I love this bra so much! It's so feminine and ballerina-esque. I love all of the rose gold details and cutouts in the band and gore. The band runs super tight (only stretches to 26 inches) which is perfect for me. The cups are nice and short. They could be a bit more immediately projected, but they do give nice lift. The gore is narrow and comfortable. Thanks erispe for swapping this one with me! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
So aesthetically and tactile-y pleasing to me that I can't stop looking at it and rubbing the sooooft faux silk between my fingers. The colour of the band and lace is this hue between pink and purple and it's beautiful. Gossard makes some of the prettiest bras. This one has a gate back and thin, silky, fabric-lined straps.
As for fit, it's a liiittle too projected for my shallow apex shape.
The band runs short, closer to a 28, and the band doesn't have as much potential to stretch out because it is assembled of two segments with the gate half being super, super firm, so I would consider sizing up if you're a true 30.
These colors are so reminiscent of summer flowers! Beautiful!
This bra reminds me so much of the Freya Wildfire plunge (right down to the gate back and color combo). I'm thinking about finally parting with my nwt 30DD (runs more like a 30E). I'm only keeping it because it's so pretty and I want it to fit, but ti doesn't. Sad face.
I absolutely love this! Not suitable for center fullness though, byt it's so beautiful I just couldn't resistent it! It should be hanging on a wardrobe door or from a folding wall or something really, but as it is now it makes me smile everytime I open the lingerie drawer https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
As someone who blogs, I appreciate an abundance of pictures. This set is hot!

I wish I could have this bra in my size range so bad!
FoxTaylor i think the plunge onöy goes up to E and the padded to G. It's definately not fair!
Your review makes me want this set, even though it wouldn't work for me in any way. I'm glad you are having such amazing results with it. It looks fabulous on you!
learningaboutbras thank you, I'm quite pleased with the pictures (well. Some of them). But the truth is that it doesn't look as nice once I start moving around haha
I fit ok in this bra but it's just a tad empty on top, especially on my smaller boob's side. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> So I'm not keeping it (it's being sold on here). The lack of breast weight to fully fill up and hold down the cups (my fault) makes the bra extra pointy and it looks somewhat weird from the sides. The bra has an older sort of shape to it, not a circle but more triangular. While I can find that attractive, I probably would only get an appealing old fashioned look if I sized down a cup. The seams definitely ...make this a hard to wear bra with most clothes, so it's more of a "sexy time bra".
Band is tight, more like a 28". I measure 26" below and 33" around the breasts (26F) but like 28s and 30s---the band was nice on me. The cups? Probably run true to size; this cup being just a little big on me can be expected if we look at sister sizes. I really do love the band and the bra itself is super pretty, but just not made for my shape. Someone with more projection and larger boobs would fit better, say a 28F/FF.
The top of the cups also try to encapsulate your breast tissue. This could be an issue for some people. It wasn't as plunge-y and revealing as I had expected.
Worth noting: No push up padding. Not sheer. Lightly padded cups with lace on top. Read more 145 more words
This bra runs reeeaally small in band and cup. It's like a 26F-28 E..I think! Haha cups are like what a 30DD/32D or 30D/32C would be on me. I can get the band on and it feels alright. If it were just the band I could deal with it. The cups constrict my boobs and make them into a downward 7. Getting ready to list this one. I still love it. If I could swap for a 32E or 30F I totally would. Would consider 32DD as long as cup depth is around 9"
yup, I've been trying to inform everybody in this community that most Gossard bands run tight. In fact, every single gossard I have runs tight except for the Superboost satin plunge. generally most gossard 30 bands stretch out to 29" or 29.5".
Saskia That's great that you're trying to get the word out! I took it out of the package and I was like..yep, that's not going to fit well. Haha Otherwise, in your experience do the cups tend to run small too, or do you think that's just influenced by such small bands? I'd like to order a new one of these.
I think there's someone on /r/braswap who's looking for this size! A good idea is to check measurements and reviews here before buying from new brands. I have the Phoebe as well and I think the downward 7 might have something to do with the seam on top of the cup. I have it in a bigger size than I usually have in Gossard, and it's a bit loose in the cup on my smaller side, but it still cuts in on top and I don't even have that much tissue there.
I own and tried on about a dozen 30 band @Gossard bras, but I must say none were/are as tight in the band as the Phoebe. I just treat their 30 band as if it were a 28 - but this is more like a 26 band. The Superboost Lace collection isn't tight at all though - true 30.
erispe That's good to know! I was looking at some of their other bras, but was concerned about ordering the incorrect size.
erispe I don't think mine is any tighter than the other Gossards I own, it's a 30FF and fits like 28G, but definately not like a 26-band.
Staaldrigstill I found 30DD and 30E really tight - extender case, while the 30F was good bandwise. I suppose it doesn't come out consistently through all sizes. And it is a different feel with the narrow, one hook band, I find.
erispe that might be the case, as mine has 2 hooks
Staaldrigstill While I'm not crazy abut the one hook band, went to compare the 30 Gossard band lenghts and can conclude that the Phoebe 30E is on average 3 cm shorter than most others (DD&E cups) I own and a whole 7cm shorter than the 30DD Superboost Lace 7715 in beige. Given that yours in 30FF is of normal length and I found the 30F OK, I'd say that something went wrong with the sizing at the lower end of the size range. Now I need to get a one hook extender...
I am so excited to have FINALLY found a bra that fits me. My breasts are tall rooted and slightly wide, and possibly shallow (FOB) with some immediate projection. Add to that pretty close-set and slightly splayed. Most bras end up being either just a smidge too narrow for me, or far, far too wide. Summer is still bordering on too narrow, but it *just* makes the cut. It's comfortable, it looks great, and amazingly it doesn't gape. I think I can attribute the last point to the fact that the padding gradually increases around the outside bottom of the cup where I tend to have less ...breast tissue. It feels about half an inch thick there, and tapers off toward the center and upper sections of the bra.
My one concern is the single hook 'gate' closure. The bra feels completely stable when I wear it, but I do wonder how long the band's lifespan will be with all the tension being distributed across such a small area. I wish the fabric lining the back of the clasps extended a little farther too- I'm wearing it on the loosest setting, and the edge of the clasp end of the band is only barely shielding my skin from the tip of the last hook. I could feel it poking once or twice over the course of the day, it was a pretty minor nuisance. Read more 127 more words
Bad: -Lining of the cup feel itchy sometimes -Underwire digs a little at the centre -Underwire poke the armpit at the left side - Nipples not along the seams -Seams show through the T-shirt
Ok, it’s official: I’m giving up on Glossies. I’ve now tried 30DD, 30E, 30F, and 32DD, and every size has fit me in a really strange way.
On the 30E, while the wires are 5 inches wides (which should work fine), they somehow stretch into my armpits (they’re pretty flexible). It’s not deep enough at the bottom of the cups, but I can’t fill out the top of the cups (there is wrinkling)… but it also cuts into my tissue at the top of the cups on my larger side. I think the projection is just completely in the wrong place for me. Too high, best I can tell.
My shape: narrow roots, close set, projected (but not super projected), immediate projection, some fullness at the top but primarily FOB, and soft tissue.
Beautiful bra! The cups are too shallow at the apex for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I imagine one the right person this gives cake on a plate or a rounded shape. I took a risk because it's a cup size smaller than I usually wear but with an open cup and being on the very bottom edge of the depth I normally require and so pretty I wanted to try it. Sad it didn't work out. band felt firm but not a size smaller though I would only recommend it to someone on the small end of 30 or add an extender.
The oversized bow somehow seems right in person and the whole bra looks delicate and petite which is harder to pull off in my size for most companies.
I love this bra! The fit is amazing. Sure, the band is too loose on me but everything else about the bra is perfect. Great spacing, great cup depth, strap width, cup width, wire length, etc... I've got high set boobs and this bra does not cause gaping at the top of the cup what so ever. Despite its level of coverage. I know a lot of people say they get major torpedo-boob from this bra but, I don't have that issue. I'm basically equally balanced (equally full on bottom and top), and I get a very natural appearance that I find to be totally acceptable for normal everyday wear. I hope I can find more bras like this one, or that Gossard releases another one like it in the future.
I liked this "push up" bra in a 30DD, which is my usual Gossard size, however I could have used a little more room in the cups because of the bottom padding, so I ordered a 30E. This one does NOT have push-up padding! I was disappointed because that means the bra just acts like a t-shirt bra for me, and I don't totally fill out the bottom of the cups. Another difference is it has two hooks in three columns, but that's more of an improvement than a detriment. I do like the bra even though it is not a push-up bra like I had expected. So ...please be aware that the push-up padding is not available in cups after DD, it seems.
Like most Gossards, the 30 band is somewhat tighter than one would expect. My measurements are 27" & 33/34" and I like a tight fit. So if you're a true 30, it is not uncomfortably tight, I'd imagine, but you might like to size up a band.
This is a nice unlined and padded bra with removable straps (though you would not want to go strapless in this bra because it is not meant to be that way). I love that the straps are very thin, but take note that there is 6 or so inches of unadjustable strap. I usually have my bra straps pretty tight, but these still have room to be tightened so that is good for anyone who worries about that.
Gore is very low, just a little strap with basically no space between the cups. I like the color of the bra--a dark grey. It is a nice change from black.
If anyone has any questions, please ask away. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 183 more words
This bra is a longline kind of, at least in the front. In the back it is a regular one, with 3 hooks (!) to fasten it.
The band is tight enough for me which means it runs tight. I usually need a 28 band. The cups are okay for me, but I think they make my boobs a little east-west. The deep plunge front would ideally create a massive cleavage, but because of the east-west shape, my cleavage disappears. The cups are quite big in a way that they make my boobs look very big! I don´t however think the cups are too big for me, I think it is the "right" size. It could be though that wearing a smaller cup size I would get the to-die-for cleavage, don´t know.
The straps are very wide and soft. They adjust all the way. The bra is very comfortable to wear.
I did also get matching briefs size M. They feel very supportive and I think they run true to size. I usually wear EU M.
Great retro shape, absolutely gorgeous to look at. This is probably one of my best-fitting bras. The band is snug but not too snug and the straps feel like they're doing their job. Cups may give a pointy shape to larger breasts, but they're nicely rounded for me.
This is a very shallow bra, with rather wide underwires. The underwires don't exactly have the shape I need (they form a too deep U, I think), so it's somehow uncomfortable and I can't wear it for very long amounts of time. The bra's made out of transparent mesh and there's a non-transparent side support panel made out something that feels like padded bras. The straps and the band have some lace at the borders which is a little hard and not too comfortable.
The cups were somehow wrinkly, so I altered it a little (sewed parts of the mesh to the side support panel). Now it doesn't wrinkle anymore and it looks really well.
this bra almost fits, with the slightest bit of wrinkling on the top sides. it is quite closed up top and cuts into my FOT boobs, but the main issue is i hate the shape it gives me. my center fullness pushes my boobs out into two different directions in it and the wider gore does not help. i think this would be a nice bra if for shapes with even horizontal fullness and FOB.
Since I purchased this bra, I've only tried it on for short periods twice. It's comfortable with a very stretchy band. Because of this, it doesn't offer the support I'm used to. I wanted to try it in a different size, but I refused to pay return shipping fees.
The thin straps and single hook & eye don't bother me. It is a beautiful bra & I love the color.
If I keep it I'll use it as a lounge/casual bra.
What I recall about purchasing this, and the Supperboost Padded plunge (NWT sitting in my drawer) is that I wasn't able to exchange them without paying shipping fees. That was a lesson I took to heart. They will never get my business again. I didn't want my money back, I wanted to try a different size.
I’ll donate or sell them for shipping only - eventually.
Front closing bra with no underwire! On the listing from the store it didn't mention that it didn't have underwire. So this fits more like a bralette. Despite that, it's pretty comfortable and fits pretty well to any other bralette I've tried. It's not super supportive, but more supportive than other bralettes I've tried.
The straps and cups are a little wide for me, digging into my armpits a bit, but not too badly. The cups are a tad bit shallow for me, causing the tiniest bit of quad-boobing on the top, but it's very very minimal. Overall, it fits pretty well.
The materials are really nice and the elastic feels really soft on the skin.
The sparkly fabric is very pretty, and very sheer. There is no room for variations in size, though. You either fit or you don't, and you get wrinkles as a result. My larger boob fit perfectly but the smaller one has some spare room. That said, I found this for only $12, so I'll be keeping it.
OMG - this is amazing! I am so happy it fits so great. Yeah! Success! :) I kinda want to open that champagne I've been chilling for a week now. :)
