I've been trying to decide whether or not to get this bra for a while now. My first instinct was of course to try 30E, but after reading reviews, I realized I'd probably be better off with 30F. So the tight band is amazing. I can swoop and scoop and everything stays put. It's VERY snug-as some users mentioned, which is why I decided to go with the usual 30 band.
A big issue I've been having with 30E's and those that fit like them is that the wire at the gore has been poking into my right boob a lot lately. I think it has something to do with the ...gore being too wide. I don't have a big problem with that in this, and it may have only been this way because the bra I'd been wearing pokes my boob really badly, but the gore hurt a little bit here too. The gore was actually so bad on the bra I was wearing that it literally cut into my boob though, so it may not have been this bra at all.
The shape this bra gives is incredibly perky(a big reason I looked into buying it). I like it a lot. I also like that the wires aren't super wide.
My biggest problem with this bra is the top part of the cups. There's a light elastic over the top, which I believe helps create the shape I like, but it also cuts into my tissue and looks awkward on its own. Under a shirt though? No problem. I'm just wondering if perhaps I should've tried a 30FF. Considering that this seems like a lot of 30E's, and I've been quadding out of a lot of those, maybe that's my problem? My boobs are tall and one is FoT, the other is about even, so it looks a little awkward. Like almost as if the tissue is being squeezed. I'm going to post a fit check in a few days, and hopefully get some input as to whether or not I should be sizing up more or if, once again, it's a shape issue. =/
Overall I think this bra is probably best for centered boobs, narrow or maybe average roots, FoB, maybe shallow?
I first tried this bra in a 30e(in black) and it fit good around the ribcage but felt a smidgeon too small in the cups. Now I ordered the 30f in purple, the color is stunning! Just like the pictures on Figleaves. It gives you a rounded shape, natural shape, I really like that. It works with what you've got instead of sculpting it into something completely different.
I'm gonna order this bra in a cup size bigger in the future, because I'm not sure if a 30f or a 30ff would suit me better, I'll have to wait and see https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> It's ...perfectly tight on the loosest hooks and it's comfortable throughout the day. Only the last few hours it starts to hurt a bit around the ribcage. But hey, it's going to stretch and it's definitely not torture! Just a little pain but that'll ease up after some time. It holds your boobs steadily but when you feel'em they still feel soft, but sturdy. You gotta try it to understand! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Nice, natural feeling https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 86 more words
I really liked this bra at first. The band is true to size and the cups have a nice and somewhat rounded shape. It's usually comfortable, except when my ribs flare up under the gore. The cups are a tiny bit too big for me, so sometimes the fabric buckles and it changes the shape slightly.
I almost always wear a 30 band, but this was definitely too small. Putting a back extender on it made it fit pretty well though! It has a good push-up effect. The fabric feels a little itchy and the quality isn't super great, but it was very cheap so no surprises there. Although the lace overlay isn't attached to the cup, it looks good and doesn't wrinkle too much. The straps are thin and don't feel very sturdy.
I am fairly happy with this bra. It is a pretty, comfortable everyday bra and it fits fairly well, although the shape/style is not perfect for me it is pretty close. The back is really really tight! I usually wear 28 but this is good for me on the loosest hook,
Edit: I stopped wearing this bra. I think the size was right, but the shape not quite. Not sure exactly what was wrong, think maybe the wires were the wrong shape (not wide or open enough???) for me. Also I didn't really like the shape (or more lack of shape) that I got with this bra. But it is still a pretty, everyday bra. Just not quite right for me.
It's a well-constructed bra that's great for narrow, projected and even/FOB shapes. The lace on top is stretch lace so it can accommodate a certain amount of top fullness but there's an elastic band running from gore to wing that closes off the cup pretty quickly. If you're significantly FOT it might not work so well.
The cup was great for my shape. The wires are narrow but softer; they start to distort quite a bit before the 28.5" stretched length so I doubt the cup diameter when I'm wearing it is anywhere near as small as what I measured. But ...it definitely is narrow. The band is very tight for a 30 and it's firm. I've had to wear it with an extender (and I prefer my Cleos with a 28 band!) The straps are super short - fully adjustable, but I'd like probably another 3/4 inch in length to get it as long as I'd prefer.
The material is of a lower quality than my other bras, but honestly that doesn't surprise me for the price point. It's still decent. It's not the smoothest - the lace and mesh can get a bit scratchy, but it's nothing too irritating. Except the straps, but the length is a huge contributor to that problem. If they weren't digging in, I don't think they'd bother me.
In my opinion, it's a very good bra for my shape/size. I'd say to sister-size up or plan on using an extender to avoid band issues. It would do better with someone whose boobs were a bit higher set or who never has problems with too-short strap length (this isn't the first bra I've had a problem with and it won't be the last). It's especially good for anyone looking for a well-made bra at a lower price point. It retails for $33 USD, but I got mine on sale for just over $13. Read more 233 more words
This was my first attempt to find a bra that fits properly. Seems to be ok overall (surprisingly!) except the cups are too shallow for me and the band seems to get pushed down in the front. Had to bend the underwires to follow my ribcage on the bottom, and I don't like that the lace isn't attached to the cup.
Edit: depending on what time of day it is/ how insistent my toddler's been, the cups seem a little small as well as cutting in just slightly on the top edge.
The band is very snug. Good for less than 28" under bust. Love the red lace. It's very pretty. I like the band because it's good for people who don't have a V shaped ribcage above their under bust. The straps are too wide for me and if I wear an extender on the middle the cups don't feel too wide anymore. There is a flap of extra bra material above my nipple towards the middle of the cups, like the cups are too tall for me.
I'm just trying new sized bras, and this one is a bit tight for me. I don't like how the gore like presses into my sternum, it's ok for short times but hurts after a while. It's unfortunate because otherwise it fits great!
Another thing is that the balconette design kinda results in a bump on the outside of the bra very close to where your nipple is. Which is visible depending on the shirt you wear, so it looks like your nipples are showing when they are not. This also is unfortunate.
I measured myself using abrathatfits parameters a few weeks ago, but have since forgot my measurements, just that it said 30F was my size. I no longer have measuring tape so cannot measure for y'all.
I like this bra a lot. It's very pretty, is simple and elegant, and gives an excellent rounded shape that enhances the silhouette. It also has thick straps and thick wings which give great support without bulges.
I dislike how high the underwires come up. It sometimes causes pain on my sternum or the adjacent ribs. The high gore also appears to sit on some of my breast tissue (tall roots?). There are also big rings that hold the straps on the back; sometimes these dig in.
This bra felt HUGE compared to the other 30F bras that I ordered from Figleaves at the same time- a noticeably larger band and cups that I was swimming in. That being said, I was devastated that it wasn't gonna work https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" /> So cute! Can't really comment on the fit because it was so large.
This is one of the most ill-fitting bras I've ever had the misfortune of putting onto my breasts (since escaping the bra matrix, anyway). It's a shame, because I like the black Just Peachy bra I own in 30FF. I can't even come close to getting this one done up, whereas the 30FF is comfortably tight in the band. This one runs small in the band--it only stretched to 27.5 inches. The straps are very short.
The cups on this also seem too large in the top, which is the same problem I have with the 30FF. The seam of the cup across my breast seemed to dig ...in despite there being extra room in the cup, and that made the shape wonky too. This doesn't happen on the 30FF. I'm not sure if I should bother trying to size up in sister sizes--perhaps this bra doesn't work for even breasts (ie, neither full on top/bottom)?
Still, it's a beautiful bra. I think it's fairly unfair to comment about it when the band is too small for me because it distorts how everything else fits. It looks fine in the pictures, but I was holding it behind my back for the sake of the photo. Read more 98 more words
It fits great initially, but as the day goes on the fabric falls down and the top starts cutting in across my breasts. It seems to be a FoB friendly, not FoT friendly bra. The band is pretty snug, so it's ideal for someone who needs a 28 band.
Wow the band runs small on this bra! I measure 26.5" underbust so an overly snug 30 band doesn't bother me but if you measure more than 28", I would bump up to a 32 band in this bra. The design of the bra is such that the back is higher than the front no matter what. It's not riding up because it's too snug for that but I question the level of support it provides with the back curving up higher than the front.
A review on the figleaves site had mentioned the cheap looking lace on this bra. I disagree, it's lovely and overall the quality of ...materials is very good. And this purple color is much better in person, online it looked too reddish. The apex is very high on the cup, so this might be a better choice for full on bottom breasts like mine. The wires are pretty narrow and the cup fabric is deep and stretchy, this is not a bra for wide-rooted shallow girls but works for me. The cups push all the breast tissue to the front and center, very forward pointing with smooth sides. The skinny elastic band at the top of the already stretchy lace panel seems unnecessary and creates a slight quadboob on my larger side. On full on top breasts, I imagine this would be problematic.
When wearing just the bra, I thought it gave a very pointy shape. But under clothes it's a rounded natural shape. I liked the fit and comfort of this bra until I wore it all day and my sternum was so bruised I couldn't wear an underwire bra at all the next day. I don't know if this is due to wires that are too high or low but I think I need to bend them.
ETA: I just bought 2 more of these in 30FF because my breasts seem to have inflated/grown and I am crazy quadboobing. Read more 211 more words
This was the first bra I bought after trying correct sizing, but I miscounted and ordered a cup size larger than I should have. The band on this bra is TIGHT. My underbust measurement is just barely under 30 inches and I can't get this hooked unless I exhale and stretch it all the way out. The straps are also short and dig into my shoulders even when fully extended. Because it's the wrong size, the cups are a tad too roomy in the front. I ended up altering the bra.
It's the scratchiest out of all the bras I own, but it's still really comfy. The lace is stretchy and accomodates a lot, but is still too small. Going to try a 30FF and see how that is in comparison. Narrow wire, which is great for me, but might not be for everyone. I feel like it gives me a 'soft hills' but a slightly pointy look, which is fine by me.
Very tight band, very small cup in width with a lot of projection at the front of the cup. I filled it on the bottom, quad boobed at the top, but still had wrinkling at the point of the cup.
This bra is suitable for full on top boobs. The upper section of the bra is very stretchy.
Umm... This bra doesn't really impress me. It has that angled up band that brasihate talk about. That no matter what, even in the correct band size, it'll angle up. This bra doesn't fit me correctly, the band is ill-fitting(I suspect it'd feel uncomfortable even in the correct band size) and I think the cups are too big because even when scooping and swooping hardcore(haha) there'll be some wrinkling at the top. It feels as though the bra isn't compatible with me. I have high on chest boobs and they ...are very full on top, that's doesn't seem to be the problem though, the problem is with the rest of my uhm... Shape. I need narrow wires and thecup construction is too wide for me. There's no chance in hell that my nipples will rest at the apex (where the seams meet in the middle of the cup)! The band is really uncomfortable because it is so narrow, it could be a lot wider. Why aren't bras in general wider in the band? I don't get that. This bra in particular is very narrow in the band. I find that bras in general that have angled up bra bands are uncomfortable... This one is no exception. Honestly, I cannot recommend this bra at all. The only good thing about it is the strong material used in the bottom of the cups. That's all. The band is way too ill-constructed for me to ever want to try it again. Even if there was the correct size for me to chose from. Read more 171 more words
