I ordered the Elena as I was in desperate need of a nude t-shirt bra. I am a little too pale for Elena to work well for this purpose, I think I need to find a more peachy option. I have been eyeing the Sonia plunge on the Comexim sight for this purpose.
I was really pleasantly surprised with how Elena looks. From the existing bras on bratabase I was expecting a simple, nude, no-frills t-shirt bra. But girls - she's a beauty! The little black and white gingham bows on the straps and gore are adorable, and there is some nice nude lace detailing on the side ...of the bra. The material is not cotton (as I had expected) but a really lovely light, breathable power mesh. I think Elena got an upgrade!
I ordered Elena direct in a 60HH with a narrowed gore and the straps moved in 2cms. Compared to my unaltered 60HH, these customizations were made. Yay! Unlike some other Comexim 60 bands, Elena is TTS and feels very firm.
Sadly, even with the customizations, Elena is not a perfect fit. I think the bra is at least one size too small. I have noticeable quadding on both sides and the bottom of the cup is too shallow. I think need a 60J in this model. Sadly, Elena will have to find a new home on bratabase. Read more 125 more words

This is the second Comexim plunge I’ve tried. My shape: FOB, centre full, short roots. The first plunge was the Jade in 80HH. I had thought that the HH cup would be the better fit, but now I’m not so sure. With that bra, the gore doesn’t quite tack, my centre tissue pushes out and quads slightly, and I feel like my centre tissue might fall out (it hasn’t). The band feels a little tight and the sides aren’t high enough with some tissue hanging over the top. This bra resolved those issues.
First impression when I tried on this bra was that it was way too big. However, ...once I’d properly adjusted (it’s amazing what a good swoop and scoop does), it fit quite well and almost functions like a full coverage bra for me. I have enough immediate projection, my centre tissue is contained and the gore tacks firmly. The side band is the right height and feels much more comfortable than the Jade. I have some wrinkling on the inner side and I’m not sure why but I don’t have wrinkling at the bottom of the cup which has been an issue for me. This is a good T-shirt bra as the seams aren’t visible and the neutral colour works well for me. My main issue with this bra is that the outer cup is too high but I would not want to lower the cup at the gore.
I think that in the future I would order Comexim plunges in 80J with a lowered cup as this size feels more comfortable. However if I want more cleavage I would consider ordering a plunge in 80HH.
Elena is my first Comexim plunge bra that fit. I've lost weight since I got it, but it still fits pretty well. It was a great introduction to Comexim plunges for me and got me hooked after I kept striking out with 3HCs. The band runs tight and the apex projection is great. At the time, the wires were the narrowest I had tried and felt amazing, although I can go narrower now. Reduced cup height would probably make it perfect, so that's the alteration I'm going to go for next. There is a long story behind how I ended up with a 28G/60HH (I never expected it to fit). I've put all the details in the full review on my blog https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Adjustments: Reduced cup height and straps moved in 2cm. Oddly enough, I had to start this on the second hook. The seams are VERY visible underneath a thinner shirt. I think the cups may be a hair too narrow, but I'm not sure. Most wires are a touch too wide for my comfort, so it may just be an issue of unfamiliarity or tissue migration. Plain, but serviceable. The gore is ALMOST narrow enough, but not quite. Still think I need overlapping wires. All and all, perfect sale bra to help me design my dream Comexim, lol
I'm pleasantly surprised by this bra. Everyone talks about the Comexim Basic (170), so I assumed there was some reason the Elena wasn't as good a choice for a basic nude bra. I decided to get it because I wanted to try a strap modification I have in mind, and thought I might as well have something slightly different than what I already have. I also asked for the straps to be moved in 3 cm, which I think they were? It's a little hard to tell.
When it first arrived, I was a little worried because I seemed to want to quad out of it a ...bit. It really seems to walk the line there, depending on the day. Sometimes it does a little, sometimes it doesn't. But it's still very comfortable, so I've decided not to worry about it. The band is nice and snug and fits great on me.
I think these seams are the least show-through of all my bras, which is awesome. The details (little bows and such) are the same colour as the bra, and not that weird brown plaid that seems to be the case with older makes of the Elena. I definitely prefer this, and had planned on removing them if that were not the case.
I'm glad I have another go-to nude bra. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I haven't yet tried my strap modification idea, partly because it'll really be a shame if I mess it up so this bra is unusable. But I will update here if I do attempt it, and meanwhile I will continue enjoying this as a regular bra. Read more 164 more words
Elena has Comexim's standard plunge style pattern, so nothing really to note in terms of cut. I bought this model mainly to compare it to Comexim's other beige plunge, Comexim Basic Plunge Bra (170). They are cut the same and only differ in terms of fabric, colour, and embellishment.
The Elena's shade is somewhat darker and noticeably more warmer-toned than the Basic. This model would probably clash on your skin if you have quite cool/pinkish, very pale skin, if that's something important to you, but it should work fine under white clothing.
Elena's band is made of two layers: one sturdy synthetic fabric and one mesh. The Basic's ...band doesn't have that top mesh layer, so it is a little more stretchy.
Elena has three brown gingham bows on the front, by each strap and the gore. The cups are covered in a stretchy mesh material that I predict will trap tiny fibers from clothes and add wear to the look of the bra over time, we'll see. Overall I find the Basic prettier because the fabric has that shimmery champagne look.
This bra (and all of the others I received from the brand recently) comes with four columns of hooks instead of the usual three I get from Comexim. I am unsure whether this is a new feature across all models or a newer feature in their 55-band bras. Read more 120 more words
I get some gaping in this, I think it may be a bit more open on top than other Comexims. I have a few other Comexims in 65H and I don't get gaping in those at all. I did request reduced cups and gore, but I'm not for sure if the alterations were done. Other than the slight bit of gaping, it seems to be a pretty good fit.
I was debating whether or not to order this bra… fearing that it would be too yellowish instead of a true beige. I was delighted to discover that it's still a very warm hue for a nude bra. It's definitely lighter and not as "tan" as a lot of nudes are, but this actually works really well for my skin tone (I'm pretty much irish, welsh, … anything that makes one burn in sun and never actually tan lol). So this lighter shade is perfect for me! I love the little detailing around the edge of the wire. The bow on mine is not the checkered/gingham style bow ...that is shown in all of the photos. Mine is a simple nude bow. I'm fine with this though since what I really wanted was a basic nude Comexim bra (and I don't particularly love the satin material used on the basic bra). I will post pictures soon to show the bow that is on mine. This bra fits pretty much like all of my other Comexims - the band is about 25" long from hook to hook. And stretches enough that I do not need to wear it with an extender (unlike my Basic which measures 24" from hook to hook and has very little stretch). I think this is a great basic bra! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 122 more words
I love this bra but it runs bigger in the cups than I expected. A 60J usually fits me pretty well in Comexim, but this is definitely too big for me. I think I'd need a 60HH in this one, or at least reduced cups in the 60J. It really is an ideal nude bra- great projection and very narrow cups. I'm so disappointed that it doesn't fit.
