About me: Tall roots, low set, centre-full, projected but self-supporting, even vertical fullness, average-to-narrow roots but functionally narrow, somewhat close set, firm tissue. Average width shoulders but muscular-ish.

Overview: Gorsenia is one of my top favourite bra brands. Their styles are very beautiful, the construction is consistent and high quality, and the shape fits me well. Gorsenia is my "summer bra" go-to brand because their bras are soft, unlined and very light and breathable. They also look good if you're wearing a lower neckline or strappy top. The Charlotte is typical Gorsenia: light breathable fabric, deep round bowl, 3-piece cup ... construction, narrow deep UU shape wires, tight band. Most Gorsenia bras are great for FOT and/or centre-full shapes who need a lot of cup depth and immediate projection at the wire. Often it is advised to order one cup size down and sometimes one band up in Gorsenia as they run very deep/large in the cup and tight in the band. I used to order 65K in Gorsenia and it would fit me well, but I have lost weight and I find 65J fits me perfectly, maybe a little loose in the band, but not a lot. The 65 band fits more like a 60.

Details: This bra is a very, very pale silvery pink with some silver thread embroidery on the mesh part of the cup. This bra matches my pale skin tone very well and is almost invisible under light coloured shirts on me. I bought it last year, and have lost weight since so it no longer fits me very well in the cups, but I like it enough to order it again in the next size down (65J) which seems to be a perfect fit in Gorsenia for me now.
When I wear it now the straps cling on to the edge of my shoulders (haven't fallen off though!), the gore is very bitey, and the cups wrinkle around the edges, as you can see in my pictures. This is because it is now the wrong size though, not a shape mismatch, and no reflection on the quality of the bra.

That shade looks amazing on you! Gorsenia was one of my favorite brands. Haven’t purchased from them in a long while. I’ll have to check them out again. Thanks for the review. :)

    • 2

Happy2BraShop check out misterna.pl for their Gorsenia selection, they have all the newest ones. If you’re not in the BBC EU you can email them to ask if they’ll ship to your country. jagna.pl also has a good selection!

Rehmania Awesome. Thanks for the info. I’ll check it out. :)

    • Thanks for the review! Looks like it might be a perfect brand for me as I'm narrow, projected and fuller on top and centre. The sizing info is so helpful! I've been staying away because I thought they don't make 28 bands. Looks like their 65 bands could work for me.

This is my best fitting bra to-date. In the picture there is a bit of wrinkling, but after I adjusted the straps that went away.
I really love this bra, I ended up with two of them by accident, but that is ok because I wear this bra all the time. It gives a nice shape, it's pretty and it's comfortable.

I love this bra. It has lots of space at the wire without a pointy or high apex. I would say it has a rounder shape overall. The wires are narrow and the cups are fairly tall and deep. ... The wires are a UU shape and are pretty stiff.

A bit about me: I have tall roots and am functionally FOT; low-set; close set and centre-full; narrow root; shallow with depth needed at the wire but little apex fullness; self supporting. The Gorsenia shape is a perfect match for me.

This bra is very comfy despite the gore being a little higher than most bras I like. The power mesh is firm and not stretchy at all, it doesn't feel soft, per se, but it isn't scratchy, and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

That's a really pretty bra! Good that you have two! Love the eyelash lace.

Considering you're close set and center full, does the gore bother you at all?

      Wondering if it would work on me (;

    • 2

I got this bra recently too! It’s brilliant (fit and appearance) and is one of my go-to bras now :)

bubblegum the gore bothered me a little the first time I wore it, but it hasn't since. It's pretty narrow, being only 2cm it's only as wide as the wire channels through almost all the the vertical wire curve. It doesn't flare out at the gore to separate the cups until the bottom.

    • bubblegum I have one in 70L if you're serious!

    • prokaryolysis Thanks!! Would definitely be interested but sadly that size/measurements looks to large for me!

      Rehmania thanks, that's helpful info!
Gore still does look a bit taller than my preference, but if it's narrow enough it might be okay.

I ordered this before learning that Viviane has a little more depth in the cups than the typical Gorsenia. I have a lot of gaping in the lace. However, I probably would have ordered this size anyway because the rest of the cup fits fine and I need a lot of depth at the wire. Loose lace is a common issue for me if the bottom of the cup fits right. I love the opulent look to this bra. There's embroidery in the lace, cup, and straps, a light peach or tan with blue - it's really pretty. The blue thread is sparkly. The cup is completely sheer and a bit scratchier than typical Gorsenias. It reminds me of Curvy Kate's Florence material.

  4. Cheri Soft Underwire Bra (K221)

I have a new favorite brand; Gorsenia is great! Narrower gore than UK's, gorgeous detailing, nice round silhouette, no east-west. The wires are not too wide and neither are the straps on my shoulders. I get tired of adjusting wide set bra straps all day! Cheri seems to run the smallest in the cup of the Gorsenias I've tried. It has a slight minimizing effect under clothes and I'm okay with that. A lot of thought goes into the appearance of these bras, making them look luxurious. Cheri has black lace with silver and burgundy embroidery. This embroidery is carried across the gore and also at the lower point of the strap where it meets the cup. Lovely! It also has great support. I normally have a problem looking wide from the front - east-west comes naturally to me because of wide roots. Cheri pulls in the sides. I think this is the first bra my arms didn't constantly rub the cup.

  5. Lilli-rose Soft Underwire Bra (K237)

This is the most beautiful bra I've ever owned. I'd been uncertain of Gorsenia because I didn't know about their sizing. It seems they run big in the cups as it's a size smaller than I usually get in other brands. This one is a full cup. It has gorgeous lace with matching embroidery that runs down the strap onto the cup. It has plenty of projection at the wire. It is not stretch lace at the top of the cup but it's designed for upper fullness. The wires are narrower than UK brands, which I appreciate, but this one doesn't seem as narrow as Gaia wires for comparison. The material is very soft, gives a flattering round silhouette, but the wires are really squeaky.

I was so excited to get this bra because I love Gorsenia and really needed a neutral colored bra for under white shirts. Unfortunately, this wasn't it. Eva seems to run small. The bottom of the cups were so tight that I had massive wrinkling and a weird torpedo shape - perhaps this is a shallow Gorsenia? The fabric is stiff and unforgiving. I'd gotten used to the satiny, luxurious feel of Gorsenia, but Eva is more utilitarian in the fabric. The lace is pretty and the embroidery flows from the top of the cup over the gore. Yet, of all the Gorsenias I've tried (this is my fourth), this one lacks the opulence and detail I've found in the other styles. I also found the band tighter than their other styles.

    Didn't fit

I took a chance on this bra and it really surprised me. I won't say it's perfect - it's certainly not, but very wearable, and I think a good enough deal for the $30 I spent on it.

My shape: Full on bottom and in the middle, projected, soft tissue, narrow root, loss of volume, a little close set, with a curved breastbone which causes splayed breasts and a somewhat projected sternum . I teeter between a 30H and 30GG (28HH-ish in Freya and stretchy bands). Bras always sit a little lower than they should on me, partially because of the projection, mostly because the curvature of my ... chest means my underbust sits on an angle, leaving a bit of sliding inevitable.

The band: FIRM. It strikes me as similar to the Fantasie bras I've tried in terms of firmness, and may actually be even a little firmer. I'm between a 28 and 30 back (I measure around 29 inches), and the 65 band feels pretty good out of the box, but probably fits closer to a 28 band than a 30. If you're between sizes, you definitely want a larger band.

The Cups: Definitely more suitable for FOB than FOT. The top of the cup is fairly tight. The bottom I wish was a little more projected, but is still wearable the way it is. This is definitely a fuller cup, and the cup shape reminds me a bit of fantasie's three part balcony bras - it's a lot of bra, but still pretty comfortable overall. It was fine in the front with a tank top for me, but a bit higher on the side - definitely will show under a sleeveless shirt. The cups cut in very slightly along the top of my bust, but not enough to be visible when clothed, and this is a common problem for me with full cups in general.
The shape they give is pointy. It's not necessarily horrible pointy, but it's definitely noticeably pointy in profile. Not my favorite look at all - I prefer a nice round profile, but I've seen worse.

The Wires: slightly narrower than my Cleo Lucy - so the width suits me fairly well. They come up pretty high in the center, but not so high that I'd worry about them showing through anything but a particularly low cut top. This is not a cleavage bra by any stretch of the imagination, though. The center gore comes up pretty high, and the wires are pretty high under the arms, too. I'm only 5'4 though, and I don't find them so high that I'm getting poked, or anything - just high enough that it's probably not the bra to go sleeveless with.

The Straps: The straps are positioned well, and fully adjustable, but since the wires - and as a result, the cups - come up so high, the side of the cup does dig a bit into my armpit. This is a typical complaint with full cup bras for me, so if full cups don't usually bother you, this one probably won't either.

Sizing: tight in the band, big in the cup - according to the listing, a 65K is the equivalent of (US 30J/UK30GG). I'm between a UK GG and H, and an H would definitely have been too big, so if you're between band sizes, you'll want the larger, between cup sizes, you'll want the smaller unless you're particularly FOT. Sister sizing is probably the way to go, but I think it fits pretty similar to Fantasie (the few times I've tried the brand - I'm more of a Cleo girl), so if you wear a lot of Fantasie full cups, your Fantasie size might be just about right.

The looks: This is where Gorsenia shines over UK full cups, I think. This bra has style. It's just pretty - the floral detailing, that dash of color in the flowers and along the lace upper section, the flower embroidery trailing down onto the gore- it's a very simple, but elegant looking bra.

My final verdict: It's a pretty decent bra for the price. I like the firm band, and the look of the bra. The wires are long, but comfortable and supportive. There's definitely attention given to the finer aspects of design, so even if the cut is a bit matronly, you don't feel like you're wearing your grandmother's bra. The straps are fully adjustable, and comfortable.
On the down side, there's a lot of cup, and I wish it was a little looser on the top. If you're buying this bra because Polish bras are supposed to have narrow wires, you'll be disappointed, they're only marginally smaller than the Cleo Lucy. A true FOB would probably do very well in this bra, but my middle fullness means I'm probably going to be tweaking the gore a bit and give myself a bit more room in the center of the bra. The gore, however, is not impossibly wide, just a little wider than I'm strictly happy with.
It's pretty supportive - even with the straps quite loose my boobs stay pretty much in the same place, which is rare.
If you have the right shape for it, it's not the best bra you can buy, but it's a good option in a lower price range. But, it is not a bra that's going to be forgiving to every shape.

The pointy profile kind of kills it, but I wonder if this is perhaps just an FOB trait - a lot of bras give me this look.

After a full day of about 11 hours, the bra was still comfortable.

    Hasn't set fit

    Soleil 65K

I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Soleil is a pale yellow unpadded balcony bra. This particular model, as well as the Viviane model, runs very large in the cup. So far of the Gorsenia bras I have tried, these two models (same style) run about two cups larger than Gorsenia’s other models, if I was to guess. As this was the first Gorsenia bra I tried, it really threw me for a loop with understanding EU sizing, which ultimately led me into an expensive buying binge trying to wrap my ... head around the EU/Polish bras and sizing.

The band measured 24.5” to a max of 32”, with 3 hooks and 3 sets of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14.25”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

To compare this 65K to Gorsenia’s other unpadded balcony bras I’ve tried, Attina 65L (11.75” to 14.25”), Mistyrose 65M (12.75” to 14.5”), Aida 65M(12.5” to 15”) and Attina 65M (12.5” to 15”) it is clear that Soleil runs larger, and closer to the 65M size of Gorsenia’s other models.

So when looking for a Gorsenia bra, keep in mind that certain models can and do run large. So far, I found that Soleil and Viviane both run the same, and are the same style, while the rest ran smaller.
