I bought this bra along with a 40L Bravissimo Annie during the lockdown. Bravissimo recently extended the size range of the Satine which went up to a J cup previously. Comparing the two by placing the 40L Annie inside the 40K Satine was hilarious, the Satine wires were 2-3 inches wider than the 40L Annie. If I did not know the bra sizes and simply eyeballed them before trying them on, I would have said the 40L was going to be way too small and the 40K way too big. Of course, I would have been wrong as the Satine was much shallower than the Annie. I will not say it's a design flaw though because I am generally between a 38L & 40L, at least when it comes to the Alana.
During my first wear, I was unable to fill the bottom of the cups and was quadding over the top. On my second wear the next day, i came closer to filling the bottom but was still quadding, which is pretty much what happens with my other 40K's and is the reason why I don't own many of this size. If I had not ordered the Annie at the same time, I would not have described this Satine as too wide and too shallow but the comparison I did leads me to this opinion.
I do love the color of this bra, which is described as nude on the bra label but as champagne on the website.

  • I wore this Satine yesterday for the first time in close to a year. The biggest reason for wearing it was for protection from the bitter cold so I likely still would not have worn it if things were warmer out there. Another reason for wearing my Satine was seeing Bravissimo now offering this in a Teal colorway, it looks absolutely gorgeous!

As before, I still could not fill the bottom or sides of the cups and was quadding on top and the sides but, at least I was warm! Before taking this bra off at the end of the day though, I checked to see if my boobs had settled into the cups and thankfully they had. There was a lot less of all of the negatives described above.

When I put the bra on, I realized that I do like the straps as they were strong and seemed thicker than average. When I took the bra off, I realized there was significantly more soreness in my shoulders than normal and now that I think about it, I may have ignored the shoulder pain throughout the day. The straps, while seeming stronger than average, was maybe carrying more of the weight than many of my other bras. My boobs seemed to gravitate towards the center than usual, perhaps because of this plunge design and this may have led to the straps carrying more of the weight.

  • I am so happy with my narrow wired Bravissimo bras that I now rarely wear anything else. I think it is time to list bras like this one that I seldom wear.

  • My previous comment was made in the middle of summer so that may have influenced me a bit. It was a chilly day this morning so I chose the Satine but it turned out a bit warmer than forecasted which contributed to being a little too warm for the me,

I was pleasantly surprised though to see a reduction in quadding with the bottom and sides now adequately filled. I guess I am guilty of not taking my own advice, which is to let a bra break in before passing judgement. I had done that before with the Jenna and Gemma and so this Satine joins that list that I initially disliked but now love. I do now wonder if I was too hasty in passing judgement on the 5 or 6 Panache bras I once owned? The memory of those wires poking my underarm say "no".

  • Wore this to work yesterday and it turned out to be a difficult day for my shoulders as I was constantly hoisting the girls up by re-positioning the straps. So today, I value this Satine less than I did yesterday and I think my Jenna's with their straps have spoiled/trained me to appreciate the halter style.

Again, the cups seem to have stretched even more as I am quadding less with each wear, at least it seems that way. If I kept quadding the way I did when I first purchased it, I likely would stop wearing it.

  • After wearing this bra today, I decided to re-measure as I am certain this Satine fits so much better than when first acquired. As to be expected, many of the measurements are bigger, especially cup depth which is now larger by almost 2 inches!

More than ever, I regret returning many of my purchases over the past 8 years because o bad fit and I'm glad I kept bras like this Satine which are fitting better with each wear.
