does not hurt which is usually a problem for me because I have no padding around my ribcage. It gives a great shape when I am standing, but some gapping occurs when I slouch. The straps should be kept far apart for the cup to fit better. I do think that a 30E might of fit better, so I may have to try it in the future. Still, I'm keeping this bra because it's comfy!

I feel like I got a pre-used bra or something, because the 30 band of the Jeanie was bigger on me than the Figleaves lace bras I own (though the lace may keep them from stretching as much). I was recommended to try Parfait because my underbust is 26" and Parfait is supposedly tighter than most 30's. Also I heard the cups ran small and since I wear a 28DD in Cleo I tried a 30DD in Jeanie -- way too big! I could probably have fit the 30D, but I didn't want to risk having to pay more return shipping, so I just returned the bra and bought a different "plain" bra for under light or sheer clothing. I did like the look of the Jeanie, though, considering it's a plain, more functional, bra.

I had heard that Parfait bras run small, but I didn't find that the case with me and this particular model. Though I was expecting the band to fit more tightly than my Freya 28's and it doesn't. But it is still wearable for me. The bigger problem is that the cups are much bigger than I expected. I wear a 28DD in Cleo and was advised to just go up a band size (since 30 is currently the smallest bandsize carried by Parfait) and maybe even go up a cup size. I ordered a 30DD and it was way too big for ... me. I got the bra in nude so I could wear it under light and sheer clothing (which I have a lot of). I like the little bow with a metal heart at the gore, though other than that it's a pretty plain and utilitarian bra. I measured the band against my year old "Just Peachy" 30 bra from Figleaves and the band of the Parfait was *much* longer than the "Just Peachy." I had to return the Parfait bra and probably cannot wear their brand at all.
