This bra poked into me underneath my breasts, but once I bent the wires outward that problem went away. The support is more in the band than in the straps, and the bra is pretty. The side support is nice, but the band stretched - a lot. The first day, the 34" band was uncomfortably tight, but within a week I was on the tightest hook. It is now (after a couple of months) getting too lose. I alternate this bra with the panache Tango II, and this is less itchy.

  2. Ophelia Underwire Plunge Molded Foam Cup (8390)

I previously tried this bra in a 36FF, and the band was too big and the cup a little too small. I was bummed because I liked it and the shape it was hinting at. So, I sent it back and ordered it in two more sizes: 34G and 34GG. I'm so happy the 34GG fits. I love the plunge on this bra...maybe even better than the Freya Deco. You will probably need to go up one cup size in this particular Elomi bra because of the padding in it. It's quite substantial and is designed to push your breasts front and center, but it comes at the ... expense of space in the cup.

I'm also a big fan of bras with 3 hooks instead of two. They just seem to offer more stability and better support than 2-hook models. The 34GG has 3 hooks while the 34G has 2 hooks. I think this also helped make the 34GG a better fit for me. The Curvy Kate Tease Me bra has 3 hooks on the 34G, and it is one of the most comfortable bras I own.

Maybe, just maybe the ugliest bra that has ever encased my boobs! The Nude is that really ugly beigey/flesh colour, and it is just too much bra for me, I am very short-waisted and it overwhelms my torso. Everything about it is too big, it fits technically, I suppose but I don't fill out the top and the trim puckers when I sit down, I just find it a really unattractive bra, my first ELOMI and probably my last. It looks like a nun's bra.

  4. Libby Banded Bra (8370)

This bra fits better than most other bras I have. It doesn't ride up, but it does stretch a bit after the first day of wear, and I start the first day in the second column of hooks. It doesn't dig under the arms, which is a bonus. Most of the bras I've ever bought do.

UPDATED 1 WEEK LATER: So, now that I'm done with my period, this bra is less spectacular. I can't be the only woman whose breast get larger during that time. The band is now far too loose on this bra and I have some room in the tops of the cups and the sides. Oh well - maybe I can at least wear it during that time of the month!

This is another Elomi style which didn't work for me. It gave the dreaded quad-boob effect up top while still managing to gap on the sides, and the band was way too big. I wasn't really fond of the shape it was giving me, either, so I'm not even going to bother trying the 34G. It's a shame, because this is yet another pretty bra from Elomi.

This just shows you how different the styles of bra can be within the same brand! I have a couple of other Elomi bras in this size which fit relatively well, but on this one the cups were too big and the band too large (not even tight on the smallest hook). The straps were also not fully adjustable, and I had it on the shortest setting and still had some strap slippage. So, Elomi is not my brand when it comes to smooth t-shirt type bras.

This will also be going back to Bare Necessities. I'm so happy they have a great return policy!

This bra gives me pain to wear. I am beginning to suspect i got a faulty version (from ebay) as the underwires have bent into a sort of wavy shape, plus there is a lot of empty material in my underarm, but cutting in at the top of my breasts. I am just incompatible with the shape i think.

  9. Caitlyn Underwire Side Support Bra (8030)

Great support. It's not as firm on the sides as I would expect for a bra named "Side Support" but I do feel fully supported, there's no jiggle. The center front tacks perfectly flat to my breastbone.

The band fits pretty aggressively. The first time I wore this bra, the straps squeaked and it left some pretty serious welts under the band, on either side of my ribcage. It's gotten quieter and more comfortable since then, as everything stretches out a bit.

The wires seem to reach around towards the back of my ribs, but that is OK because my breasts are very full on the sides. They are fully contained and there's no pinching or squishing.

There's a tiny, tiny amount of cup wrinkling at the top. I can't tell if it's not quite a perfect fit, or if it's just the double layer of fabric at the top of the cup. This wrinkling does not show under clothes.

For the most part this bra is a very good bra. It is bandless and very supportive.

I've had two issues involving the underwire.

The first issue is with the centre gore. While the gore does sit flat, the fabric that covers the wire makes the corners at the top a bit stiff. I want to say it feels sharp but that isn't quite right. These corners also rub against the side of my breast and causes it to be tender. I also find that the gore is too high for my taste.

My second issue is that the wires on the outside, towards the arms, poke my arm pit because they are too high.

    Hasn't set fit

A friend had ordered for herself but failed to return it. It was a horrible fit on her, so we passed this bra around on 5 women in sister sizes or close and tried to find somebody who would fit into it.

I also know some other people who tried it in their sizes (34GG, 38FF) and it simply did not fit them. The rim of this bra is very closed, it cuts in on almost everybody.

In the end I tried this bra for a laugh and we were all flabbergasted - it fit me. I am bottom heavy without a lot of volume on top, most ... of my volume is to the sides under my arms. Thus there was no breasttissue on me where it had cut in on all others. Sadly I needed a strapless bra as much as a fish needs a bicycle - not at all.

All in all I would say it is a very difficult bra and I am not surprised it did not sell well and that they haven choosen to discontinue it.

I've only had this bra for 1 day now, but so far I really like it. It fits me well. It seems pretty comfortable, though I am just getting used to wearing an underwire and a properly snug band. It is called a plunge style but I believe it fits different than other plunges (it doesn't give me cleavage and it keeps my soft breasts contained). The only fit issue I have is there is a tiny gap at the very top of the bra (near where the strap attaches) that is due to the shape of my breasts (full on bottom). It still lays flat and isn't noticeable, so I'm not bothered by it. The band is comfortably snug. The center gore lays nice and flat. It's not too high. The sides/wings contain all my tissue and the underwires are wide enough for me. Nothing pokes anywhere. The lace is pretty and a bit stretchy. There is black elastic sewn along the top of the lace, so it conforms to the breast well.

Very uncomfortable bra. The under wires are very, very stiff and caused bruising on my ribs after wearing this for a couple of hours. This bra gives me a very east/west look & the seams show under shirts.

Ugh. I really don't like this bra. It has a couple of good points, though. The magenta red color is really pretty & the material is silky soft. It is a LOT of bra, however, & looks very matronly. The under wires dig into my ribs, so I had to bend them to avoid bruises.

I purchased this bra in March 2012 when I was in the process of changing sizes from 36G to 34H. I thought I had only lost a band size, and so I got the 34GG, although the gore never lay completely flat.

So although I am adding the measurements in January 2013, I would not expect them to be much different from a new bra. The bra was in light rotation from purchase in March 2012 until August 2012 (worn about once a week).

I own this bra in two colors, 'white' and 'tan'. I find both unattractive - just generic floral lace with no interesting detailing. ... It's a basic day-to-day bra, not something to get excited about. The white, of course, is subject to discoloration, but it looks a lot better than the tan one, which reminds me of the unflattering shade of tannish-pink pantyhose which is favored by some elderly ladies.

Note that there is a HUGE difference in how the bra is made between GG and H cups. The band is significantly thicker, and the underwire goes MUCH higher - about an inch. When I tried the 34H in June 2012 I found it completely unwearable.

I am adding this bra to Bratabase more than a year after it was purchased. It was worn as one of four bras (3 Elomi Cleo, 1 Elomi Jasmine) in heavy rotation from the time it was purchased until one year later, so the measurements given probably include stretching.

This bra no longer fits me, but it fit me when it was purchased in August 2011 until early 2012 when my size changed from 36G to 34H. Unfortunately I do not have those measurements on file so I cannot say at what point it fit me.

This bra was perfectly decent, and yet it was a poor second ... compared to the Elomi Cleo, which I loved. The shape it gave me was less rounded, and it was sometimes prone to poking me in the armpits. However, this bra is still made, whereas the Cleo is not.

This is one of the most comfortable bras I have ever worn and I was frequently scouring online to look for more like them. The fit was perfect, the shape was nice, and the comfort was amazing.

I am not especially fond of how it looks. The 'nude' is perhaps the ugliest of the lot, with little contrast in the stitching (which, of course, required for it to work under light clothing). The 'black' shows the greatest contrast and the embroidery looks nicest on this bra. The 'tulip' is my favorite of the three colors I own. The color is really nice but the embroidery doesn't stand out as much as it could - it is basically the same as the nude whereas I think it would look better if it were the same as the black. Overall, these are pretty boring bras in appearance, but with a full-coverage bra you're probably looking for a daily workhorse rather than something extremely pretty, so I don't consider the non-fussy appearance to be a bad thing.

Note that there is a HUGE difference in how the bra is made between G and GG cups. The band is significantly thicker, and the underwire goes MUCH higher and jabbed me in the armpits. When I tried the 34GG in February 2012 I found it completely unwearable.
