Okay, so this is an example of Weird Bra Physics. I bought this bra in a 28D and 28DD as an experiment. This bra has a lot of wrinkling in both cups, and yet the larger size of the exact same bra (28DD - Claudette » Dessous Mesh Underwire Bra (CD2000)) has only slight wrinkling on my smaller side. It feels like this is mostly because of the height of the cups. The larger size better encloses me vertically and this somehow makes the whole fit a lot better. I used to think that wrinkling indicated that the cups were too large, but in this bra, that does not seem to be the case!

I am also wondering how much of this is due to the fact that the band is too tight on me. This is slightly less pronounced in the larger cup size. However, if I were to try this bra in a 30 band, I wonder if a C or D would fit me better.

For now, I think I'll keep the 28DD size and return this one.

• Take this with a grain of salt because I am by no means an expert, but it looks to me like your roots are too tall for this bra. In the 28DD, it definitely looks better as far as root goes, but still cuts in slightly.
