Didn't fit

About me: center full and close set, dense, narrow, projected, full on bottom with tall, gradually sloping roots.

I get significant quad boob and my breasts push the wires/cups down so that they don't sit in my imf. That being said, it is still more supportive than a number of my other technically fitting bras. The only problem is that the wires hit in a weird spot and make my ribs sore and maybe even a bit slippy (connective tissue disorder problems). Comexim 3hc bras fit me quite a bit better.

  • If you’re quadding in it, it might be too small which makes it a bit shallow. Are you quadding in the center or all over? Have you tried loosening the straps any? I find that most bras, even projected ones, still feel like they sit 1cm lower than my imf, though the wire marks are pretty close (maybe it’s my soft tissue?) so I don’t know. Have you compared the depth of this one to your perimeter measurements? Lots of questions, sorry.

  • As I’m about the same size as you, I will mention that I take a 65HH/J or 70H/HH depending on the style and any alterations. So my thoughts above about it being too small are probably the reason why it seems shallow.

  • Calluna I believe it's too small, though I don't know if sizing up would make the cups too wide in a way that negatively affects fit.

Now that I try pretty much only projected bras (or bras that are obviously too big or small, so I don't wear them long enough for them to migrate down), I don't have trouble with the wire being too low. Seeing/feeling with this one was a bit if a blast from the beginning of my bra fit journey.

The quadding happens out of the top and in the center, on top especially on my larger side.

I will compare to my measurements once I have a chance to measure it. I don't remember what I did with the straps. I'll see if loosening helps a bit.

  • Ok, cups are narrower in plunges than half cups. That said, unless you are going for the 2HC, cups are still pretty narrow in the half cup. Mine are less than 5.5” (closer to 5.25”). Feel free to look at my measurements.

  • Calluna oh!!! I missed that! Thank you. I will take a closer look.

  • Your alterations might be making it a bit shallower too, in the center. Comexim is a great brand but can definitely get challenging with the sizes and alterations. Very few people get it right on the first try. Don’t lose faith!

  • Calluna thank you for letting me know about the alterations! I got this here on bratabase, so the alterations were chosen by the original owner. I haven't gotten the courage to order directly from Comexim myself yet.
