The Tango II Balconette is the one bra by Panache that fits me reasonably well.
It has a rounded out bottom that works ok with my bottom-heavy shape. The upper cup is relatively straight, suitable for my "ski-jump" shape in the upper part of the breasts. The wires are wide and high, containing all the breasttissue I have under my arms quite well.
I find it comfortable to wear, it is a stable and well constructed bra for my size and it gives me a nice shape. I have this bra in several colours; mainly though bc I love to match the colours of my underwear to my ...outfit and the seasonal colours of the Tango are relatively cheap to find on ebay.co.uk.
The main gripe I have with it that it is too shallow for me. To get the same cupdepth, I have to go up in cupsize compared to my beloved, deeper-cut Elomi bras. The bottom cup is too small for the bottom half of my breasts, thus I get a funny squarish shape when the bra fits volume-wise. I need to size up a cup and thus get loose fabric in the upper cup. I put up with it because it cannot be seen under a shirt, plus it gives me extra room for shark week. Read more 112 more words
The wires are all up in my armpits. Sheesh. I know my roots are high on my chest, but damn. Definitely not enough immediate projection for me either. Of course, the cups are overall too small for me. This is certainly not my size. The construction is pretty rigid, though, so I will give it that. If I could find the right size, then it might work. I guess I'll order those and see. The fabric is certainly not the softest I've felt, sensory issues beware, but it makes sense with the amount of structure it has. The lace trim on the band also doesn't go all the way around. It awkwardly stops midway under the cups. I didn't notice it on this one initially, but I went back to check the pictures after I noticed it on the black colorway. Sure enough, same thing here.
Has J-hooks. That's pretty cool for the narrow shoulder havers. High roots and narrow shoulders, get a buddy to help you adjust the straps because otherwise, it's gonna be a lot of taking it off and putting it back on. I can't praise this material enough. I'm trying SO HARD to find the right size in this bra. You'll see when I finish uploading all the data from all the sizes I ordered. Oh boy. It's so soft. The stretch fabric on the top of the cups is so cute. The double bagged band is insanely comfortable. But the wires are so damn high (on the edge and ...at the gore) & too wide for me. The cups also aren't deep enough for the amount of projection I have, but I want it to work so badly. I'm at the point where I might just keep the biggest one I can find and alter it. Maybe I should just see if I can find this fabric on my own. I don't know. Anyway, it's a favorite for comfort. I just wish the frame worked for me. Edit: Turns out none of the sizes in this model work for me. Bummer. Read more 91 more words
It was too high and dug into my sternum as well.I see you tried the Curvy Kate Daily Boost, that's one I have considered, how did you find the center gore to compare to that one?
I loved this bra until I lost weight. It was comfortable for all day wear and very supportive. The only issue I had was that the straps were too wide and would fall off my narrow shoulders.
Pokes in the armpit after wearing it for long periods but otherwise I love it It hasn't stretched very much over the year I've had it and worn it regularly I've only had to tighten it by one clasp so far.
