I first bought this bra in the black colourway and didn't actually think I'd like it in white. Boy was I wrong. The pink flowers are so vibrant and contrasts with the light grey line pattern on a soft white base. I love white bras, but they truly are impractical. Can’t wear them under dark clothing, and you can’t wear them under white shirts. Despite this, every detail of this bra makes me fall in love with it every time I see it peeking out from my bra drawer.
Pretties: - the flowery cup pattern continues up the straps so that the straps look cute peeking out beneath tank ...tops - there's soft lace detailing on the side panel which is see through! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_surprised.gif" alt=":O" /> - it's a longline without the pokey boning which makes it very comfortable like wearing a normal bra with a few extra hooks - the back is plain and sheer which looks very romantic - the cups are smooth to the touch and won’t snag or pill, similar to my Freya Piper Longline
But fit-wise, it's at the very least one cup too small. You can see from my pics that the cups being too shallow in this size, are pushed away from my chest wall resulting in the wires siting on my boobs and making a cute little indent. It doesn’t hurt at all, but it could just be my blind love for this bra that’s remedied the pain.
I get a decent round shape under clothing and under medium thickness clothing, the quadboob goes undetected. The most important thing about this bra is that it makes me feel pretty while comfortable. That scores the highest marks in my books.
I just "discovered" my real size about two weeks ago and this is one of the first bras I've bought using those measurements. I measure in at a 28E, but those are hard to find, and at Nordstrom Rack, I gave the 30E a shot. It fits! I am a 30e, at least in this style. The underwires go further back on the sides of my torso than I'm used to, but I think this is a product of cups that fit me. The cups are all filled out perfectly top and bottom so I guess this is the right size.
Update: Feb 2016. Now that I'm better versed in what fits, I can see that the wires are you wide on this. I do fill out the cups just fine otherwise. I'm putting it up for swap.
EDIT: Now too big and far too shallow, with a poke-y gore all of a sudden.
Definitely too shallow for me with the cups bordering on too small/too closed, but I love how supportive it feels and I couldn't bring myself to let it go. I'll probably wear it under a gauzy shirt this summer because no one will judge the ill fit but me. I feel like the straps are too thick to wear as a everyday bra too (at least on me), so this won't end up being a staple in my bra wardrobe but I like that I finally own a longline that fits at least decently.
*Ok there's some 'golden oldies' in my bra collection - bras I was truly obsessed with, have hunted down like crazy and even if I don't wear them often, they are doomed to be mine.. Forever! XD*
Second of them is this Flourish longline: for me this was an instant 'OMG-must-have'. Really really love the bright tropical print https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> Stalked it untill it was on a discount. When I bought this (over a year ago?) it fit a bit better, I've gained some boobage since then. So now it's technically too small, but I still love it.
About the fit: ideally I would get this ...in 30GG/H - but it only goes up to G. So I had to get a 32 and unsurprisingly, the band is a bit large. Guess I would consider this bra true to size. As with all Freya padded halfcups, this is a wider and shallower style. Wires are a tad wide but since the cup is so snug / overfilled, it seems like the wires still encase my breast tissue. My main issue however is how the band flips up. Same as with my 32G - Fauve » Bronte Padded Longline Bra (0331) . Aesthetically I adore longlines, but for long days of wear they don't work great on me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Looks wise, I'm somewhat disappointed with the back band: it is completely unembellished, boring black mesh - what a shame on such a gorgeous bra! They could've at least added a panel of the floral fabric? Also the cut of the back + set of the straps are kind of strange, and not very flattering for back/shoulder chub. On a more recent clone, Freya Pansy Padded Longline Bra (1683) , they've committed the same crime - shame on you Freya! Pansy is still sort of hovering on my wishlist though https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
Because of the issues I had with this longline, I also got the balcony bra (review to come). Read more 235 more words
I want to love longline bras, but I still haven’t found one that stays in place - this one looks fantastic when I first put it on, but the band keeps flipping up and the front always ends up double folded within half an hour. I guess it would be less of a problem for someone with a really flat stomach and great posture...
The band is very loose and the cups are a bit too low cut for me. Looks good at first but my boobs spill out as soon as I move around.
I really like this bra, and find it very supportive due to it being a longline, despite the fact that Freya bras run a little big in the back.
I get very very slight quad boob on my bigger side (half a cup size if that), but definitelt one of my favourites for fit and sexy factor. I don't have any issues with rolling up. The only other possible negative is that the wires are relatively low under my arm.
Just got this, really happy with it right now, it's definitely the right size in terms of cup and band size. I would say that the underwires sometimes poke a bit under the arm and at the gore but I've been wearing it all day lately without discomfort aside from the occasional poke. Also it's kind of difficult to put on with the 5 hooks down the back but I can deal with that.
This bra (this size) is much too small. The band is very tight and the cup gives me considerable quad-boob. Also, why in the world are the straps so enormously wide on such a tiny and dainty, otherwise, bra??
Awesome bra. Comfortable, supportive, cute, amazing, overall just great. It used to fit better, but now it's too small. I quadboob out of the top and it's too narrow for me. It's shallow but not incredibly so.
This was actually the first bra I had ever received, and it fit really really well when I first got it. It was a tad too narrow, but didn't cause issues then. Now it causes issues because it's too small and too narrow.
