I can't decide on whether this is truly ABTF. Or, it fits, sure, but is it comfortable and wearable?
The first thing I'll say is that this bra compensates for both my center-fullness and asymmetry perfectly. My breasts are not held entirely separate by the gore, but instead naturally come together around the gore. It's a concept I never would have come around to without the invaluable advice of Jaimie at Bra Obsessed (yes, a plug, but an incredibly well deserved one). Both the cookie pads and the smoothing that a padded cup provides make my breasts look pretty dang even. I usually wear it with the pad ...in the cup for my smaller breast only.
Initially, the band was almost too tight. I like a really tight band, but I constantly have to watch out for damaging the hooks from too much tension. I'm mostly wearing it on the second or third row of hooks.
The straps. Ah, the straps. They're unbelievably wide. I know, I know, close set straps affect fit - but seriously. I'm at a point where I don't care what kind of shape a bra gives me as long as it fits. The straps appear to be of good construction, but the tend to flop over (outward) on my shoulders in a way that's reminiscent of the crappy straps on my 34J Curvy Kate bras (I like a lot of things about Curvy Kate bras, but the straps are just not scaled appropriately for larger cup sizes). They're also awkwardly short. I'm a person who always complains about bra straps being too LONG, but I have to wear these straps quite loosely to keep them from murdering my shoulders.
As a consequence of the straps, I've been playing around with band tightness. I think I finally found a happy medium the other day with looseish straps and the third row of hooks, but after about ten hours I was still ready to get it the hell off me.
I don't get a ton of boobs-to-chin level lift from this bra, but there's some and it does give me the rounded bouncy shelf of boob goodness you'd expect from an EM S bra. Read more 257 more words
I ordered this bra through Bra Obsessed. My usual EM size is a 75F, but since that was out of stock I decided to try the 75FF. Jaimie told me that the band runs tight on this one so it was possible that the cups also ran a little small. I have to say that I agree! The band is tight, but not uncomfortable and definitely not tight enough to size up. And the cups are also a bit smaller for a 75FF. The 75FF S Summer Time weirdly fits very similarly to my 75F S Syrena! Which is awesome because I love that bra. The main difference ...between the two is that 75FF S Summertime has a higher gore - it's 3" (my 75F S bras all seem to be around 2.5"). I don't mind the higher gore though. The Summertime also has 4 rows of 3 hooks. I do get the slightest bit of gapping without the cookies/pads, but it's not too bad at all. I'd rather have the tiniest bit of gapping than quad boob. I'm also really happy that it fits without the pads since I prefer to wear my EM bras that way. This is a really lovely, spruced up nude bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I'm guessing the flowers would show under thin, really light or white shirts, but I own mostly black and dark colored clothing so it's not a problem for me lol. In my (limited) experience with Ewa's S style bras, there seem to be 2 types; the ones like Glamour and Syrena that have lace over a satin cup edge, and the ones where the cup edge is a continuous piece of fabric like the Diament and this one. I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence, but so far the ones I've tried with the lace overlay seem to have a slightly taller cup than this type; it's just a little tougher to fill those and I need to use the pads. In this bra, I only need the pad on my smaller ...side (which is normal for me). I do have to wear the band on the 2nd or 3rd hooks already to provide adequate support, but that's not really a surprise to me as I am technically between a 70 and 75 band.
My only wish for this bra is that the lace flowers were a bit flatter so I could use it as a nude bra under thin shirts; the color is fine but the lace texture shows up! Overall it's a very comfortable and BEAUTIFUL bra. Read more 88 more words
Runs small in the cups (more like a UK 32FF than a 32G) and a wee bit small in the band, which is actually perfect for me since I vacillate between 30 and 32. Feels very comfortable on, and comes veeery close to creating true cleavage, which we all know is rare in well-fitting bras.
The appearance is beautiful, the lace lays fairly flat even fresh out of the box (thank you Bra Obsessed for your excellent packing job!), the wires are nicely narrow... I love this bra, and it fits me very well.
But... but! The shape. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Ewa Michalak's S cut creates more of a "pointy" shape than the round shape I personally prefer. (And I don't really understand the placement of the bow...? On both the model and me that bow gets kind of crushed because of how close this bra pulls the breasts together. It makes me think the bra doesn't quite fit as well as it seems to.)
