Wide, very shallow tall root boob heaven. These fit my very shallow, wide and tall root shape perfectly! I have never had a bra with cups this shape fit so well. The lace lies perfectly against my chest without gaps, wrinkles, or any other indications of an ill fit. I love this bra so much that I bought another one in Snow.
The straps seem to stretch easily but I know that I can make them a little tighter, so it's an easy fix. The band stretches easily too, and I love it because I don't like to be squeezed.
The only things that is a little off for ...me is the width of the cups. I am going to alter it so that the wires touch at the center like the Natori Feathers. My breasts are very close together and the wires sit on my tissue a little bit, so once I alter the bra it will be absolutely perfect.
I am so excited that I finally have 2 bras that fit - this one and Natori Feathers in 30D!
I'm currently favoring - holy smokes I have a bra that fits!! - versus what I look like in a shirt. Since I've found bras that fit, I think that I look better in my clothes in general. Next I would like to find a nice push up bra and I really need a strapless bra for a wedding this summer. Recommendations welcome!
EDIT: 8/3/16 - after wearing it for a work day I have found that the gore is too high - it irritates my sternum. It is fine to wear and I love it because it fits just about perfect for me, but after about 10 hours the gore starts to irritate my sternum. I wonder if this will abate once I alter the wires to touch in front? I'll update as necessary. Read more 207 more words
glad you love the Betsey Johnson Eyelet Lace. I recommend all of the Betsey Johnson bras except for the Stocking Stripe (not as shallow as other Betsey bras) and the Starlet Lace (not for tall roots).

Great bra, overall perfect fit. Comfortable to wear all day. Best for shallow and broad rooted types. I wish there was a bit more push-up effect and that the color was more true to the photo.
I just purchased this bra. My first assessment is that this bra fits good and comfortably.
The band fits snug, holding the bra in place while raising my arms and moving around. The wires sit nicely against my chest. I have not experienced any trouble with them digging into my chest yet. There is some quad boob effect on my left breast, due to its slightly larger size. However, the cup creates a nearly smooth line on my right breast. I was not able to fill the cup with either breast when going up a cup size, so I settled for this fit. The fabric is super soft and comfy.

This bra fits just like the Eyelet Lace style except it's not so good for tall roots. The Eyelet Lace has a lot of open space at the top edges of the cups but the Starlet Lace is more closed in at the top edges. Otherwise, it's not bad. If you have a shallow, broad rooted, and short rooted shape go for the Starlet Lace.
I got this bra from mercury . It turns out I can fill the cups completely, and the top of the cup does not cut in, but it is very tight under the armpit area, which gives me significant armpit rolls. I guess it is related to my high-set breasts--the bra looks much higher on me than on mercury's pictures, and reaches my armpit easily. This bra should work for someone who is low-set and FoB/with short roots.
This bra fits like it was made for me. Well, the cups are. The band is too stretchy.
The cups follow the curve of my breasts pretty much perfectly. Width is good, no gaps, no weird lines. The straps adjust short enough. They're not fully adjustable, but they are more adjustable than other half-adjustable straps I've seen.
The band, when brand new, was true to size, stretching to 30 inches flat. After a day of wear (at the tightest hook), they've stretched to way more than that, clearly, as the band was riding up. This is also due to the fact that the elastics in the band are THIN. Normally elastics are 3/8" (1/2" for thicker ones) but these are 1/4". They're stretchy and look like they'd stretch out pretty fast.
The lace is comfortable, not scratchy at all. Strap width is good too- they don't dig into armpits.
I used to totally love Betsey Johnson bras as it's one of the few US department store brands that carries a TTS 30 band. I've tried many of the styles, but in the past always purchased a 30C. In retrospect, all of these bras were too small for me, and actually after scooping properly, I've found that 30D is a bit small as well. I should probably try a 30DD if I see it around, but unfortunately it wasn't available when I placed this order.
I didn't realize it originally, but this particular style is on the shallow side and fits noticeably shallow. I own ...this in 30C in two colors and this is my first purchase of the 30D. Immediately even before scooping, there's some overflow on my larger side, and once I'm fully scooped, both sides show this effect. It's also obvious from the side profile that it is too shallow, since I don't get the projection or round shape I would normally get from this style of bra.
This style is also a partial band, which tends to cause problems on my bony ribcage. Without a stable cradle, the underwires on many styles will end up digging into my ribcage. This bra is also a little bit uncomfortable, but it's tolerable. I wish it were a full band though. I was so excited to find this bra on Poshmark (marked as 30B by the seller because she thought it was too small to be a 30D lol). I have conical breasts so I look for shallow cups and read all about how amazing this bra was. Here's how it fit: - I was very surprised to find the band is too tight for me. I read reviews saying the band was stretchy so I figured it would fit my 29" underbust perfectly. Instead I find that I have a lot of trouble just hooking it on, and once I do I feel like it'll rip if I take ...a deep breath. The database says it should stretch up to 31", yet I can barely get mine to 29". Guessing I need to break it in, but yikes, it's tight. (EDIT: Wore it out for an hour and it didn't end up feeling too uncomfortable, but I did come home to some deep bra marks all over my chest) - Gaps the tiniest bit the top of the cup. My roots are probably too short. - I have fairly wide-set breasts. Although the underwire seems wide, the band is so tight that it pulls the underwire and cuts into my breast tissue at the sides. The cups are nicely short for my short roots. The band feels tighter than average 30 bands and I can use the second set of hooks comfortably (I have a 26.5" ribcage). The wires and the straps are too wide for me, which causes a little discomfort, but not to the extent that makes it unwearable. I think this is an okay bra. Because it is cheap and is a plunge, I am going to keep it.
After feeling a bit sorry to let this style go at my first try (30D - Betsey Johnson Intimates ยป Eyelet Lace Demi Bra (723325), I found another one in my size for cheap and decided to give it another go. As I remembered, it's super comfy. The band is so stretchy! The cups fit well and produce that nice mounded-hills look I like under buttoned blouses. Still not good for under tight t-shirts -- the lace shows through. The pink bows look okay enough in a picture, I guess, but on my actual body they left me feeling like Little ...Bo Peep. So I cut them off, and I like the look much better.
For about three months this was my favorite regular-wear bra. Then, to my horror, I saw that the elastic in the mesh at the sides of the bra has started to decay -- little pale dots of elastic thread are starting to appear all over the black mesh, like an evil and slightly sticky dust. I still like the fit and shape of the bra, but it's very disappointing to see the material breaking down so soon. By contrast, I have a couple of Natori @Feathers that have seen heavy use over the last five years, and although the colors have faded a little they show nothing like this kind of structural failure. the forever perfect is nothing too fancy, but gets the job done. the band is too loose for me, and stretched out even more after long-term use. when i tighten the band to simulate a 26, the cup cuts into my larger boob. the larger boob is also where the bra shows under clothing. on my smaller boob - the one that fits - it does not show.
compared to other shallow molded bras like the cleo maddie, the shape of the forever perfect is more closed on top and fob. and the wires are much wider. i had been struggling to find a ...molded cup bra that fit (cleo maddie: too narrow, cleo juna: too fob), and when i found these, i bought lots of them and basically lived in them for the past year. these served me well. and they're cheap.
also, the quality is not on par with other high quality brands like panache; there's a lot of pilling on the cups and straps after a few months of use.

Background first: I have wide set, shallow, slightly splayed boobs; tall roots but soft and deflated, so my braless shape is full on bottom. The left side is about half a size larger than the right, but it's also more deflated and concave on top when unsupported.
First reactions: this bra is sooo comfy! The band is soft and super stretchy, as other reviewers have mentioned. I am impressed at how well the cups fit me. All my usual failure points check out: the wires are wide enough, the cups are shallow and open enough, the line at the top of the cups is nice ...and smooth on both sides. The overall silhouette is pretty good, a nice mounded-hills look with no quadboob. And it's very comfortable. Did I mention the band? How stretchy it is? Super stretchy! On a strapless this would never do, but for everyday wear I think this bra would feel great.
My quibbles are comparatively minor. The silhouette is flatter than ideal for me -- this bra minimizes what little forward projection I have. Also, the Suzy Snow colorway looks great on screen, but in real life the bow decorations are much more intense than I had expected, more of a bright coral than a mild pink. This would also not be a bra for under tight t-shirts: the seams and lace texture show through. Those aren't problems with the bra per se, just ways it doesn't match my tastes. This bra is very soft to the touch. That was the first thing I noticed. As such, it is very comfortable to wear.
The cups are pretty shallow. I think they may be a tad too shallow for my shape, but it's a molded cup so you can't really tell. It does cut into my tall roots a bit. Interestingly, the padding is thicker over the nipple area than at the edges. You're not going to need nipple covers with these.
The band is quite stretchy (boy, I really have a talent for picking stretchy when I need firm) and the first day I was wearing it on the ...tightest hook. It was comfortably snug at that point, but I will have to alter it sooner rather than later.
The j-hook on the back can convert the bra into a racerback, and even better, you can move it to your satisfaction. I'm greatly pleased by this, since it gives the straps more room to adjust. I had an old ill-fitting bra with a j-hook, but it couldn't be moved, so I never used it since it attached too far up my back for me to be comfortable with it.
Update: I sewed a ribbon onto the bottom elastic and reduced the overall stretch to about 29.5ish inches. There was some pressure when deep breathes afterwards, and I could hear/feel the gore/wires creaking as they stretched, but it was pretty comfortable otherwise. I had to move the j-hooks up higher to adjust the straps to my liking, and now they're too high up for me to use, but that's ok. I was expecting that anyway.
Update 2: On a whim, I loosened the straps a bit and used the j-hook. It changed the fit of this bra from decent to great! Without the j-hooks, I could feel that there was space in the outsides of the cups, and the center/top cut in ever so slightly. In racerback mode, all those tiny fit issues are gone. The sides of the cup become super shallow and the cups no longer cut in. It holds me in place super well now. Before, I had consigned this bra to "not to buy again." Now it's the best fitting molded/t-shirt bra I own! Which is great because it comes in awesome colors I can again look forward to owning. Read more 282 more words
Like all t-shirt bras, this one runs shallow. It is the wrong size for me (30D; I wear 26F) and thus the band is too loose while the cups are too small.
That said, this is a really nice bra and I wish that it came in my real size. It is so soft and comfortable. I still wear it, even though it doesn't fit well, because it is so comfortable. Maybe someday Betsey Johnson will make 26 bands... sigh.
I picked this up on sale at Nordstrom. I got it because it's really soft and think it's really beautiful. Molded cups don't work for me( too wide and shallow), so I knew it would need some tweaking. It was cheap so I got it as an alteration project.
To help combat the wideness and shallowness, I took in the gore as much as possible. I bent the wires and they held shape pretty decently. Still too wide for me but better than it was. The band needed reducing, but since it is thin mesh, it works nicely for that. And finally I moved the straps in because they were extremely wide on me.
Not a perfect fit, but it's close and I wanted one molded cup bra in my bradrobe so here it is. It's soft, comfortable, and I love how it looks so I would call this project a success. It's perfect for when I want something comfortable but still good enough to go out with.
First impressions: This is really comfortable! This just might fit! Wow, they weren't kidding when they said the band is very stretchy.
Of course, it got more complicated from there. I love the detail of the split strap near the cup. I think it's adorable and downplays my annoyingly prominent tail of spence. I feel like this bra is really cute, in a sweet sort of way.
When I first put it on, I get quadboob, but as I wear it, this settles down. Since the shallow cups are very lightly padded, they give some shape and I don't have the kind of issues with my soft boobs that I get ...with unlined. I find that a little poking and tucking (very minimal) helps the fit look right for me. Cups are pretty soft and a bit stretchy, so they're rather forgiving but also not as supportive as some other bras. The wires are flexible and fit well under my arm and around my boobs, but I could probably use a higher gore. The gore is actually quite comfortable and sits flush against me. If I lie on my side, I do spill out of the cups, but not as bad as I did with the padded pushups in a too-big band that I used to wear!
Being so shallow, as expected it doesn't give much forward projection, but it does give me a nice rounded shape, for the most part. After wearing this for several hours, I have noticed a few things. Probably because the band is so stretchy, eventually my boobs settle way down. I start getting a little quadding towards the gore and a bit more gaping in the cup-meets-strap area. Also....this band is so scratchy in the back...it is driving me crazy. I am really sensitive to fabrics, so this isn't all that shocking, except that it is so opposite of my first reaction about how comfortable this bra is. (It still is....in everyplace but the back strap.) I am going to wash it and see if it softens up a little bit.
It's also worth noting that the vertical seams will show some under thin, soft fabric shirts. The top of the diagonal seam is a little weird. It almost appears that the one I got is irregular. The lace kind of bunches up there, as if it wasn't trimmed enough after the bra was assembled. (I trimmed it slightly and it is a little better, but still not resolved.) On one cup, this makes the lace flip out in that area. The light padding is sewn to the lace mostly just along the underwire and in a couple of places along the top of the cup.....the end of the diagonal seam being one of the points of stitching.
Overall impression: This is a cute bra and is good for shallow, wide, relatively wide set roots. For now, I am keeping it, because this is one of the best fits I've found and it's actually wearable. I am surprised at the quality though...I would expect more from Betsey Johnson (although I have never tried their bras before, they do make a lot of high quality products. Or, at least, I thought so from their price tags!) There is actually a very cheap feel to the construction. The very stretchy band and straps make it obvious that this is not going to hold up for very long. The way the lining and lace is and is not stitched together, and the awkward tops of the diagonal seam, also make me feel the quality is questionable. This bra seems to run large in the cup, and stretches hugely. Since my tight underbust is 29'', having a 30-band bra stretch this far is kind of problematic, especially when the cups are too large as it is. They gape awkwardly.
That said, it is very comfortable and apart from the lace on the top of the cups has a very subtle footprint.
This one runs crazy tight in the band, definitely fits like a tight 28, similar to Cleo. In other words, just right for me.
The cups don't suit my shape: there's a liiittle bit of a gap in the bottom and it's cutting in a liiittle bit at the top, but I can sort of hike it up and squish myself in there and it works. So I bought it and I'll use it, but I'm definitely cutting that tacky little gold rose charm off. Would recommend this one for full on bottom 28D/DDs.
Edit: Wore it strapless and it rode down in the front all day long. No idea why, ...since the band is tight and I definitely do not fill the bottom of the cup. The sliding down only makes the quadding worse, since it's very closed on top.
I have a suspicion that the underwires are too far apart near the lower middle of the centre gore. It tacks at the top but not in the middle and feels like it's sitting on breast tissue in the middle when the wires are in my IMF at the bottom. :/
Edit 2: tried to wear with straps. only lasted about 30 seconds before tearing it off because holy mother of quadboob, this does not fit. Oh and the strap loops are ridiculously wide set, digging into armpits. Listing now. Read more 118 more words
This bra is very pretty. The material feels soft and comfortable (the lace isn't scratchy at all) but snags very easily. The lace trim on the cups is somewhat tighter than the cup itself, so it causes a little quad-boob along the top even though the cup itself fits. The bra has a hook to turn the straps into a racer back, which is a nice detail.
