    70H

    Didn't fit

hello, summer! This is the perfect summer padded plunge bra that I picked up at the post office today. It's a bit lighter (feel & fabric - because the interior is white) than the Comexim basic, which feels a bit heavier and sturdier than this pearl flower mint plunge bra, but it's nice to have something a bit lighter for the summer.

The fit isn't perfect, but it's not Comexim's fault; I should've ordered 70HH. It maybe looks okay from the pictures, but it's a tad small on my larger side (left) and pinches there. I stepped on the scale and I actually weigh 10 pounds more than ... 2 months ago, great /s. So, it makes sense why this bra is too small for me on my larger side, it probably would've fit me back then though.

I initially ordered 70HH, then had 2nd thoughts about it, emailed the office and I said that I wanted to change my order to 70H (like a crazy person...), but now 70HH would've been right so I should've just stuck to my original order. The moral of the story is: don't email the office so many times, once you submit it, submit it. LOL. Will definitely hold onto this and see if I lose some weight though, fingers crossed.

Other than that, maybe the bra is a bit grandma-ish, but I love it! I don't think you can tell from the photos, but this actually has many more interesting details than just plain light green: the gore and all of the fabric area under the cups (to the band) is one layer of the flower printed mesh, so it's transparent & makes the bra appear lighter/sexier, I dig it. The wings are the same print fabric, but they're sturdier and lined. I like how all the of the hardware and strap elastic is mint green. Also, there are pink/peach flowers in the print, but it doesn't really show up on the photos. There is a little C (for Comexim) emblem on the mint green bow -it would cool if my initials were "C," like Christy!

Per usual, this bra from Comexim is a winner; I just wish I hadn't gained 10 pds, or it would've fit perfectly. But I will still hold onto to it. As far as pricing, this bra is on their cheaper end, I think it's b/c there are lighter fabrics used. The price is 125 zloty for the bra, and 22 zloty for shipping, so 147 zl total. For all of the details and the sewing on this bra, wow, definitely worth it! Thank you, Comexim = )

It's too bad b/c this bra is soooo close to perfection; if I gain 10 pounds I have to go up a cup in padded plunges though (apparently).
Update: 3-Jun-2021, I decided to order it in 70HH. This bra is just too perfect for summer!

wow, this actually has little pink/peach flowers on the print, but this doesn't show up at all in the photos.

    • 1

Ohh wow. It’s so pretty. I never would have noticed the floral pattern unless you pointed it out. So many times bras come and pictures don’t do them justice.

    • 1

Yes, I agree! every time I get a comexim bra, I think to myself, "this is so much better in person." Maybe I should take a picture in a sunny room later, b/c you can't really see the colours on this one. It's a bright fresh mint green. It looks dull in the photos, but it's not. It's fun. lol.

    • 1

It’s really pretty, I love the colour! Too bad it’s too small :( can’t tell from the photos though

    • 1

      thank you, margesimpson !!

    • 1

Looks good on you! Definitely do not sell it! I've made that mistake tooooo many times.

    • 1

This looks so nice!! I wouldn’t sell it either!!

    • 1

Wilderness1 , braluv , Okay, I'm not going to list it, you've inspired me. I was thinking - yes, it's too small a.t.m., but the shape is fine. I thought of listing it so someone else could use this "summer bra." But maybe I will fit into next year. Or whenever.

    • I do love this colour for summer though. I think having the "sea foam green" and white interior makes the bra feel....like I won't sweat!

I know that I'm always talking about the heat and I live in Canada...but it does actually get warm here sometimes. lol.

    • 1

I totally want this one now, LOL. It’s such a nice colour! Is the fabric soft/stretchier than the basic?

    • 1

So, yes! I think it is softer and a bit lighter than the basic. I think I was commenting on reddit (which I comment on waaaayyy to much!): if people are going to have fit issues, it seems like with the Basics. Like this girl https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/comments/nsem1e/recently_lost_some_weight_fit_check_for_my/ The Gloria and the Adele are okay (softer fabrics) but she has fit issue with the basic, unfortunately.

But don't let me peer pressure you into buying what's not right for you, lol....

    • 1

margesimpson , it costs slightly less than the basic, too, IIRC. I think it's because of the materials.

For some reason, I just really hate to sweat, even though I'm in Canada. I'm always worried about being too hot in my bra..

    • 1

LOL I know for sure that this material would be more forgiving than the basic...just trying to decide if I will try a plunge again..

    • 1

BraOdyssey yep, I’m in Canada too and the summers are brutal. Always nice to have lighter summer bras!

    • 1

margesimpson, I know, it's a tough call...you could always order some from breakout bras and then return them? It takes about a month though...Like some of the softer ones, and see how the fit is? Compared to Comexim's basic, at least? Wish I knew more about the alterations. In this video, Erica from S.P., she said that her perfect alteration is reducing the cups, and having the straps moved in https://youtu.be/5wC5e4Xxt0M She is size 30H though.
I'd like to try a longline in the fall.

    • *having the straps moved in 2cm...I just the leave the straps as is...maybe I missing out though, lol. I'm bit taller than average though.

    • 1

I definitely need straps moved in 2cm on the plunge, if I’m going to try it again *sigh.
You don’t need this alteration, you’re not missing out LOL which is good!
Straps moved in works for gaps at the top of cups if you’re short rooted like me and for straps that are too wide they dig into armpit, slide off shoulders etc.

  2. Okay, I'm trying to catch up on my bra reviews! IMO, this was the perfect summer padded plunge *for me* (for my shape!) If this bra review looks like Deja vu, well, it was previously reviewed one cup size smaller (70H) https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dn96t/ I will try to add a few more interesting details.

#1. Some other reviews say - this is a very light fabric, or a lighter bra. I agree that it is (compared to some of my other Comexims!), but the price is lower and also: it works well as a summer plunge that way because the materials used are not that heavy.

I kept ... reaching for this bra so many times this summer (which was hotter weather than usual!), and this was definitely the padded bra I wore the most. So, if anyone lives in a warm climate, and you like the colours of this bra, I recommend this bra for a comfortable lightly padded bra in warmer weather (if you have a shape similar to mine).

#2. Despite the fact that the materials used are a bit lighter, the fit is the same, only I noticed that I did not have gaping on my smaller side (which I usually do with Comexim padded bras b/c I'm not perfectly even, and I fit to my larger breast). I surmise the white padding is maybe a little lighter? hence the cost? But I truly can't tell. I'm comparing it to my other bras, and the padding is a different colour, but seems about the same as far as thickness. (maybe a little lighter, but it's hard to tell.)

My stats: projected, FOB, center-full, narrow roots & close-set breasts. My root height is average, although when I gain weight, it seems like I gain it on the top of my boobs. I find that Polish bras work best for my shape, esp b/c I have narrow roots and close-set breasts; I can not wear bras with wide gores, and I don't like the excess space that comes with the wide underwires in some UK brands - it's just empty space on me. I will probably pack this bra away for next summer though - I want to keep it in great shape. It was well worth the money. I wore it a lot and it's still like new.

The price was $125 zloty + $22 zloty on Comexim.pl, the shipping took about 3 weeks to Canada. I initially determined my Comexim size from comparing data on bratabase.

    • 1

meganelaineshaw1 , thank you, I love it : ) I'm really into colour as well - and finding the best colours for my skin tone, so this minty colour works well for me : )
Plus, I think it's almost like "cooling" with the light green. lol. which works well for summer : ) comexim is def one of my fav brands.

    Didn't fit

This bra is very pretty and delicate looking. It's colors are light enough that I can wear it under light colored shirts, and it does not show through.

This band is nice and firm for me, I tend to wear 30 bands more frequently than 28, so I was happy to find this comfortable. The cups fit quite nicely. I get a nice lifted and round shape, as is expected with Comexim. I am not quadding in this cup, but the gore is also not quite tacking. I would be interested to try one cup size up to see if it would tack.

    80K

    Fits

This is a very pretty bra and so comfortable. I ordered this bra after realizing that my Comexim bras in 80J are not fitting as well as they used to. I asked for increased depth at the wire, reduced cup height and for the straps to be moved in. I’m not sure about the straps, but the other modifications were done. I’m FOB, projected and centre full, and this bra works well for me. I was worried I would be swimming in this bra, but that is not the case. In my old bras, I was noticing that I had more back fat hanging over the band ... than I’d noticed before. With this bra, my back is smooth and all my tissue seems to be contained in the cups. I like the increased wing height in this size as it keeps my sides smoother looking, too. The pattern on this bra is very delicate and I have not had issues with it being noticeable under my clothes. The bra is very pretty, supportive and provides good support.

At this point, this bra is my best fitting bra and I’m in need of more bras in this size. I am not sure if this is just the natural progression of things as my breasts adjust to properly fitting bras or if this increased cup size is something temporary (although it’s now been an issue for a few months, so hormones can’t be blamed and I can’t hold off any longer on not ordering more bras). While I love the idea of the half cup bras, I am more successful in finding Comexim plunge bras that work for me and I’ll be sticking with the plunge style on my next order. I’m not sure, at this cup size, if I should order one bra without mods to see how it fits in comparison. I’m wondering if the immediate projection I need would be met with a standard K cup or if I should get the same modifications that I’ve requested for this bra.

Oh, that's a delicate finish yet sturdy hugger ;) Glad you feel great init, a good bra makes a good day !

And, yes, I can confirm: Boobs do adjust to bras. No kidding, tissues and skin can undergo permanent plastic deformation if subjected to constraints for long enough.

Reported by many and successfully used in natural breast growing enhancement methods.

Actually an old but somehow forgotten "trick".

    • 2

Congrats on getting a good fit out of this one. It looks great!

I have this bra and it's pretty shallow at the wire compared to my other Comexims. If you do the no mods test, I wouldn't pick this one.

    • 1

Sovavosi, thanks! I was considering an unmodified Basic plunge. I have an 80J that seemed fairly deep relative to other bras I have. I seem to have a little more top fullness than before, so hopefully not reducing the height won’t be a huge issue. Some of my bras that gaped at the top are now filled. Do you know what Comexim plunges are deeper at the wire?

    • 2

I think Patricia and Curaçao were better, but those are extra deep cuts. Their regular plunges are all too shallow for me.

    • 2

I second Patricia. Also the plain "basic" plunge seems to run small per the reviews I've read, so I would suggest reviewing the data here on BtB before ordering the Basic. From my experience, customizations are iffy with Comexim. Rarely are they all done, so try to keep them to a minimum of the most important. When they are done, they are great, but when they're skipped the fit is horrible &/or uncomfortable.

This one looks like grear fit on you.

    • 1

*This one looks like a great fit not grear. Sorry. Darn small phone keyboard!

    • 1

MamaPagan, thanks! I’m considering ordering without alterations if I can find the right bra because it’s so hit and miss with their mods. I usually just ask for reduced cup height and deeper at the wire, but I’m wondering if I can get away with deeper at the wire without reducing the cup height. The Mimi (which was a terrible fit- I thought it was a 3HC and it’s a 2HC) was definitely cut too low with the mods. I thought I owned the Basic plunge in 80J, but it’s the Elena and I’m thinking I may be able to get away with ordering it without mods in 80K.

    • I do hope it works out for you! I haven't had the best of luck with Comexim bras, but with so many here that have I am thinking it's just due to my odd size.

There is always the Breakout Bras option which has easy returns and you get them within a week. They don't always fit like Comexim direct, but it is a fast way to try a few different patterns or styles out without risk.

    Didn't fit

I bought this secondhand to sate me until my ewa michalak order comes in since I have no properly fitting bras. My only other comexim bra is the basic in a 70HH that I bought secondhand that was too small in the cups and felt loose in the band, so I decided to go down a band size and up a cup size landing me in the 65k area. Unfortunately for me, this one is too small as well. It did have reduced cups, which I've read you should size up when getting reduced cups so that may have affected the fit.

The pattern is super cute though, ... I love the mint green with the floral design. It's also a very comfortable bra even though I'm quadding in it. This just leaves too many questions of what my comexim size actually is. Next I might try a 65L (no reduced cups) and hope that I fit into that but I'm not sure if that will work or not.

Regardless I'm keeping the bra until my EM order shows up and I hope they all fit. It's comfy and if you know your comexim size Id highly recommend it.

Your profile says that your best fitting bra is a 32GG. Just converting that size over would put you at a 70J. Then sister sizing down if you wanted (and it seems like you do) would bring you to a 65K. Then when you go up one size to account for the reduced cup, that would bring you to a 65L. The reduced cup 65K works out to be about the same cup volume as the 70HH on paper, so then a 65L with reduced cups would be a cup size bigger than the two you've tried and the 65L with no reduced cups would be about two cup sizes larger.

  6. This is an older Comexim model and seems to have less projection at the wire than my newer model Graffiti and Hot Chocolate. I get some wrinkling of the fabric near the wire. I had requested the cup height reduced 1cm, and the straps moved in 2cm. They reduced the cup height but did not move in the straps, as I have two bras from MamaPagan with the straps moved in and the straps on this are about an inch further out. This makes the cups gape on me, mostly at the gore. If I do not angle the straps in, the gaping is removed ... but the straps are almost off my shoulders. This gaping is not noticeable under a shirt, so it is acceptable. The straps are not rubbing on my tail of spence so I'm not sure if I want to move them in myself.

Visually this bra is quite pleasing, it's a lovely mint colour with a nice lace ribbon detail on the straps. The center gore is marked with a silver coloured metal C with a white gemstone. The band on this one stretches to about 28.5", and is comfortable on the loosest set of hooks. The cups are 8.5" tall in the middle, but because of the gaping it feels like the cup is taller at the gore when it's around average for this cup size.

I think Comexim did a pretty good job on this bra other than not moving the straps in, I am quite happy with this one.

Maybe some day they will become consistent.

Maybe! It’s working out better than my latest batch of Ewa, so that makes me happy.

    Didn't fit

This bra was special ordered with reduced cups, reduced gore and more space at the wire. Compared to my basic plunge the alteration for reduced cups and gore was completed. I don't think more space was add at the wire because it feels and looks the same as my basic plunge. The cups are not deep enough at the bottom for me so I feel a little compressed but it is not bad enough to not wear it. The cups are narrow and fit well. I am happy that the cups are reduced which works with my shallow tall roots. I wish I could reduce the gore more ... but they said they can reduce no more then 2cm. The band is a little too stretchy. All the Comexim I've owned expect the Basic have stretched past 30in and stretch out pretty quickly so I might try a 60 band next. The band only has 2 hooks but I thought HH cup and up had 3 hooks. The print is lovely mint green flowers on a blue background, it reminds me of waterlilies. It has matching mint bows on the straps and the gore. The bow the gore looks silly because it just gets smooshed. The material and the padding is also really thin compared to my other bras. Light shines through it. Luckily this is not a problem for me through.

  8. As absolutely beautiful this bra is, there is something off with the fit. I'm hoping others snap this beauty up as well, and can comment if they experienced the same. The only modification I request on Comexim bras is to include 3 hook fastening; however, it fits like it has both a lowered gore and taller cups. Because the cups are so tall, I have slight empty space near the strap I normally never have in these. Also, not sure if it's because of the tall cups or not, but I also have a good deal of empty space at the bottom of the cup, which is generally ... also never the case with Comexim because of their famed projection and narrow wires. I don't know if the one I received is a defect, or if this model is just constructed a bit differently. Good thing it's so damn gorgeous!

The print on this is absolutely beautiful, and perfection for the incoming warmer weather. I LOVE the crisp mint green, subtle floral pattern, and the slight pop of pink throughout the cup. It truly is a stunning bra.

The feel of the materials it's made out of are not the best feeling to the touch, The fabric itself is a bit rough, almost scratchy, though it doesn't irritate my super sensitive skin. It's just not as smooth and silky as most of their bras feel. As was the case with my 75J - Comexim » Dakota Green , the straps on this are more narrow than average. I will still wear and love this, but I wish the fit were more on par with my other Comexim bras.

EDIT: after a wash and day of wear, the materials feel MUCH softer (like, surprisingly so compared to before), and the fit is better, too. It's still not satin smooth, and the cups are still a bit too tall, but it's much more akin to other Comexim bras I have (and love).

Pretty and light. Very nicely projected. Nice strap details.
Fits, but I prefer Ewa Michalak S cut, so I'll sell it brand new to a Comexim plunge lover.
    Band fits TTS.

I was really, really nervous ordering this bra because I'm nowhere near an H cup in any other brand. If I'd followed Comexim's sizing chart I would've ended up with a bra way too small, so THANK YOU Bratabase for measurements!!

The bra fits me beautifully. I love the pretty green flower pattern, and the stitching on the cups is rather flat, so it isn't visible under most of my thin shirts. It gives a nice rounded shape and decent lift.

The fabric was very stiff when I first received it, but after only a couple wears it's already softening up quite a bit. I expect it will be very soft and comfy after a couple washes.

    • Yeah Comexim uses EU cup lettering and grading, with no double letters, so your “H” is really a UK “F” and since they only scale up 2cm per cup instead of 1” often times you need to size up yet again in their bras. So I’d guess your UK size to be around a 30E or 30F. You’d think Comexim, a brand that peddles a wide range of sizes made for fuller busts with a need for narrow wires and projection, and accurately manufactures such bras, would at least have a proper size chart online.

    • Yeah, I wear a UK 30E. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has a problem with their size chart.
