It's a beautiful unpadded halfcup bra with side support sling. The cups are true to size and very open on top, and have wide wires (great for wide root shallow boobs!) The band runs tight. I usually wear a 30 band (29" loose underbust), but I went for a 32 band in the Esprit and it fits well. The cups of the 32C did not fit well however. The wires were too narrow and cut into breast tissue.
Pros: - the lace is very stretchy, making the bra super comfortable to wear - wide wires - band runs tight for a 32 - natural shape (maybe slightly pointy) - pretty appearance
Cons: - seams are slightly visible under clothing - cup is closed on top, so it's not suitable for full-on-top boobs.
The bra doesn't fit me, so I'm just commenting on the construction.
First of all, the band runs tight. It feels more like a 30 band in comparison to most other bras I tried. The lace is rather stiff and rigid, not as stretchy as the Gossard Reverie, for example. It didn't stretch out much.
Pros: - It's lacy and sheer, yet supportive. - Fits comfortably, no poking or cutting in. - Wide wires. - Straps are fully adjustable. - Quality seems excellent, except for the closure.
Cons: - It has only one row of hooks, and the hooks and eyes on the closure are flimsy. The eyes got pulled out of the lining by the stretched band after only a few wears. You can easily reinforce them with a thread and some stitches - I wonder why Gossard didn't do that. - Gives a pointy shape. - Seams show through clothing.
