Center gore tacks, but is uncomfortable. If I were to keep it, it would need to be bent. I can't quite fill the cups due to the band being way too loose. The straps are only partly adjustable, but that wasn't a big issue for me.
Colorway is beautiful, great details, looks fabulous, but the fit is off on me. I shouldn't have listened when people said that Miss Mandalay runs small in the band, I think they are fairly standard, TBH.
I got the 32H, after reviews said you should size up in this one. I think I could've gotten a 30HH, but I'm happy anyway. A 32GG (probably my 'normal,' size) would've most likely been too small. This is very comfortable. I love molded bras that are non-padded. There is slight gaping on the left cup, but fits the right side perfectly. The gore doesn't stay flat, but that's because I have some pigeon chest features, and I believe it otherwise would lie flat. This is my best fitting bra so far. My only complaints are that the quality is definitely not as high as some bigger brands (CK, Freya, Affinitas, Fauve, EM, Etc). There are a 2 threads that I had to cut that were hanging from the band. I'm also not a fan of the thin-ness of the straps. I think it's a cute bra though, would do well under t-shirts or anything.
Quite nice bra, the band was perfect for 73cm under the bust. Cups were tiny bit too small and very tight on the top of the cups.. The top of the cups is covered with lovely velvet ribbon. The shape and lift is similar to CK unpadded bras - I don't like it,
I bought this one in yellow. In person, the fabric is a bit stiffer than the non-padded underwired bras that I'm used to, but it is still quite nice and the stiffer fabric helps retain a nice shape as the fabric is semi-sheer. I'd read that this bra runs small in the band and cup and I usually wear a 32H, so I bought a 34GG and 34H from Bravissimo. I tried on the 34H on first and I'm glad I went for the 34 band. The fabric is so stiff that a 32 would have been quite uncomfortable, even though it would have fit. My breasts are very full on top, so sometimes I have issues with this kind of style. This bra fits my right breast quite well, but cuts in slightly on my larger left breast. It does give a good shape, though slightly splayed. The underwires do come up high under the arm, though, and I'm 5'5"! I think anyone with a very short torso will have issues with the underwires.
Doesn't fit well at all! Such a pity too, it's very cute. The cups are too narrow for me, so the wires dig in on the sides, the ribbon at the top of the cup cuts into my breast, and my breasts trying to "escape" into the middle create a really unflattering wrinkling in the cup.
I have the same fit problems with Freya bras, so if you like Freya this might be a great choice for you!
The bra has a fairly firm band, my measurement is 28.5" and it fits snug and comfortably. It seems well-made too, no snags or loose threads.
I only discovered how a bra should really fit in February 2012. I bought this bra in June. Since my expensive Simone Perele and Chantelle 30Es from Nordstrom were too loose on the first hooks less than two months after purchase, I started buying 28Fs online. I only discovered last month that some 28 bands are a good middle ground for me between the extremely firm 28 bands of my Panache Andorra Full Cup and my Miss Mandalay Paris and the loose 30 bands of my early Nordstrom buys.
This bra has what I believe is a quite firm 28 band. I kept thinking it might stretch out, but it hasn't, though I've worn it seven or eight times. Now that I have some bras whose bands are firm but not painfully tight, I just don't want to wear this one anymore. I love the hot pink color, the Art Deco lines, and the sexy sheer and semisheer materials. But I'll get a 30E in the Miss Mandalay Paris next time.
Red "Paris Moulin" version with sheer cheetah print bows.
Band fits somewhat better than 30G (http://bra.pe/R4o/) although it can be fastened on the final hook and I can still take a deep breath so I believe it is looser than necessary for proper support. The G-cup fits and covers quite nicely but the wing height is far too tall and cuts into underneath my arm uncomfortably. This measures 10cm exact where the wing is sewn. Too bad ASOS doesn't carry a 30GG because I would likely have exchanged for and kept that.
30G: * band very tight but could use an extender for first few months while it stretches * balcony style/cup size appears to 'cut in' to shape, less nice overall shape under a shirt
32G: * band too big: firm yet wearable on final hook * balcony style/cup appears with proper coverage under shirt
Judging by the pictures, I think this bikini top is the same cut as the Electric Zebra Halter Bikini top (http://bratabase.com/browse/miss-mandalay/electric-zebra-halter-bikini-top/). I've read a lot of reviews saying to go up a cup size in the Zebra top, so I did the same with this one. This size fit me well, so I would recommend going up a cup size if you want to try this one out.
I really like the colour and pattern on this bikini since it's very bright. I think it gives an ok shape, not much uplift, but still rounded. I thought my profile looked a bit weird at first, but I realized it's because the centre seam is a bit thick, so there's a raised line down each cup.
The only reason I sent this back is because the bottoms don't have a lot of coverage (half a bum cheek each was showing on each side!).
Light weight, comfy material, beautiful cheetah print pattern. HEARTBROKEN! This bra is just about 1 cup too small and is not made any larger than a G. This is the exact same problem I have often with Masquerade (Panache) bras only going up to a "small" G cup. It's obvious there is spillage (see photos) although the bra line doesn't "cut into breast tissue" persay. This has to be due to the "half cup" style because it also runs a bit short under the arms and has a bit of boob spillage in the underarm area as well. Very disappointed in the way the sizing runs. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I will still look forward to trying more lightly padded Miss Mandalay in the future, hopefully another cut/style combo will fit better.
Purchased & Returned July 2011. Measured unstretched immediately before wearing for Bratabase.
I had to reduce the distance between cups, wires are very stiff and uncomortable Edit: I stretched the wires so they are now 15cm wide and now they fit ok.
