The cups ran about 1/2 size large on this bra. The band seemed wide too...I laid it next to my other 30 band Parfait Affinitas bras and the band is longer. The cups are also larger than the 30Es (aka 30DDD) by PbyA that I own! I exchanged it for the Casey style instead and it fits much truer to size.
The cups are too thick on the edge, so it doesn't give the smoothest silhouette. The cups are also very rigid, so they dont adapt well to your shape. As a teardrop, this causes a little gapping for me, but if I scoop well, then its ok. A 28 would be better, but I dont think it comes in 28s. Generally, it is VERY supportive, pretty comfortable and flattering.
The only thing that works for me in this bra is the 30 band, which feels true to size. My estimated size here and on abrathatfits is 30DD/E.
The cup shape, material and style are not made for small, rather empty, soft breasts without any upper breast fullness to fill them out. This style definitely requires more projection than I have. The material feels like it would soften up nicely with a wash or two. The mesh cups are unpadded and have an additional inner side sling for support, but with such soft breast tissue, this only creates more awkwardness to the shape.
The gore of this bra made ...it completely unwearable for me (even if the cups fit right), The underwires dig into my sternum painfully (making me feel bruised)...more than any other bra I've ever tried on. Even cotton balls between my skin and the wires didn't make it tolerable.
Update: I pulled the wires so they are slightly wider, which took away the pain at the sternum. Although this will never be a bra I can really wear, I have also realized it does something most bras I've worn in the past don't. It pulls in and supports the breast tissue (that tends to bulge) that is near my armpits. Read more 104 more words
I also think it's a PMS bra for me; without water retention, my boobs don't feel like they're filling up the inside of the top of the cup. They look like they do, but feeling them doesn't return much more information due to the lining/padding.
I got this because it's supposedly a more wearable Deco for even shapes. I might try a 30D but with just trying this one on, it is still too open on top for me. The fabric is nice a sturdy and I really want to find another nude bra, but the Casey and I are not working like I wanted them to.
Unfortunately this bra doesn't fit me. I'm still trying to find a bra that fits. This bra is pretty much big all over, except the very top of it. There's room where the cup meets the lace, as well as at the bottom. The gore digs into my chest. The straps are too far apart. The color of this bra is like a pinkish brownish beige.
I am 26", 33"...round, even, wide shoulders, very close-set but wide boobs.
The material is very nice and the cups are sturdy yet soft and flexible. I wish the cups had less coverage because it's pretty useless for my shape. Not low enough for low-cut tops. I heard the band runs tight in this brand and it's not terrible, but not tight enough for me to wear it on the regular. I like to sleep in this bra.
Seems to fit better now than it did when I first bought it, I think because more tissue moved into my boobs to hold the band down, as it was sliding up when I first got it. But it still isn't as supportive and parallel to the floor as I would prefer. A comfy bra though! No pain. I would recommend for real 30DD wearers and maybe real 28E wearers. But not 27" or below.
Of all the bras that arrived, this seems to fit the best.
There is a slight float at the top of the gore, and I always (always!) seem to want a tighter band, but other than that it seems good. It is comfortable, but I wonder if my right breast will end up migrating out of the cup due to my scoliosis (it's pretty bad, as you can see in the photos...this is why I never, ever allow photos to be taken of me despite being much more covered up! Ha!). This is the only reason I rate the comfort as 'good' instead of excellent. Does anyone else ...have this problem?
The tops of the cups gap just a little bit, but it's a pretty small amount. I think my breasts are shallow, so that's something I'm accustomed to, however wrong it is. That said, they do seem to fit better (as does everything else) on the second set of hooks. Though...if you look at the side view (I've lightened these) there do seem to be some weird angled horizontal stretches! What is that?
The straps adjust as much as I'll probably ever need them to.
It is a beautiful bra, and seems very well-made (like my Casey). The band is nice and firm, which I definitely appreciate.
I got this bra in red. It is very pretty and well-constructed. I definitely prefer this look to the Charlotte balconette, but that's just me.
The band on this bra is very firm and feels more like a 28. This is good for me, but others may want to size up in the band. I also followed the advice left by other reviewers and sized up in the cups (the early version of the red Charlotte runs small). I was worried that they would be too big, but they were fine. It might not be good for full on top shapes because it's not very open at the top. I have fairly wide roots, and this bra works well for them. The straps are very wide-set for me. They rub at my armpits, which can be uncomfortable. Overall, though, I'm pretty happy with it.
EDIT: Boobs have grown. Now I'm quadboobing a little.
This bra is clearly one size too small. (the size 30E fits me nearly perfectly) If I was FOB, with short roots, I think I'd like the smaller fit, but because I'm more even, with tall roots, the bra cuts into my root, instead of just giving me better cleavage.
Despite the size issue, I will keep this as a back up bra, because it is comfortable.
I believe bra was designed for FOT breasts, so it does not suit me. The wires are also seemingly very wide, though relatively easy to bend.
The material is very soft; similar to microfiber. It is very cute and I wish it could work for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This is a pretty bra. It fits nicely everywhere but the center gore. The center gore tends to dig in at the top after a couple hours. The bra band is fairly tight so I used an extender when I was breaking it in.The fabric doesn't really have much give, which is fine. I do like the color and the embroidery. It gives a nice breast shape, but looks best under thicker or looser tops due to the embroidery.
Fabric is soft, band is firm, straps are not too wide set, cups have bottom projection, however, my boobs must not be circular as I have major gappage at the top of the cups.
