I had tried this first in a 32F but it wasn't right. However, the differences between the two sizes is significant. The cups on the 32G are proportionately more shallow, much wider and taller than on the 32F. It does have 3 x 3 hooks instead of 2 x 3, and the straps are also wider. The band felt truer to Le Mystere's typical sizing, but maybe that was only because the cups were 'closer' to my correct size. Basically just the wrong shape for me. So sad!
I do love the concept of the optional lace panel which can be worn either in the front as a cami or in the back as a racerback.

    Didn't fit

    A very ingenius design:
Fully adjustable straps have 2 positions in back to hook to. Three possible positions: standard straight, wide straight and standard racerback when using the lace insert.
Has a triangular lace panel: can be worn in front as a cami, or as a triangle in the back.
#1: As a cami: Where the cups meet the straps there are 2 sets of loops to choose which to hook to (presumably the upper hooks provide more coverage and the lower hooks less coverage, or slightly less width). The inside of the gore has a snap to anchor the third corner to, and a ... flap to cover it when not in use.
#2: As a racerback: you hook the long edge of the lace parallel to the band. Their photo on the hang-tag shows the hooks attached to the outer loops, then the straps are shortened and hooked onto loops at the third corner (where the snap is).

    The good and/or the typical:
The cups are tall and run shallow for me, although not as as badly as some bras. Very soft and comfortable. Managed center fullness better than I expected.
The band is double layer microfiber. Bottom elastic is hidden. Top elastic is exposed but soft. The front center band is contoured for better comfort.
The wires are firm but comfortable.
The gore is a comfortable height; not too tall. (But it is a little wide to allow for said snap & flap.)
The straps are typical .5" wide with flocking on the underside, with a firm stretch.

    Now the design flaws:
The band is considerably shorter than most LeMystere bras I've tried, which are already shorter than most brands.
The straps are also short, too. For me, they're barely usable fully extended in standard position, and I'm only 5'2" with a medium build.
    The triangle lace panel:
#1: Too small to wear in the front as a cami. The top edge is overstretched and it curls down, even set on the lower loops. (Could be caused by the lace being too narrow and/or the straps being set too far apart?)
#2: The diagonal sides don't have enough fabric to cover up to the edges of the cups. (Not much of a cami if there's a gap between the cups and the lace!)
#3: In the racerback position, if worn as pictured (set on the outer back loops), the lace was stretched beyond it's ability. I feared the integrity of the lace or stitching as I was putting it on & taking it off. When I hooked the lace to the inner loops it didn't put nearly as much stress on the stitching. However, it was still a bugger to put on/take off.

LeMystere, I hope you're reading this!
This is a great concept, but my guess is marketing had their way and it was put into production before the bugs were tweaked out, so to speak. Tell marketing to let you do your job, and then re-release the new version only when it's ready!!!

Everything about this strapless bra is BIG!
Size-wise, it's not that it's way too big on me, like I'd probably need a 32F instead, but the proportions of this bra look incredibly silly on my short torso frame, and the shape is just completely wrong for me.
The cups are tall and very high-set. The gore is very tall. The wires are very long... and tall. The wings are very tall.
On the upside, it does seem to be very well made and would be comfortable on the right person.

Wow, I totally didn't expect this one to be so shallow. The wires sat a full inch below my IMF on my ribs and the cups quadded significantly. The cups are crazy wide, as well as the straps so there was all sorts of buckling going on near & under the armpits.

As for quality, it's top-notch: Self-lined band with wonderfully soft materials. Beautiful lace in the back with a mesh lining for extra support. Soft, flexible cups. Wires, too! Minimal lining and a smooth cup edge. Straps that won't slip. Has the J-hook for turning it into a racerback, (but I did find it was too tight when hooked, even with the straps fully extended).

Overall a great bra. Just the wrong shape for me.

Completely the wrong shape for me:
Very tall, wide wires cut into my armpits; Tall, closed cups cut in severely causing major quadding, especially near the arms; The gore is tall and doesn't sit flat; The front straps are set extremely far apart.
On the plus side, the fabrics feel very soft and on the right person would be quite comfortable; the wings are very tall, so there is no unsightly back or underarm bulge. There is boning under the arms as well as in the back. The band has a firm stretch to it; felt true to size. The cups have tapered padding to ... give some lift. At the bottom wires, the padding is approximately .5" thick and tapers to virtually nothing at the top. (Because the top quadded so severely I expected the wires would get pushed out of my IMF, but that was not the case.) There is silicone along both top and bottom edges of the band and the top of the cups. (It feels very secure, like it would easily stay put.)
If I had to guess, I would say this would fit someone FoB with short roots, and possibly low-set. Whereas, I am "functionally FoB" with taller roots than what this strapless requires.

  6. Safari Perfect Uplift Demi T-shirt Bra (978)

I now have this Safari Uplift in 3 colors: Black, Sahara and Calypso. The cups fit exactly the same on all 3 but there are slight differences in the bands. The black feels the shortest after it's been on for a while. Maybe the fabric is different on the black, because the bottom of the band starts to rub on my sides under the arms, after I've had it on a long time.

Gore is too tall for close-set breasts. The wires at the gore push themselves closer together with what space there is, and so puts east/west pressure on the center breast tissue. Outer wires are wide on me, reaching into the center of my underarm. The straps and the outer edge of the cups cut into my underarms and cause abrasion with only a few minutes of trying it on. (I had to extend the straps all the way). I had no trouble filling the bottom of the cups, but there was gaping inside the top of the cups on my short pair. Plus, the 8.5" distance between the apexes spread the girls too far apart on me.
Seems like it would fit someone with outer fullness, moderately splayed, high-set, and/or maybe FoT self-supporting.

    Didn't fit

I've tried a few Safari's now and on each one I get the appearance of major linebacker shoulders.
The 32" band provides the best tension; the 34" fits too loose but does not lessen the problem with the upper back. I've tried a larger cup in the 32" which helped somewhat, but not nearly enough.
I like the shape of the cup well enough, even though the bottom tends to buckle a bit, in both the 32G or the 34F. (The wires on the 32G sit well in my IMF but the 34F falls out and the cups still buckle.)
The straps on either the ... 32" or 34" always feel short and I have to lengthen them as much as possible. I've tried tightening the straps to correct the wire falling out/cups buckling, but #1: doesn't fix the problem, #2: is very uncomfortable on the shoulders.
This Crushed Violet colorway is a gorgeous Plum Purple, and the fabrics seem softer and more comfortable than the Nude or Capri Floral, which both feel very stiff while wearing.

What I wish I could find is something that has the back detail of the 'Wacoal Fire and Lace' with the projected cups & narrow wires of the Safari, padded or not. (If anyone knows of something like that feel free to chime in!)

This is great summer bra! Not a lot of 'fluff' adding extra bulk.
The band is single layer mesh with a tight stretch; doesn't feel like it would stretch out too quickly; feels true to size. The wires are firm but flexible; narrow but widen out if the band is stretched too much. The cups are deep, unlined, double layer, mesh on the inside, sheer lace on the outside. Good support with a natural/rounded lifted look. The lace is thin and flat enough it won't show under a thin T. There is .5" wide elastic across the top of the cups and unfortunately cut in ... severely on me.
The gore provides a lot of separation and low enough to stay out of the way. This is definitely not a cleavage bra but good for breathability! The straps are only partially adjustable; the front has some 'give' to it but not enough to really call it stretchy; front straps are kicked in towards the center more...they're not forced out to the outside corners of the cups. The back straps also seem brought into the center more and attached to the band Ballet style.
Overall, a good bra for narrow & projected, but I'll need to try the next cup size up because of the elastic on the cup edge.

Not a perfect fit, but the best fit I have so far. Gives me nice cleavage a nice shape, though sometimes a little pointy. The lace design shows through all tighter fitting shirts, and it cannot be worn with white as the entire pattern is completely visible.

This was too wide and shallow for me. Definitely need something with narrower wires and more projection.

I think this also runs small. The band is quite firm and there isn't much stretch in the cups. May work well for another shape, but is a miss for me.

I first tried the 32F which was a tad small in the cup (but the band was perfect). So I was very surprised to discover such a huge difference in size with this one. It feels like a completely different bra.
The band is still the same, but the cups are so much wider than the 32F that the straps naturally have to follow and so the top of the cups buckle under my armpits. The gore also feels taller in that it sits on my center closeness when standing, but yet falls away (by about 3/4") when leaning forward. As the cup size increases, it's definitely more shallow than projected.

Amazon accidentally sent me this one instead of my actual order. So here's another entry for the database.
Le Mystere bras always seem to have short, wide-set straps with restricted stretch, and high sides. (The Safari Perfect Uplift might just be the only exception, that I know of.) So...my "functionally FoB" shape leaves these cups just a little too open when I start moving around. If not for that I might be tempted to keep it. But not this time.

In a nutshell: Shallow and proportionately wide. The cups and wires are way too wide and the straps are way too far apart for me. Although the cup edge fits ok when standing, it's just completely the wrong shape in every other detail.
Too bad, too, since the fabrics are beautiful. The cups are smooth and nicely rounded. The band is true to size. The lace on the band is really pretty and not scratchy. The straps have just the right amount of stretch.

  15. Safari Perfect Uplift Demi T-shirt Bra (978)

This Safari Perfect Uplift Demi is a completely different bra than it's cousin #9978.

True to size stretchier band; softer fabrics and infinitely more comfortable; double lined, no exposed elastic; good support, but may stretch out quickly (?).
Straps adjust long enough, whereas #9978 didn't. Strap design similar to #9978; both are restricted stretch, only partially adjustable; these straps are slightly narrower.
This one's seamless demi cups are wider and more shallow. Not as much projection as its' seamed full cup cousin. Graduated padding in these cups gives nice lift without 'in your face' push up. (#9978 has thin foam padding throughout.)

As for actual fit: the cups were ever-so-small on me; the gore floated ever-so-slightly at the top (bottom tacked fine) and I quadded in the center...until I extended the straps all the way. Then the quadding disappeared, however sacrificed a bit of lift in the process. I fear the wires are already wide enough that the next cup size up would be too wide.

No, just so much no.... where do I start.... ok so being low and back/multi way strapped I didn’t expect a stellar bra, it’s for occasional wear, fancy dresses, but this is basically unwearable. So the weird under strap cuts in and creates VERY unflattering mini bulges, keep in mind I have very little (basically none) body fat on/around my ribs so this is a problem that i assume is exponentially worse with increased soft tissue. The cups which are very firm and don’t give in any way, are perfect little half spheres, which doesn’t really match any breast shape I know of.....it was free though, so at least I’m not out anything!

My bra size has changed so I decided to try this style again because I have liked it in the past. After wearing only Ewa Michalak exclusively for many months, this bra just doesn't cut it. While I like the bra quality and appearance, it isn't right for me. First off, the cups are slightly too small and much too wide. But the real problem is lack of center projection. It forces my tissue to east/west and therefore flattens my profile so much that it looks like a minimizer. The shape of these cups is not flattering on me at all but that certainly doesn't mean it won't work beautifully for someone else. I'm headed back to Ewa Michalak in my new size.

Not a good shape match for conical, close-set, splayed shape. Band is reasonably tight for a 32" band, so if you measure 31" at the under bust this might be a great balance of comfort and band longevity. I usually wear a 30" band and this is on the 2nd hook, however I don't wear it often because of the fit issues. It's a super cute bra and the middle seam has minimal show-though in most clothes besides t-shirts.
