I like the color of this bra. It's somewhere between a slate blue and gray. I also like the black and white striped bow at the center and I'm not normally a big bow on bras person. The lace is firmer than I expected but it's not a bad thing. The inside of the cup has a silky mesh lining so the lace isn't scratchy. My only real complaint is that the outside of the cups are too tall or too wide or whatever causes the side of the bra to cut into the upper side of the armpit. The wires don't ... seem too long and they don't poke me under the arm. Basically every bra I own is at least one finger's width too wide and more often than not 2. This bra is slightly wider than that but still only 5.4" so not quite what most people consider wide wires either. Many people have mentioned the strange sizing for this Claudette model. It's actually not too far off for me. My other fitting Claudette bras have been 30F and this is a sister size of 32E. I find the immediate projection adequate but I haven't worn the bra for more than about 15 mins so if I wore it longer I might find it a bit shallow. I doubt too shallow though because usually it takes my bras less time to work themselves down if they are going to unless the bra is only slightly too shallow at the wire in which case sometimes it takes a half day of wearing to become noticeable. I didn't want to over wear this bra since it is still new with tags until I decide whether I'm keeping it or not. I'd love to see more bra options with this esthetic that are narrow and projected and open on top.

    • This looks comfortable; low wires under the arm.

    • DressTheTwins - the wire is nice and low! Unfortunately it's biting in a bit at the side where the cup meets the strap :(

Hi revisa! This looks pretty good! Is this without an extender or with? Wow I'm so pleased to see someone can get further with it than I did, ha! :-)

    • emsiepie it ended up working without an extender thankfully because I could never find the one I have

Devastated this is such a horrendous fail :-/ measuring it confirms what attempting to try it on suggested heavily - an 8.8 depth for an 11 inch wire makes this very shallow and frankly just a very unusual shaped bra. I think the one (?) other review here said what I'm going to reiterate - extremely shallow at the bottom of the cups. Believe me, I love a wide and shallow bra but this is the most extreme version of that combo I've ever come across.
Band is too tight for me (I am a large 30 but don't own any 32s - sister sized up in ... this as I knew it was supposed to run small but it's still too tight to be wearable), would best suit a large 28/small 30, so I can't really even get an idea of how this bra should look. It's very pretty though and basically a longline as it has a little bit of boning (?) under each cup at the front to help the elongated front band stay down, and 3 hooks and eyes at the back. V. sad.

    • Looks like this one could fit me :) wanna swap for something?

    • Hi Scharminkeltje , ooh maybe! I had a look at the bras you have listed but not sure anything would fit as most seemed to be a 30FF and I am most definitely an F. Would you be interested in buying if I listed it for sale or do you have any non-listed swaps? :-)

    • Not really, everything I have listed is what I have to offer :( but I would suggest checking out a measurements, at the time being I have 30FF, 32F, 30F and 32E bras that fit me, so the measurements are the key factor, not the size on the label.

    • What's with Claudette making tight bands now? Mine are all loose. :(

    • 1

Hi erispe, bardot has been discontinued so won't be made anymore and I think Odette is a few years old too, so both sets are definitely pretty old. All my other Claudette bras (dessous, Sophia and en dentelle) are loose-ish to very loose so I'm pretty sure its just these two that run small. Not sure about fishnet as that's pretty much the only style I haven't tried but to be honest I think I'm done with Claudette as their sizing inconsistencies just continue to shock me....buying their items is a constant challenge as you never write know what you're going to get sizewise, ho hum...😒 /endofrant.

    • Oh I see. You're the Claudette guru emsiepie ! :)

    • 1

erispe for the amount of money I've spent on badly fitting bras I'd bloody well better be, hahaha! 😅😒

    • I am currently into French bras and it is a costly research. :)

    • I am so astonished by this, I've tried seven different Claudette bras, not including different sizes within the same model, and ALL of my bands run tight, emsiepie , and , erispe , perhaps they ran a bit loose in the beginning of the brand? All of my Claudette bra bands measure at least an inch smaller than they're labelled size if not an entire size smaller. Odette measures 2 sizes smaller.

The band is kinda loose and stretchy. Not the most stretchy, but noticeably so anyway. The cups fit perfectly on the top and they suit my breast shape (top heavy, pointy) nicely. The cups are not wide enough. The underwires do not dig in or hurt, but I could stand to go up a cup size and down a band size.

I have seen that the sizing on this bra is all over the map, so here's one more data point for y'all. This feels really tight for a 32 band. When I first tried it on, I got wrinkling at the bottom of the cup and quadding at the top. I tried it next with an extender, and that fixed those problems. Cups seem true to size. The mesh is a little bit scratchy -- my skin is a little bit sensitive -- but otherwise it's comfortable now. The neon green is VERY NEON GREEN, which is what I was looking for, so I'm happy.

Only stretches to 28 inches, I measure approx 31 so doesn't go anywhere near doing up https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" /> I'm devastated, I sized up to 32 from my usual 30 as I knew this was supposed to run small, but I'd need a 34 minimum in this.
Can't comment further unfort, other than to say it's the unpadded lacy shoulder bra of dreams, sob.

    • That is one of the smallest 32's I've seen! It would fit me, and I'm a 28.5" ribcage!!! I think it runs at least a size and a half too small!

    • I wish this bra wasn't so damn wide. Both reviews of it measure it to have ridiculously wide wires. I love the aesthetics of it and every time it pops up on zulily I wish I could wear it.

    • talesofa30band it's I'd cos the unstretched measurement isn't that small, but it has barely any stretch compared to ALL THE OTHER BRAS IN THE WORLD (-ish) 😃
@lcl0706 I got it from zulily, this is the third time I've lusted hard after seeing it on there so decided to go for it to put me out of my misery even though in my gut I knew it might not work out 😒 would this be the size you'd go for?

    • If the band truly only stretches to 28" then yes this would be my sister size. But with a 27" UB that band better not stretch any farther. That said, 5.9" wires is an inch too wide for me :( Is that for real?? The review for the 28G also shows very wide wires. I wish this bra was narrow like Dessous. It's gorgeous.

    32E

    Fits

This is a beautiful and simple bra that has now become my favorite. The top has elasticized mesh that is very forgiving and the satin on the bottom section is super comfy. I find this is much easier to wear than my next best-fitting bra, Cleo Lucy. It get a rounded shape from this under all my shirts - even knit - and I hear that is unusual in this one. In my photos it looks pointy but it really isn't. Honestly, I love the way it looks under clothes and it is the first time I haven't been self-conscious wearing an unlined bra. Can't say enough how ... much I love this bra.

The size is perfect in width and depth. My shape usually puts me in between cups so I could probably wear the next size up (32F) but I think that my smaller side would have a lot of wrinkling. More importantly, the shape would likely be compromised to less of a round appearance so I am sticking with the 32E.

The band fits perfectly but I am not sure how quickly it will stretch out. (For reference, my ribcage measures exactly 32" and I prefer a tight band fit.) The material is a nice quality and doesn't itch or irritate my skin and I don't get that I-hope-this-mesh-softens-over-time feeling like I do with Cleo bras. I have lots of days where I wear this for 10+ hrs and never have to make an adjustment. I mistakenly fell asleep in this bra and that is something I could never do with my other unlined bras. Super comfy.

Like I said, this is my new favorite bra and a perfect fit for me. I am heartbroken that it is discontinued but I plan to scoop up as many as possible before they are all gone and hope that Claudette puts out a similar bra in cut and fabric soon.

HerRoom didn't have my usual 32F, so I got a 32E for my lighter/smaller boobed days several months. But, um, it's been a long winter and I haven't worked out AT ALL. So this bra hasn't fit since the summer. That said, I should probably hang on to it juuuuust in case. After all, it's one of my favourite bras of all time. (This is number 4, and I've just ordered another AND the updated model "Paloma", which I can't wait to try! Hey, if the shoe fits)

Pros: Love the design, love the silky and supportive lower cup combined with the stretchy mesh upper. Love the shape, and the fit, when it fits. If Kelly Clarkson is allowed to fluctuate in her weight, then so am I.

Basically I'm going to snatch all the Claudette Paramours up since they're discontinued.

This is a great bra for petite women, this first bra I have ever had that I did not have the straps falling off my shoulders. But I think it is more suited to a shallow bust than a deep or pendulous one. Still, I wore this for quite a while until the band stretched out. I do think it stretched rather quickly but I did wear it often, and during the summer, so it is hard to say.

The peony/limeade color combo made a very nice skin tone bra for me (I am quite pale) with only the straps showing through, which I thought was very fun for summertime. The 32E had quite thin straps, which I enjoyed, but the F I also tried had much thicker ones.

I had to have this color combo, it's so bold and unusual. Bare Necessities had it on sale for cheap and 32E was the closest thing to my size (28FF) so I bought it with the intent of altering the band if the cups fit fine and returning it if not. Well, not surprisingly the band is way too big, the cups however do fit so alter it I shall.
