    Hasn't set fit

The construction of this 4-part balconette is scaled reasonably at my size (40:6) immediately outside of the core size range.
The listed measurements were taken from the beige colorway as manufactured (unaltered).
The teal colorway runs taller/bigger but is also long discontinued so likely won't impact your purchasing decisions.
Whatever colorway you consider, this is a full-coverage, tall balconette best suited for slight FoB - Even - FoT breasts with average to tall roots.
[My FoB breasts that lose upper volume with weight loss is why I reduced the cup height (the stretch lace top section) by ~1.75" in Teal and ~1" in Beige]
The winning ... feature of 40E - Curvy Kate ยป Victory Balcony (9001) is its simple yet modern seamed cup design that is truly INVISIBLE under clothes in basic Black and Latte and also juicy saturated colors like Teal, Turquoise, Ultraviolet, Navy, Claret, Pink.
The band is a firmer TTS.
The partially sheer to sheer mesh fabric is appealing and gives solid lift and rounded shape, with the bonus STRETCH mesh upper cup section that accomodates breast volume fluctuations and asymmetry. This type of fabric is a slight compromise in comfort that is reasonable for me.
The cups are reasonably deep and work well for my malleable soft tissue. But it is no match for the projected superbra of 4-part UK balconettes that is Panache Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951) or Sculptresse Chi-chi Full Cup Bra (7695) or any of their clones which I've collected and listed amongst My Bras.
The wires seem standard for Curvy Kate, as far as I can tell.

  2. Romance Balcony Bra (CK1501)

    Didn't fit

I'm new to proper bra fitting, and while I'm quite well aware that this bra does not fit, I'm not sure where to go from there. I have a few bras that fit really well and I forgot that I'm wearing them, but I have read that their sizing is very off, for example:

Teal/Purple Curvy Kate Thrill Me in 38E fits perfectly, no double-boob, can fill it out all the way.
Red/Black Curvy Kate Tempt Me in 38F again, fits perfectly.

With the Romance, I'm very confused on the fit. As you can see from the pictures, the main problem is that the cups are huge - I know I ... need to go down, but I'm unsure of how many cupsizes. Even on my larger breast, I can fit my entire fist into the cup and then some on the top. However, the bottom seems to be ok, aside from some odd wrinkles right above the underwire.

And then the band...it looks like it's cutting in...it feels like it's cutting in, but not that badly...So I bought a bra extender to find out if I needed a bigger band size or not, and even adding just 2 more inches made it ride up and completely destroyed any hope of support. Is this just because the elastic is so narrow? Or is there some bra-guru secret that I'm missing that helps rid me of back fat and cutting into my rolls?

Even despite the poor fit, I am head over heels for this bra, it's just so beautiful and feels like me that I really want to send it back and just order a better size rather than give up.

    Any advice is quite welcome!

    Thanks for reading!
