After reading another user's review, I sized up in the band here. I'm glad I did. This is the tightest 34 band I have ever tried. It's tighter than most 32 bands. Definitely very wide and fairly shallow cups. This is the only bra I own where the gore doesn't tack. Thinking that might be related to the super-tight band, I tried an extender on it, which deepened the cups just a little bit but otherwise changed nothing.
The fit is a little strange, but the bra is fantastically beautiful -- chocolate brown with cream lace -- the cut is flattering on me, and the material is soft and comfortable.
Ah, Claudette Dessous! I really wanted you to fit. This was the first bra that I got that I thought fit, but after getting more into this I've found out that no, that it doesn't really. This was back when I thought I could wear a 34 band (sister-sizing from 32), but I actually am a 30-32. The band is too large for me and I think too large and stretchy for a 34 anyway. The band being loose made it look like the cups were large enough for me, but if I tighten it and push the gore (which doesn't tack on its own), I quadboob in my ...bigger breast. I also get in-cup quadboob in both my breasts because this bra is too shallow, at the same time that the top gapes. Also, I wrinkle at the bottom-centre of the cups. My boobs don't like the shape of it and fight it. I think the Dessous runs small in the cup, but I also think this bra would be muuuch better for someone full on top/even and with less bottom projection than me. However, the style and colours are so beautiful that I really want to give it another go at some point with a 30ff (I'm normally a 30f/32e). I found it slightly itchy at the beginning but it was ok after a couple washes. I thought about altering it but it would be a shame. Think I'm gonna list this one. Read more 136 more words
Itchy - likely will improve with washing. Slight wrinkle in middle of cup on both sides, but boobs overflowing the top and side of cup/under arm. Doesn't provide an attractive profile under clothes with my breast shape.
aesthetically, i love this bra. the seafoam and dark navy accents are very simple but pretty, and look great against my skin tone. Unfortunately for me, the fit was insanely off. The resulting shape looks pushed up from the front, and very minimized from the side due to how the cups were flattening my breasts inward. In the pictures, the extent of the overspill/compression isn't as obvious.
I consider the band as running small because it doesn't actually reach 34. my comfortably snug measurement is 34, so usually a 34 band is fine and stretches a bit with wear. I felt like this was at the farthest it ...could go, though it may relax over time. The main place where it feels overly snug is the elastic that borders the mesh of the band, and is stiffer. It also has 3 hooks, which im not used to, and i assume makes it fit tighter.
The demi cup is something i usually go for because in anything fuller i get gaping, though because this was so small in the cups, i dont know how my proper size would look. i'd say you could safely size up at least one cup in this if you are shallow, probably more if you aren't. while wearing it i felt extremely compressed and it was difficult to breath because of how hard the cups pressed in on me. The gore digs into me enough to be noticeable and uncomfortable, and i probably wouldn't be able to wear it for a whole day. I'm not sure if in this bra its more of an issue with the bra being too tight rather than the height of the gore. Another large issue is that the straps are almost in my arm pits-and i have wide to average shoulders. im wary of a larger cup size, as i imagine it will make them wider.
this bra seems to fit strangely all around, but if i can find a larger size, i'll probably at least try it. Read more 230 more words
