- Band runs two sizes small! Cups run small. Basically this is fit-wise a 26E. Wonky, Claudette!
- Cups more open on top. 3-piece seamed half cup. Flexible wires. Inner cups have such soft fabric! - Shallow and narrow for a 30DD. But if I regard this bra as a 26E, then it becomes difficult for me to characterize this dimensions due to my limited experience handling that size. - Three columns of fasteners!! Side boning. Tall gore. Ahhh all the support structures are in place, now if only it were sized right.
To sum, this is an excellent option for someone in need of a 26E!
Me: tall roots, close-set, average or narrow width, even but functionally FOT, centre-full, size asymmetry. 26" and 34" leaning.
This bra makes me so, so sad. Let me begin by saying that it is exquisite. Probably one of the most beautiful bras I've tried on, ever. Ivory lace over a rich chocolate brown, an ever so slight long-line lower edge with an almost bandeau style shape. It checks all. the. boxes.
Except, unfortunately, the most important one: fit. To start with, the band runs EXTREMELY small, especially for stretchy Claudette bands. I almost wondered if there was a labelling error, because holy cats, I could barely fasten it around me. And when I did, there were several additional fit issues with the cups: slight quad-boobing, but also creasing at ...the lower portion of the cups, and the gore wouldn't tack. The last two issues largely stem from the fact that the lower portion of the cup is very shallow and take on a shape very unlike my actual boobs. Whereas the bottom portion of my breasts are very spherical and basically stick out perpendicularly from my ribcage, the cups on this bra are more like a 45 degree angle outward to the apex. Finally, since the band is soooo tight and the wires are rather malleable, the cups end up stretching width-wise and losing depth. All in all, the whole bra is simply too small all around, in addition to being at great odds with my shape. And, of course, the straps are too far apart and molest my armpits while falling off my shoulders. C'est la vie.
I would recommend this to someone with a much shallower shape, with very little lower fullness, and broader shoulders. And incredible taste. This bra is goddamn beautiful, and it's such a shame it doesn't fit. Read more 174 more words
Devastated this is such a horrendous fail :-/ measuring it confirms what attempting to try it on suggested heavily - an 8.8 depth for an 11 inch wire makes this very shallow and frankly just a very unusual shaped bra. I think the one (?) other review here said what I'm going to reiterate - extremely shallow at the bottom of the cups. Believe me, I love a wide and shallow bra but this is the most extreme version of that combo I've ever come across. Band is too tight for me (I am a large 30 but don't own any 32s - sister sized up in ...this as I knew it was supposed to run small but it's still too tight to be wearable), would best suit a large 28/small 30, so I can't really even get an idea of how this bra should look. It's very pretty though and basically a longline as it has a little bit of boning (?) under each cup at the front to help the elongated front band stay down, and 3 hooks and eyes at the back. V. sad. After reading another user's review, I sized up in the band here. I'm glad I did. This is the tightest 34 band I have ever tried. It's tighter than most 32 bands. Definitely very wide and fairly shallow cups. This is the only bra I own where the gore doesn't tack. Thinking that might be related to the super-tight band, I tried an extender on it, which deepened the cups just a little bit but otherwise changed nothing.
The fit is a little strange, but the bra is fantastically beautiful -- chocolate brown with cream lace -- the cut is flattering on me, and the material is soft and comfortable.
