    Another swing and a miss!

The 80HH Plunge style was too small, and the 80JJ seems to be too big. Could this be a Goldilocks moment, or am I just not suited for the padded styles? (Spoiler alert: it’s probably the latter!)

I’m not a fan of beige. It’s so boring and not flattering, IMO. (No judgment of anyone who wears and likes beige bras, they’re just not my favorite!) the fabric is smooth and a little stretchy, like satin or nylon. The inside of the cups are a little itchy to me, but not unbearable.

Now to the fit problems...honestly the only good part of this fitting experience was ... that the band was comfortable. The cups are either too big or a shape mismatch, as shown by the massive gaping, the wrinkling, the buckling, and the lovely floating gore. The straps are stretchy and adjust okay. I may have been able to tighten then just a bit more, but they’d probably be too tight at that point. I did not wear this enough to get a great gauge of the strap distance, but it didn’t seem like it would have been a problem.

I wish Ewa Michalak bras worked out for me; they’re so pretty! I’m super sad that I probably can’t wear the super sexy padded versions, but I’ll give an 80J a try next and that will confirm for me if it’s just not for me.

    Womp womp.

Bummer. I generally have a hard time with padded bras as well, and the Ewa SF isn’t quite right, but the Ewa BM cut is my jam. I have been hesitant to try any padded Ewas because I suspect I’d have similar fit issues to what you’re experiencing.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review!

    • 1

Yeah I’m still trying to figure out my size in both BM and PL and it’s not working out so well. I don’t think my shape suits the padded styles for sure. I’m perplexed with the BMs because I tried an 80J that seemed to big, but the 80HH was significantly small. They were different lines so I don’t know if that had something to do with it. I’ve always read that Ewa Michalak bras are supposed to be more consistent because they’re handmade, but I’m finding the opposite.

I love this bra. It’s the best fit I think I’ve ever accomplished in an Ewa Michalak bra, which is saying something! This bra is straight from Poland and the Ewa Michalak website. It surprisingly didn’t take very long to be manufactured and delivered. Maybe 2-3 weeks, tops.

The bra itself is made of mesh and is very sheer. I like it sheer, I had a Fantasie bra when I was a smaller size (Sienna Vertical Seam) that I loved because of the sheerness. It made it totally sexy. This bra is pretty sexy too and would be a fun little secret to wear out and about for ... sure!

It’s very comfortable. The gore tacks well, pretty firm. The band is snug but comfortable. The wires are probably pretty close to perfect on the sides, although the inside sides of the wire (the gore, etc) are probably a little too close together there. I do have some empty space between the wire at the chest and my boobs, which you can’t see in the pictures as well but can see in person. This is how EM bras fit me, and I don’t see that changing. The gore is almost too narrow on all EM bras for me!

The straps are pretty nice as well, they’re skinnier straps than what I’m used to but they’re functional. The adjust to decent lengths for me and my short torso.

The cups are 4 part, I think, with 2 vertical seams to give lift. The top of the cups are adorned with flowers, I think they may be considered embroidery, but I'm not 100% sure.

Overall, I love this bra, I love the look and I love the comfort, the only qualm I have is that it may actually be a size too big? I’m trying to lose weight right now and I’ve started going to the gym, so im worried that sooner rather than later this bra will be way too large in the cups. The top of the cups loosely sit flush, and you can see some wrinkling by where the straps meet the cups. There’s about a finger’s worth of space between the wire and my IMF at the bottom of the cup. The cup is also very deep (15.3 inches!!!)

Looks flawless on you! If you’re planning to lose some weight, and totally in love with this bra, maybe purchase a cup size down and keep it for when you need it.

It looks like a good fit! I think If you’re happy with it, then keep it, it looks lovely on you

This looks absolutely fantastic on you! Good luck with the gym and weight loss. A down side is probably the fact you'll go down cup sizes as you lose the weight.

I can't decide on whether this is truly ABTF. Or, it fits, sure, but is it comfortable and wearable?

The first thing I'll say is that this bra compensates for both my center-fullness and asymmetry perfectly. My breasts are not held entirely separate by the gore, but instead naturally come together around the gore. It's a concept I never would have come around to without the invaluable advice of Jaimie at Bra Obsessed (yes, a plug, but an incredibly well deserved one). Both the cookie pads and the smoothing that a padded cup provides make my breasts look pretty dang even. I usually wear it with the pad ... in the cup for my smaller breast only.

Initially, the band was almost too tight. I like a really tight band, but I constantly have to watch out for damaging the hooks from too much tension. I'm mostly wearing it on the second or third row of hooks.

The straps. Ah, the straps. They're unbelievably wide. I know, I know, close set straps affect fit - but seriously. I'm at a point where I don't care what kind of shape a bra gives me as long as it fits. The straps appear to be of good construction, but the tend to flop over (outward) on my shoulders in a way that's reminiscent of the crappy straps on my 34J Curvy Kate bras (I like a lot of things about Curvy Kate bras, but the straps are just not scaled appropriately for larger cup sizes). They're also awkwardly short. I'm a person who always complains about bra straps being too LONG, but I have to wear these straps quite loosely to keep them from murdering my shoulders.

As a consequence of the straps, I've been playing around with band tightness. I think I finally found a happy medium the other day with looseish straps and the third row of hooks, but after about ten hours I was still ready to get it the hell off me.

I don't get a ton of boobs-to-chin level lift from this bra, but there's some and it does give me the rounded bouncy shelf of boob goodness you'd expect from an EM S bra.

Stunning bra! Absolutly gorgeous! Nice dark green lace with black underlaymend love the magenta bow https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />. Fit wise I'm not sure gore doesn't tack and lace cuts in slightly (but no quadboob or anything unwearable). Matching panties are true to size. My pictures do not do this bra any good, its much more beautiful in person. Only weird how the black tule looks a bit frayed and shows from under lace.

    • Oddly the BMs seem to vary in depth. I am also around a JJ and very uneven and I'm never sure if I should go up another cup or down another lol. but . . you might try a K next time? Idk

    • I tried the BM Scarlet and the Gwiezdny Pył in the 85J and 85HH size, i was hoping that the JJ would be more roomy in the cups but they don't have that in 85 band.....also no K cups in BM. I have a FB on order to see how that will work... Is there much difference in the fitting of your Fuksja and your Perla dbmamaz ?
I must say I like the S style very much for softness and comfort in the cups, the Plunge makes me fall out in the center :( So not so sure where to go from here in my brafitting experience, I tried an 90K in s style but that was way too big in band and cups...weird...

    • Its hard to say if there's a difference because the Fuksja is 2 cup sizes larger. I THINK the fuksja is slightly shallower, but i'm not sure.

I recently bought a different BM but the band is way too small! I need to take pics and measurements and figure out if I can wear it. But it seemed (on quick first try) but be better immediate projection than the fuksja its an older model I bought during their clearance sale.

Pictures and measurements incoming but OH MY GOD. This bra is gorgeous. I love the stretch mesh across the top as opposed to stretch lace. The base fabric is sturdy but strong. The 4 part cup gives me such a great shape and it has depth that has been hard to find anywhere else. It’s fits like a dream. I’m a bit disappointed I waited so long to go polish LOL.

I usually wear 36J/JJ in panache. (Marcie and jasmine are my go-tos, used to love lily and Kayla too 😢) I did a direct conversion to 80JJ and the fit is glorious. I can clasp it on the outermost hook without an extender, though It is a bit tight (probably due to pregnancy lol) so I prefer to wear an extender anyway. A much better fit over all in the band and the cups than the 80N nessas I also tried this week

Overall good fit. Ordering (and waiting) for an Ewa was a bit daunting. I wish now I'd just taken the leap of faith from the start. This woman knows how to make a BRA!!! I went round and round about band and cup size FOREVER. I ended up ordering this in an 80JJ (36JJ) because of reviews I read. I'm on a weight loss journey and I figured I could wear an extender until it stretched out and I lost a little more weight. I think that was the right choice for this bra. The band is stretchier than the ... Karmelki 80K, although the stretched band measurements are the same. This unstretched band is 2" smaller than the Karmelki unstretched band.

I have tightened the straps slightly since I took these pics. They do tend to fall down and I think part of that is the extender making the strap attachment on the back wider and thus too wide. LOVE the straps. While they don't adjust all of the way, they feel soooo comfy. The front half are made from the same soft material as the rest of the bra instead of elastic all of the way and are just such a lovely relief from the sharp edges of elastic straps. I didn't realize how uncomfortable other straps were until I had these on!

The lower elastic on the band is TOO THIN. I compared it to the Karmelki and it's about 1/8 inch smaller in width. This is NOT a good thing. When the bra is on, the elastic tends to cut in, where it doesn't on the Karmelki. I have to wear this with the top 2 hooks 1 row tighter than the bottom hook to get better support from the band without the elastic cutting in. Also, it tends to roll under and cut in under the cups, which is a problem I have with most bras. I have a homemade bra liner to deal with that. I think it is partially due to being fat. There is pudge that starts directly under the band, where it is cutting in. Perhaps weight loss will help that.

The cups. Aaaaaah. Warm. Soft. Huggy (like some others have reported). Love it. Will probably hate it in the summertime heat when we often have temps of 110 degrees. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" /> I'm not a big fan of seamed bras, but the seams don't show too badly under a shirt.

The shape is nice. Lifted, round, forward - though it seems not quite as forward as the Panache Jasmine or Cleo Meg.

The bra seems very supportive, doesn't seem to slip down too far or fold in the bottom of the cups (at least not yet.

This is not a cute or beautiful bra. More utilitarian looking, but WAY COMFORTABLE.

I hope it will still fit when I've lost another 15-20 pounds. I have no hopes that it will still fit when I reach my goal weight (I have a good 50-60 pounds to be lost).

I had to order something else with my SF Faworyta because the minimum order requirement is absurdly high so I got this bra in 80JJ also.

First of all, this bra seems incredibly poorly made. I was trying to clasp the bra and it sounded like I ripped like 10 seams! Same when I scooped and swooped and just generally tried it on. It was terrifying!! I didn't see any seams ripped or damaged but the sound... the horror!

You'd think SF bras would fit about the same but this fits differently from Faworyta. The gore doesn't tack and I have some empty fabric in the top of the cups. ... I also get significant wrinkling near the gore. This bra is too big for me but not worth trying in a smaller size, because the quality is soooo poor.

The bra itself, it's not as softly lined as Faworyta, it's a bit scratchier material. There is stretch in the top of the cups which is nice.

The straps on this bra feels a little better but they are still too short overall. The band is more snug than Faworyta and I was so scared I'd break it because of the sounds. I did have to try this with an extender on. The wires feel weak and I do not feel anywhere as supported in this bra. The wires are really soft and bendy on the sides it's kinda weird.

The PL version of this Dot bra I tried last time didn't have any of these quality issues so I'm not sure what happened here or if I somehow got a dud.

    • Oh no--- sorry you had such a bad experience with this. And that it felt so cheap esp. for the price tag!
Btw this one reminds me of Bravissimo Lottie bra.

    • I think I’ve heard other people say black bras sometimes fit different because if the dye process??? The stitches popping could be part of the fit issue not just the quality.

    • 1

Ugh sorry you had problems! I had a similar sizing issue with the 80JJ - Ewa Michalak » Sf Szaron Bra (1284) and decided not to try a size down because I wasn’t a fan of the material. It’s too bad because EM bras are talked so highly of in the lingerie community, but I never found a good fit!

My shape is: short and narrow roots, close set, projected, firm tissue. I'm even shape but functionally a bit FoB because of my short roots.

I don't know if this is how it's supposed to fit "properly" since a lot of the time I get the wrong shape it's supposed to give me and all that but it definitely feels like it fits. I'd wear this. But there is some negatives which I will get into and why I won't keep this bra because of that.

If you want a little more detailed review of the bra itself you can check out my other review here https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dn73i/ .

So ... first, 80J was too small, gore didn't tack. But the bra felt nice, I even said "I love this bra"! So, up we go to 80JJ. The gore tacks! But I have slight wrinkles near the wire, as well as a bit of empty wrinkles on my smaller boob. You can kinda see the shape difference in my 2 sideway-pictures lol. https://i.imgur.com/Qp8pMIe.jpg I made a side by side. It looks like i'm wearing 2 different sizes haha. but I don't mind that, if it means I'm comfortable... unfortunately, I am not. For some reason the underwire on this isn't as comfy as it was on the 80J. And again I have issue with the straps being far too short, they really dig in. I'm not gonna spend over 60 euro on a bra with such a stupid issue. It makes me really angry that Ewa makes such short straps!! There is really no reason for this. So because of the straps constantly being an issue I just won't try more Ewa bras unless they specifically adress that they will make them longer..

The bra feels great, luxurious, it's very pretty, well made. Decent comfort if I overlook the straps. The wire is nowhere near as bad as other brands I've tried, but it's still uncomfortable enough that it's a no for me. If the bra was like 20 euro I'd let it slide lol but for a big expensive bra, it better feel like I'm wrapped in a silk cocoon not a harness.

The band is snug and fits me basically perfectly snug, and I wear 34 bands normally.

I think if you normally fit well into SF cuts and like those bras, you will like this. It is a lovely bra and it feels incredibly supportive and lifting.

Do you stretch the upper stretch lace? If it just lays flat like normal fabric would do, then the bra is too large even if it doesn't look like. <- I repeat here stuff I was told when I tried EM bras - with those stretchy lace bras you supposed to size down if you have large soft breasts even says so on EM website.
It's a shame about the straps- I mean they are fully adjustable why not add few cms?

    • Yeah it probably is too big, at least on my one boob. It but because of my short roots I don't stretch a lot in the top cup and I didn't in 80J either, but there it was no wrinkling. But big or not, it still technically fits better than the 80J because of the gore. I also think, sure if Ewa bras are meant to fit a certain way, but you could get away with it if it's comfy regardless I think :P Because I still felt super supported.

But, this is also too tall for me I think, as is the Dot , and I clearly do not have the shape for these bras since I lack any upper fullness , so the bra always gaps near the straps.

Anyway no more EM for me since I'm not the target customer, even though I've got narrow roots, I've got nothing else they want me to have :(

What did you learn from this bra?
This is my first Ewa Michalak bra and first Polish bra. The fit is REALLY GOOD for a first attempt. I need to go up a cup size in this style, I'm getting a bit of quad boob on my larger side.

    What's good about this bra?
The underwires fit my roots so much better than my Fantastie Illusion bras. The sheer lace is really sexy. The lift and projection is incredible. I feel very 'strapped in', in a good way.

    Does it poke, comfortable?
The straps are a little wide for me (a common issue). I should go up a cup size in this style. The lace / mesh is a little itchy - but I am also extremely sensitive with bra fabric.

    Did it stretch out?
I have it fitted on the tightest hook because it is used; the band fit is pretty good. Need to experiment with band sizes. 80 new might be great, 75 might be better. So next attempt try an 80K or 75JJ.

So sad that I have to send this back, but it very obviously doesn’t fit. Hoping to try it in a 80J and see if that’s any better. The cups wrinkle so bad on the bottom; I can’t fill the top - the lace just sits there with a ton of room. The wires placement on the side fit so well, the best I’ve had with an EM bra so far. It’s super soft and comfortable.

  12. Sm Trefl (361)

+ Very rounded shape and good lift for a non-padded bra
+ Wires are considerably narrower than any other bra I own - see photos of Trefl 80JJ overlaid on 34JJ - Panache » Jasmine (6951)
+ Lower half of cup is 3 panels, all very flat seams for no-show under clothes.
+ Cups are a single layer of lace, unlined, so very lightweight but strong and supportive. The lace has a tiny bit of give but is essentially not stretchy.
+ Yoke is double layered, also not very stretchy so fits under bust firmly. Back is soft and quite stretchy. No bones in the side seams.
+ Straps are ... fully adjustable and do not seem to slip.
+ Center gore is narrow and not super high.

I first ordered this in a 75JJ. It is a tiny bit small in the cup (wires don't quite sit on my ribcage at the sides, cup doesn't quadboob, but only just), definitely too small in the back, and the strap width and cup height means I'll only wear it when I'm confident I can behave like a lady and don't need to be worrying about wobble. But with an extender I have worn and loved it.

I love the simplicity of the lace and the construction in general, and how lightweight it is. I'm not opposed to padded bras but I do feel like sometimes they put my boobs too close up under my chin, and you can't see it but I feel the bulk. I think my favourite thing about my 75JJ Trefl though is the low gore. It is the only bra I own that is truly plunge-like, that hugs each breast properly, tacks to my sternum and doesn't have to climb halfway to my collar bone to do so. I have lots of wrap dresses and with this bra I can wear them without pinning, flashing my bra or showing cleaveage (the 'my bra doesn't fit' 2D kind).

So I ordered the 80JJ, a bit bigger all over, and it's definitely the right size in the back. Not 100% on the cup though: hunching my shoulders creates some gape and there is a little space at the top. Also, the gore is a bit higher (1cm makes a noticeable difference) and the cups are significantly higher. I measured from the wire up the vertical seam in the middle of each cup and there is a 3-4cm difference in cup height between the 2 sizes. So not so great under my wrap dresses. Think I might try a 80J and see how I go.

That is one tight band. Compared to other Ewa models, that is. It actually measures spot on at 36. Imagine that. Since most 36 bands tend to stretch further than 36, I usually wear a 36 on my 37" torso. In comparison, the 80JJ - Ewa Michalak » Pl Stalówka (328) measured 36.25 when I got it and is now wearable without an extender, so it is likely this one would be wearable without the extender after a few wears.

The wire is too high under the arm for me. While it doesn't poke, it feels like this slowly ... pushes the cups down. I have the same problem in the Panache Jasmine. That extra half inch (over the Ewa PL models) is bra tragedy for me. It seems to push the cup down just enough that I start getting folding at the bottom of the cup.

The straps are super soft and comfy, which I adore, but do not adjust short enough for me. They are borderline too long now (adjusted as short as possible), but as the bra wears in, they will be too long. I have the same issue with the Stalowka straps and will need to alter them, an incredibly easy alteration.
