    Fits

Over two years ago, I wrote, "Fit is lovely. I do prefer a bandless bra at this size/weight, but this is still quite comfortable. I like the multiway band, too. I can wear it all day without issue. As with most bras that have 3 part cups, the lines do show through on some fabrics. I would definitely buy this again. The shape is a nice middle-ground between round and pointy. It would be a great bra for someone who just found their true size and is used to the more round and a bit squashed look ... rel="nofollow">https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />. "

I still wear this - since I have 10-12 bras that fit, they tend to last quite awhile when I rotate them. But, I would not buy this again now. Time has changed my shape; my root is narrower and the wires on this are simply too wide. I thought this was on the Caitlyn frame, but the Caitlyn I have is narrower. It is still wider than I would like, but the Rita is truly wide. It still is very comfortable, however, I love the J hook (one of the only Elomis with long enough straps for me to use it) and the shape is decent, if not my favorite.

Bought this one on Ebay lightly used in a 34h. It didn't need to be broken in and the J hook in the back is comfortable when fastened to keep straps from showing. I have only worn it once so far and was pleased with the fit and overall comfort. I had first tried to buy a new one in my recently measured size of 34gg but when it arrived it was too tight and was actually painful on my sternum and ribs and so, I sent it back. Just sizing up the cup, with my Ebay purchase fixed those issues.

Pretty true purple in satin with mesh detail. The straps have a nice little pattern, and hook together for a racerback with a J hook. Band fits nicely, gore tacks, but the underwire is super far back! Not too tall, all clear under the arms, just too wide. The part of the cup that is on my boob is mostly filled, but there's a wrinkle on the seam and I don't think my nipples are where they're meant to be in the design. I think I will size down a cup the next time I try Elomi.

Not at all good for full-on-top boobs. Beautiful color and comfortable fabric. Had to return it.

The first perfectly fitting bra I've ever owned. I was almost in tears over it when I first put it on!

  6. Very comfortable and sits firmly on the ribcage, especially when clipping the straps together in the back. Doesn't dig in under the arms - YAY! Unfortunately, it's hard to find tops I can wear that don't show the straps when their clipped. Without them clipped, I have to shorten the straps or they fall down on my tiny sloping shoulders. The elastic tends to roll up a bit, although that may just be because I've had these for too long and worn the bejeebers out of them. Overall, though, it's the most comfortable bra I've had in a long time.

    Didn't fit

Edit: Ugh! I was trying to add this under My Bras, measurements for the data base and Fitting Help. I messed up somehow.

My breasts keep growing so it's time to buy new bras as my others are getting small in the cups. My old style (Fantasia Belle in 32J) has been discontinued so I'm looking for a new style and new size. I've been ordering on-line and returning what doesn't fit. This Elomi Rita is the only one of ~50 bras that I'm thinking about keeping because it's the only one that lays flat against my sternum and separates my large, close-set ... breasts (which is important to me as I get a rash if my breasts touch for long).

I love the look and feel of this bra (sturdy feeling material but doesn't feel so thick that it would be hot in summer). Unfortunately, I think the size or style may be wrong for me. (My rib measurement is 32 loose, 33 comfortably snug, ~34 loose. Bust is 45 inches. Upper bust is 40 inches.) In 34 band the band feels comfortably snug. (I like snug for good support.) I think 32 would be too tight. I am going to try 36 in my next order just to be sure 34 is what I need.

In the 34K, the wires are too wide and go too far back. When I first tired on the bra, the wires tipped in on my back and was slightly uncomfortable even after the scoop & swoop. There's a little extra fabric at the sides of my breasts even though without a bra I have a lot of breast tissue in that location. The band fabric where it meets the cup is too wide/tall for me and goes up into my armpit. I had to shorten the straps so much that the clip to convert the straps are now in front of my shoulders. (I'm 5' 4-1/2 inches and don't think I have a short torso but maybe I do?)

A few days later I tried it on again. In the mirror, I can see that the wire tips push into my flesh but I didn't feel it this time. I wore it comfortably for a few hours while sitting at the computer but not sure this is the right size for me. I'm going to try other band and cup sizes and hope I find the size that I need because this is a nice bra that comes in some beautiful colors.

While doing the stretched band measurement for this bra, I realized that stretching it from the relaxed length to 33" (my ribcage) distorts the wires. So maybe a 36" band would be better for a 33" ribcage.

    • When you have the bra on your body, the weight of your breasts should be pulling on the wires in the opposite direction, so in that sense the distortion might actually not be as bad as it seems.

    • Forgot to add: this, of course, does not mean that the wires may not be too wide for you or that a 36 band could not work ...

Pros: This bra fits very comfortably. The center gore lies flush amd doesn't dig in. The straps are comfortable and havent had to be adjusted all day. There areno obvious seams or wrinkles. My whole boob fits well in the cup after the scoop n swoop. Amd it's a very pretty hot pink and has some gorgeous scalloped detail towards the top of the cup where the satin gives way to sheer panels adding just a hint of (very) subtle sexiness.
Cons: These are more a matter of personal preference, but I like to wear tops that are cut lower than this bra will allow. It comes up very ... high on my chest , making it great and super comfy under t-shirts, sweaters, oranything wth a high neckline. Also, my boobs have no perkiness whatsoever on their own and this bra does not quite give me enough uplift. They are technically supported as they should be, just not as perky as I like. The bra, beimg a soft cup, also lends itself to more of a conical shape (though nowhere near a 50's bullet bra), whereas I prefer them more rounded. And maybe this is a byproduct of wearing the wrong size bra for years, but the underwires come about 2-3 inches further around my torso than I found necessary, which makes me look fat instead of fabulously big busted (I prefer to be able to scoop n swoop the side boob into the cup instead of having the cup swoop around the side boob).

Overall a great bra, just some personal preferences keep it from being a 10.

I bought the 40H Elomi Rita Multiway Banded Bra (8011) in Honey from Nordstrom Rack for $22.82 to enter its measurements into Bratabase. The color would be a good nude for someone about Jennifer Lopez's complexion. The straps have metal bits that allow them to be joined in back to form a racerback. The straps do not, however, detach either in front where they attach to the cups or in back where they attach to the band.

I'll offer a friend in this size range the chance to buy this from me at cost before I return it. I'm in the 30F range myself.

    jennypenny reviewing for my mom

The bra: Four part construction with side support. This bra has a petite cut - shorter gore, sides and more centered straps. Straps are wide, semi-stretch and include a j-hook.

The fit: While the petite cut of the bra was nice, especially when it came to strap placement, the shape of the cups was just not a good fit. These were too big and will be too deep, even in the correct size.
