    The cotton band on this bra is very comfy and soft. The lace feels great too. It has a lot of stretch in the band too. I think that cups are a tad too big and the side wires a little too wide but I could wear this no prob. I can't wear under smooth tees because the lace is lumpy. Cups are a tad too separate but not uncomfortable.

    I have found it difficult to find bras with wide enough wires to contain my roots, but these underwires are sufficiently wide. That's why I'm keeping the bra for now, even though the rest of it is not an amazing fit for me. The wires are not the same shape as my IMF, so they don't stay there all day, causing wrinkling in the bottom of the cup. I'm close-set and the gore is a little wide for me, so I will probably try bending it out away from my body a bit. It's a functional bra though, and definitely supportive.

    I got this bra a couple of months ago and it is probably my absolute favorite so far! It is very breathable, the gore tacks, and the band itself is snug but also feels like it won’t move very much at all.
    So far for the last 2 months of wearing it, I haven’t had any issues with poking, the band did stretch slightly but not enough to where I have to adjust the hooks. After wearing for most of the day I do notice a little bit of gapping at the top but nothing significant.

    Hope this helps if anyone has looked at this particular bra, will be adding measurements very soon!

    This is my most comfortable bra. But not a perfect fit. With the addition of a strap extender, I was able to wear it all day without significant back or shoulder pain. The extender adds about 1/4”. I’ve only worn it for a full day one time, so my review may change as I wear it more.

    LeMystere, you've done your homework on this one! You've restored my faith that it's possible to have cups that are both Projected AND Seamless!!! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />)) Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this one!

    * Narrow-ish wires (5.8" wide) with projected seamless cups (10.75" deep). YAY!!!
    * Thin, adaptable 3-way stretch spacer-foam cups: provide a natural rounded shape, with just a bit of minimizer appearance (aka good support, but not a lot of lift). The spacer cups are thin enough to see light through them, but opaque when wearing. A great bra for hot summer days. "Headlights" WILL be noticable, if that's ... an issue for you...although less likely to be a problem in the summer anyway. It's also a great bra for traveling; the cups don't wrinkle!
    * Even though the height of the cups (8") would normally be too tall for me, there's no quadding or gaping. YAY!
    * The inner mesh sling has the same 3-way stretch as the cups, so there's no funny looking bulges where the mesh ends.
    * The U-shaped wires are quite firm and definitely provide most of the support. I admit they're a little bit long, but they tuck into my IMF right where they belong, so they're actually quite comfortable.
    * The 1.25" gore is a bit wide on me, but it sits low enough to stay out of the way. Cup depth at the gore is better than most that are this width, and for me is "acceptable". None-the-less, I wish the gore was narrower and had more center depth. (It definitely Won't be a great fit if you need a LOT of center fullness.)
    * The tall band is very comfortable, with double layer microfiber, encased elastic with a ballet back. Its' Rose Gold hardware is a pretty complement to the "Shell" color, which almost looks translucent, but it's not. (Very pale peach/very pale apricot; almost like a pale beige with a hint of pink).
    * The fully adjustable (but not convertible) center-pull straps are 5/8" wide, with flocking next to the skin. They don't slide down my sloping shoulders; and no rubbing into my armpits. YAY!

    For reference, I'm somewhat FoT (but functionally FoB because of settling & age), very close-set, projected, average width with short-ish roots, and a short torso with wide Lats and sloping shoulders.
    If this sounds like you, I think you'll love this one! I'll be buying more, for sure!

    Yet another bra with no information on Bratabase. So here you go!

    In a nutshell, soft and very comfortable... with shallow cups.
    * Microfiber inside and out. Tall double-sided band, no exposed elastic. Narrow 3x3 hooks & eyes are set into a smooth, bonded strip.
    *The back band is a very unique feature: it has vertical bands that rise up to meet the straps, so it looks like a squared-off ballet back.
    * Wires are long. Not necessarily tall under the arms, but they sit a full inch below my IMF, onto my ribs. Therefore, I don't fill the bottom of the cups. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
    * Cups are, I guess what you'd call 'lightly lined'; enough for coverage but certainly not enough to add volume. Much better suited for FoB.
    * Gore is low. Tacks but stays out of the way.
    * Straps are fully adjustable restricted stretch.
    * Rose gold hardware. Very pretty against the soft pink fabric.

    In a nutshell, this bra would be best suited for someone who doesn't need a lot of projection at the wire. Because this bra doesn't have it!

    * Construction-wise, this is a beautiful bra.
    * The lace cups won't show whatsoever even under the thinnest of T-Shirts. Thin padding: ever so slightly thicker at the wire/thinner at the decollotage.
    * The same lace is used on the band, which is lined with stretch microfiber.
    * The outside wire channel is wrapped in satin; a pretty detail.
    * Flocked elastic on the band is soft and comfortable. Not scratchy at all. There is no boning under the arms.
    * Bonded panel for the hooks & eyes is 1.75" tall. Narrow 3x3 hooks are rose gold hardware.
    * Restricted stretch, fully adjustable straps with a subtle satin stripe, keeps them from being boring.

    Oh, so close and yet so far!

    Originally, I had been wearing the Safari Perfect Uplift in 32G, and it fit great. The graduated padding gave a nice little boost that helped fill the lack of bottom fullness. (I am 'mostly even/somewhat FoT'.) Now a couple of years later, the band started getting too tight, and uncomfortable to wear all day, and the cups started to quad ever so slightly. For a while it helped to wear it with an extender, but then even that wasn't enough. The quadding became more pronounced. Hence, I tried first going up a band size/down a cup size. The result is ... the band is perfect, but...
    1: the cups are now too wide (sit too far into my underarms);
    2: the straps are placed too far apart (cut into my armpits, and the cups buckle and gape with anything less than perfect posture);
    3: the gore is too tall (the wires twist as if to try to lay one on top of the other).

    * So yes, it appears the cups are still small that I would need to try the 34G; but the 34DDD/F is already too wide.

    * Of note, the straps on the 34" band are wider and feel more secure. Both sizes have rows of 3 hooks.

    * Bottom line, the difference between band sizes is consistent, but Le Mystere increased cup size by width, making the sizing inconsistent. The cups on the 34" are more shallow than the 32", so there's no point trying the 34G...sigh!

    30D

    Fits

    I finally got my hands on the Le Mystere Sophia Lace Bra in 30D, which has been sold out on Nordstrom Rack for a while. If you've seen my other reviews, I bought a 30C a long time ago when that was closer to my size, recently tried my current normal sister size of 30DD and found it slightly too big, and decided to size down to 30D. Thankfully, this size worked out!

    I think that this bra fits quite similarly to the Masquerade Alice, where I also had to size down to a 30D. Compared to Alice, the band is much more TTS (it is ... a snug 30), and the cups are a little shallower, but it doesn't feel too small as it is designed for FOT shapes and can accommodate more upper fullness. Both are plunge balconettes that give a bit of natural push up without padding and create a really nice rounded shape. Alice runs a full cup size big, but this seems to run about half a cup size big. If you are a fan of Alice, give this bra a try!

    I had two problems in the 30DD/E that were remedied by sizing down--first, the 30DD/E is designed for a wider frame, so the outer edges of the cups are too high under my arms and cause gapping. Second, the bras I got in that size had this weird ridge at the bottom of the foam where it meets the wire, so there is no room for the wire to sit against the IMF. I didn't see this issue in my 30C or in this bra, so I think it's just a manufacturing inconsistency.

    I'm glad I got this to work for me again, because the bra is super pretty, and I just love the way it looks. The outer cup is covered with a layer of floral jacquard lace with a slight crossdye effect. The cradle and band are also fully covered in lace. I like that the band is actually made from mesh topped with lace, and has a proper wide bottom edge elastic, so it's not one of those flimsy lace bands that so many brands love to make. While it's narrow, it actually feels firm and supportive! The straps are narrow, but they do get a bit wider as sizing goes up. The front of the straps is covered with textured picot edged ribbon, while the adjustable portion at the back is plain satin. Fully adjustable straps would have been better, but the length of these isn't too bad. The only decoration is a lace bow at the gore with a small teardrop crystal charm.

  19. Sophia Lace Bra (2435)

    I bought my first Le Mystere Sophia Lace Bra a very long time ago randomly from Nordstrom Rack, and I have loved it ever since. At the time I was a 30D but thought I was a 30C, so this bra seemed to fit quite well before scooping. It gave a really nice rounded, lifted shape, and I was impressed by how TTS the 30 band was.

    However, now I realize that this bra was always too small for me, since I was not a 30C at the time I purchased it. It does seem to run a half cup big, which is probably why I ... could get away with it. It is a plunge cut and the shape of the cup is somewhere between the Masquerade Alice and Ewa Michalak M, so it is designed for FOT shapes, and can accommodate more upper fullness, which is why I wasn't totally spilling out of the 30C despite it being too small.

    Still, the wires on this were always a bit too narrow and short. As long as you are wearing the correct size or a slightly smaller size, even shallower on top shapes can wear this bra and not experience gapping at the top. As I found by sizing up to my current normal sister size of 30DD/E, however, wearing a slightly larger size is not suitable for shallower on top shapes and it will be unbelievably gappy, especially as the cups get wider and closer to the underarm area.

    In addition, the bottom of the cup is quite shallow and there is not much immediate projection. Because of this, I believe there's a bit of a manufacturing issue when molding the foam for the cups, as on some of the Sophia bras, I've noticed a bit of a ridge where the bottom of the foam meets the wire, so that there is no room for the breasts to sit right against the wire. It is more prominent on some of the bras I have tried than others, so I don't think this is intentionally part of the design. On this particular bra the effect is quite minor, so I hadn't noticed it until now, though I've owned the bra for years and have never noticed it not fitting at the wire.

    However, the bra is super pretty, and I just love the way it looks. This colorway, in Waterfall, actually looks a lot like the Masquerade Alice in Mineral Blue, both in color and in shape. I really wished that the 30DD/E bras worked for me, but it looks like I will need to hunt down a 30D to get my best fit in this style! Since I sized down to a 30D in the Masquerade Alice, I expect that the two bras to fit quite similarly in the same size.

    However, as I had to size down in the Masquerade Alice to a 30D, it looks like I will need to size down in this bra as well, since I am not very full on top. There is also some slight gapping in this size when just standing. It seems to run a half cup big, though probably not a full cup big.
