I just bought this, so I will probably edit the review once I've worn it for a while. The bra mostly fits, but the wire pokes a little under my right arm. Technically, the center gore could lay a bit closer at the top, but I'm not too concerned and the bottom tacks fine. I think the 40G is as good a fit as I'm going to get in this brand because some of their 38H's are too tight in the band for me. I think a 40H might be too big.
The lace is pretty. I bought both the black and the cream colorway and my guy loved ...them as soon as he saw them. The stretch lace looks like it's a decent quality, not as cheap looking as my Parfait Sophia lace bra, but I'll know for sure after a few washes. The band is tight, more like a 38, but it could be because it's brand new and hasn't been broken in yet. In UK brands I'm a 38GG-38H, but the Cacique 38H's feel too tight in the band for me to comfortably get the bra on. Cacique seems to be closer to UK sizing than US, but it's not quite the same.
The bold lace full-coverage bra gives a nice, rounded shape.
My thoughts after wearing it for a day: The construction is not as good as my Elomi and Freya bras. I think most of my bras have a soft elastic tape under the gore but this bra does not, so it's rubbing uncomfortably there. While the bra feels too tight, the elastic band is rolling up a bit on the right side. The wires feel hard and uncomfortable. As far as I can tell, the bra is not riding up. I think the band tightness was probably because it was new and stiff as it seems to be loosening up, BUT the wires are still digging in at the front. They don't seem to be hitting breast tissue as far as I can tell, but they are digging into my sternum. Not sure how the band can be getting looser and starting to roll slightly at the sides and yet the underwire is painful.
The measurements of this bra are similar to my Elomi 38G, which runs a size big and mostly still fits (apart from some minor quad boob), so I'm not sure why this bra really isn't working. (After taking a couple pictures, it looks like there is some wrinkling at the sides). Read more 311 more words
I really like this bra. I weighed about 50lbs less when I first bought this style, & it fit wonderfully. Now that I've gained weight, it occasionally digs in at the bottom sides, under my arms (this is with a larger size). But, I think most any bra will do that because of my "rolls." Like any bra, the band does stretch out after a while, but I just buy it to fit on the loosest hook, then tighten it as it stretches. This allows me to extend the time it fits. With this method, I can get about 18-24 mos out of it ...before it's "downgraded" to a "yard work" bra. (I have several of these that I rotate, so each bra is usually only worn 2-3x per week, for about 18hrs at a time.)
It's neither hot, not cool. Although, I will sometimes get "boob sweat" when I've been running around a lot. (But, this happens with or without a bra! 😛LOL!)
Although there are 2 seams in the cups, & it's made our of lace, the pattern doesn't show thru under MOST cotton shirts. It will show under thin, silky like tops.
The cup lace is lined with a stretchy, thin, silky material (similar to a pair of panties). That keeps the lace from being scratchy. Which is a major problem for me with a lot of bras. I have very sensitive skin.
It will NOT conceal my "headlight." But, to be fair, I have particularly erect nipples that you can see even thru padded, molded cups. So, I've just learned to deal with it. (I think only a bandaid would fix the issue for me.)
It's a good quality bra. I haven't had a strap break, or wires pop out like I have in other bras (even by Cacique). My only complaint is that the lace becomes "dingy" easily. I wear black scrubs at work, so nearly all of my bras now have a dingy appearance over the entire bra, but especially concentrated near the side & underarm areas where it gets the warmest. But, it even picks up a little dinginess on the back straps. - This makes my bras look "old & dirty" WAY before they're actually old & dirty. I can't seem to find a way to wash it out, either. (I've tried Shout, Hot Shot, degreasers, pouring Tide directly on it & allowing it to sit.) Read more 315 more words
If you were interested in some extra coverage, there are a variety of nipple covers out there that you could maybe get okay results from with a padded bra? I owned a pair in silicone that was beige and worked well in unlined bras, but I didn't have the nipple situation you do so I can't vouch for it :)
Thanks! It usually doesn't bother me, but it's nice to know there are products available just in case!
As all plunges that I've tried lately, my soft tissue falls out the middle. I stitched the gore together to turn the cups a bit so they hold a little better, but it's still not perfect. For some reason, I get way better lift out of this than any of my unlined, better fitting bras. Would work for someone who wants a molded tshirt bra, wide wires, and has firmer breast tissue.
This bra has been great at holding in my copious side boob...until the other day when the underwire broke and now it hurts. I'm very sad they don't make it anymore. It was very comfortable for me.
This bra fits ok. The top seems to gap a little, but looks fine when you put a shirt on. The band seems to roll up on the sides. I don't know if it is the bra, or maybe the wrong size band, or just extra tissue.
Padded bra with some under padded lift. One of the few low cut bras I haven't fallen out of. Bought a couple years ago before I had any clue about what size to buy.
This bra is super cute. it has a small push-up pad and pulls everything up high and in front. i occasionally have a problem with a little spill over at the top of the cup and have to readjust. the band and cup in this style run smaller than other styles in this brand. A G cup is usually a little big for me, but this one is very snug. overall i love this bra. its very sexy under clothes and its in a fun bright floral print.
This is my favorite bra at the moment, though still not perfect. the band is a little too stretchy, and the straps must be tightened before every wearing because they wont stay in place. i love the fabric (i think they're calling it "spacer" fabric). it is lightweight and smooth under any top and still manages to provide some nipple modesty. My breasts vary significantly in size from week to week, so sometimes i have extra room in the bottom of the cup, but it lies flush with my chest and the bra is still supportive even when not completely filled. i have had it for several months, and the band has stretched quite a bit. I will definitely buy this one again, but in a smaller band size.
https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Sexy and comfortable with a nice shape (a little pointy rather than melon or ball shaped). https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> typical wire squeak as I always get with cacique.
I found this bra pretty much unwearable. The fabric is nice, but there was no stretch to the band, and the cups were gargantuan, yet somehow managed to smush my boobs down to the point of it being uncomfortable, and the bra creaked with every movement. Despite it being a push up, I had even less cleavage than I do in my normal bras. This bra might work if it was perfectly sized, but that was not the case with my experience.
I knew this bra was the right shape for me based on other sizes I tried, but it took over a year to find the 38h because it's discontinued. how bittersweet the victory knowing ill only ever have one! needless to say, I TRY to save it for special occasions... which is difficult since it's the first (and only) bra that has ever fit correctly (and, not surprisingly, the first and only that has ever been comfortable).
I bought this after getting 'fitted' only to find it was too big. It's a wonderful bra otherwise, but I did the fitting myself and got the proper size!
This is one of my less well fitting bras. It's really, really comfortable. However, it stretched out fairly quickly and it continues to stretch as I keep wearing it. I have had to take out 2" from the band and I'm tempted to take more out. It's held up very well, in any case. If you can deal with a tight bra for ~2 weeks and you're in Cacique's size range, go for it. the comfort and smooth cups is pretty worth it.
More of a flat/shallow shape that pushes out to the sides. Wrinkling at the bottom of the cup. No additional padding other than the overall foam cup. Fully adjustable straps are nice. Feels much higher quality than the typical Cacique bra. The band runs small and is not as stretchy, so you may have to go up a band size.
The moulded shape pushes flat and out to the sides, making more of a pointy square than a nice rounded shape. Definitely an odd appearance. Built-in padding at the bottom of the cups. Not sure if that's a plus or not. Padded straps are comfortable. Construction is cheap - there were loose threads before I even wore it. Boring design and no color choices.
