So I urgently needed some new bras and this was the best of a bad bunch.... for me anyway. I don’t know why bravissimo stopped stocking all my favourite bras.. i think maybe because they want people to buy their own brand -_- Anyway how it fits - it fits me perfectly, lifted and rounded shape and pushes them together, which I love, but it feels so flimsy.. so surprised that it is so supportive. It’s lpoke sexy and under clothes shape is ok but a little pigeon cheated at some angles.. for the price I wanted the shape to look perfect but it wasn’t to be and I absolutely needed to buy a bra so. I’d gotten so used to my Freya deco bra tho and more padded styles that this feels odd but good for looking more streamlined and much needed minimising under tighter clothes. I have full short boobs that are close at top and splayed at bottom with lots of centre fullness if that helps
Thanks for the review, Bastet . What does "a little pigeon cheated at some angles" mean?
Like how a pigeons chest looks from the side lol ;D I guess like it looks like it just morphs in to my belly.. like boob and belly are one.. if that explains it.. haha!
Oops I meant to write pigeon chested not cheated
Ah, I understand. Thanks, Bastet !
wiring poked through after 1 month.. tried to take it back but it was such a hassle I ended up paying to get it mended - that didn't last long at all.. so I looked up tips and apparently sanitary pads are good wrapped round sharp underwire that's poked through - that worked. But now one of the hooks have come off at the back and my fears that it looked flimsy proved true ;(
Wow, wire poked through and a hook came off?! Have you grown in cup or band size? How often have you been wearing the Niya? I'm a little concerned. I was thinking of buying a Niya when they come up with a pinky beige color. The peach color they think is nude is not, in fact, nude for anybody but plastic dolls, lol.
Anyway, you've had the Niya for about a year. About how many times did you wear it in the month before the wire poked through?
I always wanted to try the satine style and I fell in love with the duck eggs color on the Ariana, but it was not to be. I think it's very hard for heavy, dense breasts to do well in plunge bras, and for someone with top fullness like me, I felt like I was going to topple out even though the cup size was appropriate. This shape also just didn't work, I had ridiculous amounts of gaping at my shoulders. Also, the lace overlay may show up on thinner t-shirts. This was not for me, but it was satisfying knowing none of the satine are for me.
This is such a beautiful bra! I ordered it just based on the looks and hoped for the best. The quality is good and it looks very pretty in real life. I had read that the band runs small or is tight. I wouldn't say that's the case, I think it runs true to size, and the band is actually my favourite thing about this bra. What I like about it is that the firmness of the band itself and the firmness of the elastics on the top and bottom parts of the band match. That makes it sit very smoothly and creates less visible lines when wearing ...it. However, the fit on me is not perfect, but it's one of those cases when it looks like it will fit but then only after wearing it for a few hours the problems come up. My issue with it is that the bottom of the cup is too shallow and that causes the bra to slide down on my rib cage with wear, which becomes uncomfortable. The top part is stretch lace which will be very accommodating for top fullness as well as for asymmetry. The wires are quite firm, as usually with Bravissimo. Read more 96 more words
This bra is made from sturdy, heavy duty materials. The fabrics are not very soft, neither the cups nor the band. The wing are indeed low, but the wire is quite hard, and that makes it supportive but less comfortable. The shape it gives is a "green" shape.
I love the Satine bra. It's sturdy and has a good uplift and hold. The inner cotton(ish) fabric is very comfortable and the outer sateen fabric makes the clothes sit nice over the bra. The wires aren't too wide and the gore tacks. It brings the breast up front, not east/west. The band is to the large side. I don't think the cups stretches over time, I think it keeps the shape and fit very nicely.
