I was so excited to get my Ewa order this morning! This bra is beautiful! The printed satin is so soft and luxurious feeling. I wish it continued all the way around the back because the black mesh on the band is one of the things I don't like about this bra. It is very stretchy and also really itchy to me. I do also really like the lace on the tops of the cups and putting it on the gore too was a really nice touch.
As far as fit goes, its not my best. It seems to gap the same amount whether I have the cookies ...in or not so I think it may just not be the right shape for me, every other style I have tried seems to work better than the S, except for the hm which didn't fit me at all. I have the S Syrena in the same size so its hard not to compare the two. The porto has 0.4" shorter cups and the wires are 0.2" wider. The wings on the porto are 0.4" taller than the syrena. The band is also signifincantly smaller on the porto, but it is also much stretchier so it doesn't really feel like it. I think the porto gives a slightly more rounded, minimized shape than the syrena which has more of an uplifted peak. All in all, it's a beautiful bra but I think I am going to take a break from the S style for a while and avoid these stretchy bands. Read more 151 more words
Aw, I'm sorry it doesn't fit as well as you'd hoped. I will say that the colour looks great against your skin though-- you should definitely look into getting the BM!
It sounds like the bottom of the cup is too shallow for your breasts, which would be why the cookies don't change the fit, just push thr cups off the breasts instead. If you like the look, yoy could always order it as a PL or SF style. Kaska confirmed the SF is possible and _booknerd_ ordered it in the PL so we know that's a yes too.
The color is lovely on your skin for sure!
Thank you dark red and light blue are my favorite colors so I would love to have a Porto that fits perfectly! I've emailed Kaska and asked her about making a S Porto or S Zielony Pieprzy made into a PL so here's hoping!
finally got around to ordering the plm in another size. the first one i ordered was very obviously too small in the cup and too large in the band but i kept it anyway because of how comfortable it was. went down two bandsizes when one would've been enough (the 85 band isn't nearly as stretchy as the 95), and up a cup (so 95dd to 85ff). i'm not sure if i should've gone up two cupsizes because i still get a bit of overspill in the stretchy part of the cup (it looks a bit like (minor) quadding through clothes, especially since my nipples end up in the stretchy part) but i'm not sure if it's actually too small or if it's just from having soft tissue. apart from that it seems to fit fairly well.
misaligneddesk How does this fit compared to the other EW bras you have? I have always preferred the PL styles, but have trouble getting the gores to tack. I'm wondering if this might fix that. Do you feel like it allows for the same amount of center projection as her other styles?
mtblankus i've not tried the pl style yet so can't compare to that specifically but i'd say it's fairly close although probably/possibly slightly shallower and wider than their narrowest styles. for reference bm is a little too projected and narrow for me while sf isn't (but the gores on both are too high for me). i'm very close set and this is the only bra i've tried so far that really works.
also, the bm-based plms (antonina, malena and probably dust though i haven't tried that one) seems to give noticeably more lift and are more projected than le noir which i'm assuming is based on their basic black sf.
I am in love with this bra and what it does to enhance not only my breasts, but my decolletage, too! It comes with 5 skinny little straps of different lengths you can attach to the loops and goring, creating different designs, and experimenting with them has been fun. Looks great without them, too! Who doesn't love a bra with lots of wear options?!? So far this reverse pentagram look is my favorite! I love the fit of this bra so much that I am considering buying a second one to use as a swim suit top.
Sister sized from my usual 80G because Kaska told me the band was tight and she was correct. Fits similarly to the S Mojito. It is VERY neon, which I love, but worth being aware of. I'm really glad I grabbed this one before she stops making it.
I would estimate that this is similar to a UK 36G. Compared to other CHPs I've tried, it runs tighter in the band and bigger (taller) in the cups. While the bigger cups don't cause any pain or unsightly wrinkles, I don't get the typical padded halfcup effect of pushing up and to the front.
The triangle that attaches the straps to the cups (see detail photo) is a little uncomfortable when it rubs on your skin.
A lot is good about this bra. Most noticeably is how unbelievably gorgeous this thing is. I know I say that about practically every bra I get, but I really mean it. Also, I'm easy to please. Not the point. The fabric on the inside of the cups is lovely and soft, the straps are pleasantly wide but not frumpy looking, and the hooks and eyes seem really solid. It's a great bra!
There's only a few bad things. Firstly, the cups seem to droop below the underwire ever so slightly, and apparently that's bad. I've had that problem with my old bras before I was converted, but I ...had no idea that was a problem. I just thought it was par for the course because my boobs are so heavy. Turns out, no, it's an indication of a fit problem, though I can't seem to remember what exactly that indicates. The top of the gore tries to stab me in certain positions. At first, I thought it was only when I was doing some weird gymnastics, but I'm noticing it in somewhat normal situations now. It's not constant, and I don't know the cause exactly. I just adjust it until the pain goes away and I'm fine again, and now I've stuck a cottonball in there to see if it's maybe a matter of breaking it in.
The gore seems REALLY low for a higher cup size, but it keeps my boobs pleasantly separated so that's not really a negative. More of an observation. And it is a plunge, after all.
I'll also be posting pictures and a fit request soon to nut out more specifics of what is good and bad. I just have to wait for the hubster to get home and help me take pictures. Read more 188 more words
