This bra is extremely supportive and very full coverage. After wearing 36DDD for years, I've finally found something that I can completely even forget I'm wearing. I've never tried anything comfier, and the only complaint that I have is that I can see the design on the top of the cups through any tight shirts.

If I had tried it on with a shirt over it, moved in it like I typically do, and adjusted the straps to where I would be wearing it. I would have noticed how it was digging into the underarm area of my smaller breast. If it was my appropriate size, I would for sure be comfortable. As is any article of clothing. If it fits, it's comfortable. I unfortunately cannot take it back to the boutique I purchased it at as I've worn it, removed the tags, and washed it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" />

  3. Caitlyn Underwire Side Support Bra (8030)

This... is actually a bra I can run in. No, seriously. It has boob-un-jiggling support for my size, which is what I asked for when I went bra shopping. I have an active job, and although I love pretty frilly bras, I needed something I could bend over in, haul heavy things in, and not have to worry about tipping out the top of my bra, or jiggling in a distracting way.

I do not consider this a pretty bra. It's utilitarian, and it fits really well. I'd say the band is a little snug, but not to the point where it's uncomfortable. I should note that I'm ... somewhat fat, and have very small ribs with squishy fat over them, so if you're very firm under the bust, and your measurement is ~35.5m you wouldn't need a 34 band size.

The one con with this, is that the centre gore, where the wires end, can become uncomfortable by the end of the day. If this bra was about 1/2" lower, it would be perfect. I don't know why the "how it fits" section says it doesn't fit. It does! While it's not my favourite bra, it is perfect for what I require day-to-day.

*NOTE! I have "back fat". I prefer my bras to cover it in the back, as resting on it is VERY uncomfortable, so you'll notice that the band is not perfectly level.

Okay the armpit is a non-issue in this bra. The wires are perfectly short enough for my extreme projection. The only issues I'm having are cup size? Is it too small for the larger breast? There's always the not fully filing up a foam bra or even a lace bra so I'm not super concerned with that. I'm concerned with fall out. The wire is a bit harsh for me, maybe because i really don't have any bodyfat right under my breasts, its really just a lot of ribs there so I'm concerned for that. I also tried a 34GG (UK)in this style and it was too small. So I think I might have an option to go for a 36 in the band but would I keep the cup volume or go up?

It looks too small and/or too shallow with the gore not tacking. I would say go up a cup size or two, but the width of the cup already looks too wide and it would probably get wider with a larger cup size. I can't tell from the photos, but the band doesn't seem to be too small. Going up a band size may sacrifice a lot of support. The wire may be harsh because it's not in your inframammary fold? It's hard to tell from photos. I've never had luck with spacer foam, it's comfortable but the material makes for a shallower cup.

    • 1

I never fill a cup so a shallow cup might be the best option. The gore tacking rarely happens and if it’s small enough it overlaps and doesn’t matter because it doesn’t stick out as hen I sit down and that doesn’t bother me. I’ve realized I have a very narrow frame for my breasts size and they are extremely close together when supported, so I I’m thinking short wires, molded light foam with intense projection.

    • 2

Not filling a cup could mean the bra is not meant for your shape, not that it's too big. It could be too small. The gore not tacking can be an indicator that you need a bigger cup. The cups could also be too wide, too tall, etc. When I wear a bra too wide I get poked by the wires and don't fill out the top of the cup and sometimes I feel like I'm being squished down/to the sides rather than forward for my projection. I haven't heard of a moulded bra that can support intense projection. Generally, moulded = shallow. I hope you are able to find one!

This is my first try of an Elomi bikini top. I am impressed with the quality and the support. It is made of very nice swimsuit material and the cups are double lined.
I tried unpadded Bikini tops in the past but they never felt supportive because the cups were made ouf of stretchy swimsuit material which could not give any shape to my boobs. This top is a structured as a bra and the fabric of the cups is not stretchy. I would say it supports like a regular bra. (If you like the Elomi Plunge bras, you'd like this Bikini top)

Now the size I choose is ... just too small for me. Even if you take into account that my fitting standards for Bikini are a bit lower than for bras. There is a lot of wrinkling on the bottom of the cups. It means the cup is too shallow there and I can't fill it. At the center I get overspill and quadboob. While it looks like I get nice cleavage, on the pic I took from underneath the bra you can see all the issues. The band fits well, I usually wear a 32 band but could get away with a 34 band on this. I'd say it runs true to size / even bit tight.
Some Elomi Bikini stop at H-cup and some go up to HH. I would definetly try a 34HH if I have the chance as it overall made a good impression on me.

The ballet color of this bra is so pretty! But, alas, this is an Elomi that has the elastic along the top of the cup which doesn't fit my shape. This one also seems a lot smaller in the cup than other Elomi styles (Matilda, Morgan). The top of the cup is really digging in more than Morgan. The fabric of this bra is very scratchy, also. Cups are wide and it seems more shallow than Matilda or Morgan.

  7. Kim Plunge Bra (4340)

This bra fits like a dream. I got it in another color (Black) and I'm so glad I found it. I thought the 36GG fit me the best, but the band on that is a bit too loose. It fits great when I'm on my cycle though, so that's nice (I was searching during my bloat period without realizing it, lul), but for the rest of the month, this is my everyday bra. My first test drive was a day at Universal Hollywood. It was a long day, on and off heat. The bra was comfortable the whole time. It's not the most breathable under super heat, but ... it will serve me well indoors and the short bits I'm outside. This is a copy pasta of the review for the other color of this same bra, since it fits exactly the same, but I want to post both of them. The pink one is so pretty. Oh man. I almost didn't measure this bra, but I haven't worn it outside of trying it on, so I thought the measurements were still valuable. They are slightly different than my other 34H Elomi Kim (black) that I measured. It might be due to the limited wear.

This is a bra that is so incredibly firm and supportive. I do not move a single inch when wearing this while running or exercising. It's so firm that I have a hard time getting my hand inside of it to scoop and swoop, and I feel the wire almost bruising my left rib. It has a weird seam going across the middle of the cup that kind of folds in at the apex, so it looks almost as if you have an inverted nipple of sorts. If I could get rid of the wrinkles at the apex, this bra would be almost everything.

I'm not crazy about this one. I have wide roots, but these wires are even a bit wide for me - more so than Panache, which fits me well. The side panels are too stiff, compared to the cup, and create a groove (at least with soft breast tissue like mine), and the overall shape is kind of droopy - it seems like the bra can't support the weight.

With an extender, this bra is the closest I've gotten to a perfect fit. It's very supportive. Without the extender, wearing this bra is an exercise in pain tolerance. I have a beige one and a black one in the same size that I bought at the same time several months ago. The black one is much worse than the beige one about cutting into my skin (again, without the extender). It would probably all be fine if I'd just bought both of them in a bigger band size and not let the bra fitting lady convince me otherwise. Ah well. (This review is for the black bra. I'll post one for the beige bra once I have taken pictures.)

Bought used and so it was broken in when I first wore it. It's material is very soft and comfortable. Lightly padded, molded cups that give you a round shape. It's very comfortable to wear and looks smooth under tees. This would make a great sleeping bra when it becomes too loose for daily ware. It gives a rounded shape that is closer to the body than the Elomi Caitlyn Underwire Side Support (8030) does. The top of the cup presses in slightly on the top of the breast and does need to be adjusted during the day. The gore fits reasonably well, lifting away slightly near ... the top. I have deep breasts and my bras do that if they are not very low gore or very high gore. I am still pretty new at figuring this stuff out, although I am 61. I was only fitted this month by a woman who was fairly good at it and actually stocked bras that might work for me so I had a few to try on to judge which worked best for the first time ever.

This bra looks great under tees and gives a lower profile than my other bras.

Good Points - this bra is very pretty, the pale but warm pink is such a good colour for me (a better nude than nude!), the straps are very comfy when correctly adjusted as the shape of the cup is full so the straps are not as wide as balconettes, this bra gives a good shape, as I have close set breasts the plunged wires do not dig in and can sit flat and due to the full cups, my full in the middle boobs maintain a slight separation and are kept in place.

the downside - my whole Leia fitting experience was a disappointment, the sales lady ... in particular (I wouldn't call her a fitter as there was very little fitting going on but a big sales push for bras that didn't fit). I was happy to find a bra that did all those good things above and had flitted from brand to brand and size to size in what she brought me - despite me asking for Freya and her poor fitting advice (you'll never find a gore that sits flat with your boobs, with your boobs you should scoop towards your armpit so it fits the bra!!!!!) that I didn't realise she had brought me a 34H. Her first words which gave me hope for the fitting were that I shouldn't be in the 34 I was wearing but a 32, however for a sale a 34 was fine! the band is too big and rides up. I measure 33 so can do 32 or 34 usually and my Bravissimo 34 don't ride up like this so I think this runs big in the band as well as wide in the cup ( the wires finish almost at my shoulder blades!!). As Elomi don't do 32 I cannot size down. I will however keep it for evening / occasion wear as it is good under lower cut dresses.

I usually like to start my reviews with a few facts about the bra. The Caitlin is a full-cup bra, with quite a lot of coverage. The cup is constructed from 4 parts, with 3 satiny pieces making up the bottom, and a triangle of mesh lace making the top part of the cup. It fastens with 3 rows of 3 columns of hooks.

I've said to myself that I'd wear a bra even if I hated how it looked if it was comfortable, and I feel like this may be putting me to the test. I think that both satin bras and mesh bras can look sophisticated and ... classy or sexy, but satin and mesh together to me says kind of frumpy. The very high coverage of the cups doesn't score any points when it comes to appearance either. I got the 'nude' colourway, which is a warm honeyish beige.

I measure less than 28" around snugly, so I'm clearly not the target for this band size, and it shows with how much the band rides up. The main reason for trying this is the full coverage cups which just aren't available in smaller band sizes. Basically any balcony cut bra I try cuts in slightly on the top unless it's far too large elsewhere, but the cups which are taller on the inside and the outside seem to fix this problem. Even Jasmine in 30K with its stretch lace cuts in on top, but at least unaltered, this seems to sit flat despite being two cup volumes smaller. The other positive with this design is that the straps seem to be more centred, so they are better positioned on my shoulders than most bras I've tried recently. I wouldn't mind the straps being a smidge closer together, but I can actually mark these as not being too far apart for once! The straps are quite sturdy and fully adjustable. The gore is quite wide and tall, but tacking gores is very hit and miss with me owing to my mild symmastia and very close-set breasts.

The cups are both too wide and tall for me, in the sense that there's quite a bit of space top and sides, but even so, the bra feels quite supportive.

Edit: I've taken in the band to a more appropriate length, and the cups are too small and much too wide for me, and will cut in if I scoop more than very lightly, but this bra is both supportive and comfortable. Especially thanks to adding an extra set of hooks (I have 6 rows on the back now), I can wear the bra all day without wanting to tear it off. I wouldn't mind trying a 34HH or 34J in the Caitlin, but this is quite wearable as is, and I'm not sure if sizing up would cause different fit issues. Not a bra I'd choose for a stunning shape or a lower cut outfit, but great for a busy day when you just want to be comfy. I'd like to try a full cup cut in something which has a narrower cup. I think that there's definitely a market for full cups in very large cup sizes even in smaller bands.

When purchased, this bra fit fairly well but the gore did not lie completely flat against the breastbone although this appeared as if it might be due to wire shape, because pushing the bra flat did not cause bulging on the top. The top scallop also stands away from the breast which makes it sometimes look a little big in the cup, but this is probably due to not much elastic. It is not as nice as the Elomi Cleo.

Within one month of purchase (after about 6 wearings), I noticed that the bra was very uncomfortable and required adjustment several times through the day. ... It felt as if the wire was being twisted within the channel, and the cloth of the channel wasn't lying flat. I also felt as though the wire near the armpit was being pulled out of shape. I would put on the bra, take it off, try to adjust the wire channel, and repeat the process five or more times. Finally I could not endure wearing it any more and retired it.

Note: I am writing this review in January, 2013, several months after the bra was purchased. I have given my initial review and fitting comments based on my notes about the fit of the bra near the time of purchase. Since the bra was purchased, my breasts have grown and the bra no longer fits properly. Below are my comments on the current state of the bra:

I no longer wear this bra.

This bra did not fit correctly when I bought it when I was a 34HH/J. I have not tried it since being a 32GG, but best guess is it won’t fit properly either. The cups in this one seem narrower/shallower than the 36H I have. (Obviously, since they’re not even sister sizes.)

I’ve since become a devout Panache Sport wearer, so this one will be going in the listings once I measure it.

I had tried this bra in 34J and 32K previously, so I was surprised this fit so well in a 34H! I think the wires are a bit wide, but they don’t poke me or bother me. I do have to finagle my boobs into this. If I scoop and swoop they quad a lot. I’m okay with just scooping so the wire is in my IMF. I think I have too much center fullness to swoop, because if I do then the gore doesn’t tack.
