This is the first bra I've tried on in my newly discovered size that I think fits me perfectly! There is very slight wrinkling, and very slight cutting at the top of my breast, and some marks are left from the tightness -but anything less tight tends to move around so I just deal with that. It provides a decent amount of support, but I mostly love it because it is so darn cute. This is also the last bra I expected to fit me given that it's completely unlined and full cup, and most reviewers seemed to have fit issues.

*UPDATE: After wearing through a 10 hour shift at work.*
It is quite evident that my body is not used to wearing such a firm band as I felt a bit sore after wearing the bra all night. After sitting in this bra for my hour long drive to work it became very apparent where the bra was in fact sitting on my breast tissue. The wires in this bra a VERY firm and started to feel like they were digging into me while I was sitting, but while i was standing I did not feel it much, if at all. When I took the bra off I had ... clear as day red marks on my breasts in the shape of the cup all the way up to where the cup connects to the straps. I could also feel my tissue hanging over the cup on the armpit side. I have NEVER worn a bra where my breasts actually stayed in the same spot all night, that they certainly did in this bra! It stopped all movement better than a sports bra (or at least any sports bra that I've worn) . Even though there is no space between the wire channels at the Gore, the wire was still sitting on my breast, only slightly uncomfortable and I am hoping this uncomfortable feeling would go away with a correct size cup. I do wish the bras under wires came up hire at the side than in the middle, I think the Gore may be too high for me...It started to become uncomfortable after about 6 hours and I found myself pulling it away from chest every now and again, giving it a little scratch. The wires do not fill the wire channels so perhaps I could push the wires to the outside from the inside? Put a stitch or two in place to keep it from moving? I do not have much experience with bras, but if the bra does not "soften up" with wear I may sew a soft, plush fabric along the under wires and band seems. They are not itchy or abrasive, they're just not super plush and soft.
    *Original Review*
I was REALLY looking forward to getting this bra. I wasn't quite ready to get an unlined bra, so I ordered this. The pictures on Amazon and here deceived me into thinking it had a fabric lining underneath the mesh cup. The dual layered mesh does a good job at holding breasts and not being too sheer. It's really quite comfortable. This band is much smaller than Freya's, it's even smaller than my Lascivious bra. I stretched it to 26", I did not feel comfortable stretching it any further. This is my second 28D bra I bought, post-BtB size. The mesh of this bra is not stretchy at all. Which made measuring the depth fairly easy for me. It feels like the wires are too narrow, but not uncomfortable. The Gore is pretty much nonexistent, with the cups wire channels directly next to one another. The fit of this bra depends on how I tighten the straps. If I have them tightened fully, the top and side of the cup pushes into my breasts causing quading on both sides of cups. Medium tightened is how I have it in the pictures, I have a bit of quad going on. Slightly loosened straps gets rid of quading but causes some oddly placed wrinkles on the cup. I'm not a huge fan of the shape this bra gives me... in a tight cami it is a natural-ish shape with a bit of point and with a loose shirt it is all pointy shape. I have posted pictures. I know I have pointy (maybe conical) boobs, which is one of the main reasons why I have always run away from non-padded bras. I am trying to open my mind to them. I don't think this bra does much for me....no apparent shaping or intense lift.....I definitely count this as a win, and may sew a thicker, stiffer fabric inside the cup for more shaping.

When you're first trying new bras, you might find you're swooping a lot, but this is simply due to ill fitting bras mooshing the breast tissue flat and towards the underarms (migrated tissue - not scientifically proven, but WAY too many cases to say it doesn't exist) and it all needs to be gathered toward the front again, but if the tissue is trying to escape all the time, then you'll want to start with wider wired bras. Of course, you may just have wide roots, but whether it's migrated tissue or wide roots, you definitely don't want underwires sitting on breast tissue, comfortable or not, to prevent more breast tissue damage. Tutti Rouge has wide wires. I know there's a chart for brands from widest to narrowest wires across the same size, if I find I'll link it to you! :)
The cups are definitely too closed for your tall roots. And a good tip is to have the straps as loose as possible, but tight as necessary. So shouldn't dig in, but shouldn't sag and fall off too. Most of the support (80% or more) should be in the band. If the straps make that much of a difference, I would write the bra off as not the best design since it's so reliant on the straps to shape them.
And there are definitely unlined bras that make rounded shapes; Ewa Michalak and Panache make tons. You can look at my Panache Marcie photos; I am very upside-down 7 shaped and the Marcie makes me very rounded, just as 1 example.
Hopefully some of that made sense and was helpful haha I'm kind of ranting after a tiring day of work. :P

It did indeed make sense Slava-Zone! I updated this review after wearing the bra for a ten hour shift at work. This bra, THIS BRA, (lol) definitely kept my tissue from moving around. I definitely need a larger cup in this bra. I loosened the straps more for my shift and the shape didn't change much, I'm thinking that the fabric was just very stiff when I first got the bra. I am hoping that it is mostly migrated tissue and my roots become more narrow with time, because I really love many polish bra's (comexim, Kris Line, both ewa's...and the list goes on) and I want to be able to wear their bras!

(Camo with limeade trim colorway) - Despite everyone saying that the Dessous runs loose, I found this bra fairly tight (this being the beginning of my bra journey, I was very concerned at the time about my ability to wear 28 bands due to this generalization). I don't know if it is this specific colorway or all bras from that season (SS13, I think? maybe AW13) but the band was pretty tight. The gore was quite comfy, but the wires on the sides dug into my ribs, which is something my other bras don't do. The wire width, however, was fine, I think they are on the narrow side of average. The fabric seemed like very hard and scratchy mesh but it actually wasn't uncomfortable to wear. The construction of the bra seemed very solid.

As for the fit, there was a some room near the apex and in the sheer part of the cup, which was not super fun. Unfortunately, I returned the bra before I remembered to measure it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

Okay, so this is an example of Weird Bra Physics. I bought this bra in a 28D and 28DD as an experiment. This bra has a lot of wrinkling in both cups, and yet the larger size of the exact same bra (28DD - Claudette ยป Dessous Mesh Underwire Bra (CD2000)) has only slight wrinkling on my smaller side. It feels like this is mostly because of the height of the cups. The larger size better encloses me vertically and this somehow makes the whole fit a lot better. I used to think that wrinkling indicated that the cups were too large, but in this bra, ... that does not seem to be the case!

I am also wondering how much of this is due to the fact that the band is too tight on me. This is slightly less pronounced in the larger cup size. However, if I were to try this bra in a 30 band, I wonder if a C or D would fit me better.

For now, I think I'll keep the 28DD size and return this one.

    • Take this with a grain of salt because I am by no means an expert, but it looks to me like your roots are too tall for this bra. In the 28DD, it definitely looks better as far as root goes, but still cuts in slightly.

I am infatuated with the variety of colour combinations with the Claudette Dessous and the look of a sporty bra without actually being a sports bra so was happy to find this turquoise bra through Bratabase and to give it a whirl and to see if I would buy another. I also wanted to see if the fabric would be too scratchy. In person, the colour is great and the feel on my skin was okay for the day. I do not think that I would like a marathon of a day in this bra.

I did learn something from this bra. I ... learned to look at the wire length in combination with the gore and wing height to get an understanding of how the cup width will fit on me. The cup width appears like it should fit me, being under 12 cm, but the distance sits low on the cup resulting in a cup that is much too wide and sits on my side ribs. The wires are more pliable so it was not painful, but the cup does not flatter my breast nor sit proportionately on my torso. Another lesson learned in shopping for bras! It is a bra that will lend itself well to alterations so am not overly concerned. I will not buy a new one regardless of the pretty colours though, as the work involved plus full price is not worth it.

Well, I thought I would try this one one more time. A Bratabaser had this listed and the measurements looked good so I scooped it up. Unfortunately something weird is going on with the the wires. They should fit me, but they end up too wide and hurt the sides of my ribcage! I thought since my measurement change this would fit better because the band would not be pulled as tight, but it does not.

I'm really sad because it's such a pretty bra. I love the color!

I bought the Peacock (teal and gray) colorway and it is probably the most "my style" bra out of the ones I've tried recently, but the shape is just not right for me. It's quite shallow, I have trouble filling the bottom of it and it cuts into my tall roots. The shape is definitely not the rounded look you get from moulded bras and I don't love the shape it gives me, but I think if you are shallow with a FOB or even shape and/or not tall roots, you would get a much nicer, rounder look. All in all, a very beautiful and well made bra, but just not for me.

I thought this colorway is from a previous season? The band tightness seems consistent with SS15 Claudette so I don't know. Does the band feel super tight on you? I wear mine with an extender and it fixes some of the cup issues.

I'll bet the cup width on this one is a part of the problem. The 28DD I have isn't even 5", and it's too wide on me when I'm not bloated.

Another thing that I noticed with mine is that a slightly too-large cup brought the top edge of the cup high enough that it doesn't cut in on my tall roots.

Claudette, I want to figure you out, and I want you to work for us petites. We are running low on unlined options here!

    • I don't actually know what season it's from. I got it off Zulily.

The band is quite tight, yeah. I don't have a band extender though, but that might be a good option. I don't quite want to get rid of it yet, but I'm also tired of owning bras that I don't love.

And, sorry that's a typo on my part. The width is closer to 4.85. I'll update that now.

    • It looks like there's a report from another user who also reported that the teal one runs tighter than previous years.

Definitely get an extender if it feels tight. This bra becomes unforgiving of tightness by the end of a day's wear. I don't remember if you were the person who has a 25" ribcage, if so I'll bet this would break in in no time for you. Me, I'm getting a 30 band on my next Claudette, hopefully they don't change up their fit again.

I have found most of my Claudettes to run more narrow in the cup than this, I wonder if you got an unusual one.

    • I'm more like a 26" but this is still pretty tight. Might be a good idea to have a bra extender in general.

It could also be that I'm bad at measuring. I'll try again tomorrow along with my 28DD and we'll see what I get.

Haha, I do want them to change the fit! Less shallow & FOB would be great.

Compared to the Cameo version of the Dessous, the cups run really big. Either that, or my boobs changed a whooole lot, in very weird ways. Anyway, the band is loose, as per the rumours. The material isn't that soft, but it's not unpleasant, either. The colors are really nice!

WOW the band is tight! I can barely fasten this bra around my 25.5 inch underbust. The cups are very shallow and wide. The straps are extremely wide set and cut into my arms. I also got this bra in 30B and the fit is drastically different. The 28D is more shallow than the 30B, despite being a cup size larger, probably since the wires are so wide. Also, the wires are very stiff on both bras.

Another gorgeous bra from Claudette. The colour (Peacock/concrete) is so rich and beautiful and is very flattering. The shape of the cups works great for me, and although it is an unlined bra it is invisible under clothes (seams, nipples don't show through). The band is noticeably firmer than my older dessous bra (from s/s 2013), so at the end of the day there is discomfort from the tightness of the band. It is still new so I am hoping it stretches out a bit more as I wear and wash it, so it fits as well as my other one.
