I ordered this 38L Annie in Navy a week after I received this bra in Blush Pink. The Annie uses the new narrow wires and Bravissimo advises to size down in cup when ordering. Previous to these two 38 band bras, I had ordered the Annie in a 40L, which was a tad on the loose side in the band and had noticeably deeper cups than any of my other Bravissimo bras. The 38 band Annie's are perfect in the band and the navy colorway seems just that little bit tighter than the Blush Pink.
Bravissimo's Alana has been a staple in my rotation but I have always felt I was between sizes, my perfect Alana would have been a 38 band with the 40L cups. This 38L Annie with the narrower wires seems to be the 38LL Alana I have been wishing for and is thus my perfect bra. To be clear though, the shape is definitely not the cakes on a plate the way Alana can sometimes be and on me, the Annie is a tad torpedoey.
I got the same initial odd shape that I got with my Blush Pink Annie but after a few wears I can already see the cups adapting better to my shape, just as the Blush Pink did. The upper cup is a thin mesh like fabric with a star embroidery which is visible under a single layer of clothing, I wish the stars were a print instead.

This bra is so comfortable and supportive. Unfortunately, Bravissimo has sold out on my preferred sizes so here's hoping they bring this back in other colors.

I think the bottom cup/seam are perhaps a little too supportive, leading to the initial torpedo shape. After say 5 wears, the material weakens a bit, leading to some give to the cup bottom and a more rounded shape as a result. People need to give this bra, and any of the other Bravissimo new wire bras, a chance to break-in before coming to a conclusion on fir and appearance.

  • My 38L Annie's, both this navy and my blush pink, have been my go to bras for at least the past 6 months. Every day I wear one of my other bras, I find myself wishing I could change back to either one of these Annie's right there and then.

My review described the Annie as a 38LL Alana but in retrospect, the Annie is like an Alana with 1-1/2 to 2 inches of the wire width moved towards the front. The usable cup depth has been moved to the front as opposed to being unused at the sides. I did not realize how often I had an inch or more of unused cup space at the sides with the Alana. My 38 band Alana's have pretty much the same depth as these Annie's so I should not have been wishing for LL cup Alana's but instead for an Alana with narrow wires.

  • Over the past month, I have worn my red Jenna more than any other bra due to the way the straps distribute some of the weight to my back. When I went back to this navy Annie yesterday, the pressure on my shoulders from the straps was initially agonizing but after 20 minutes or so, the pain became annoying instead of painful which I certainly prefer.

  • 3 months later...

Not wearing this navy Annie as much as I used to. My Jenna's are pretty much dominating my rotation with the Annie's with pretty much every other model getting in at most once a month.

I am really appreciating how snug this navy Annie still is, even on the first set of hooks so it still has tons of life in it. It has also become more naturally rounded than my other Annie's. I am noticing the right side wire is starting to rub against my side so I hope this isn't the beginning of a fit issue. I have bent the wires ever so slightly but it does revert back to its initial shape.

For the first time, I am realizing that if the cups were smaller, I would possibly spill out of them as I am not only quadding a smidge over the top, the gore and cups are almost a bit plungey on me. If I lean over, I definitely feel like I will fall out.

Still waiting on more colors for the Annie. It really is nice to be able to switch back and forth between my Annie's and my Jenna's. They are so different from each other and my body seems to appreciate the different support I get from each of them s the Jenna gives my shoulders a break while the Annie's reduce the neck strain I sometimes feel with the Jenna.

  • I went away from my usual rotation of Bravissimo Jenna and Annie bras to continue breaking in my Fantasie Belle's that I purchased earlier this year. The Belle's are becoming so much better but I still went back to this Annie and am so glad I did. Yes, the Belle's are 4 cups sizes smaller but they do measure close to my L cup Bravissimo's cup depth.

The straps on this navy Annie do not seem to fold over as much as my blush pink is starting to do. I get a bit of folding though and I wish I had shoulder pads that I could use with my bras. About 10 years ago, I had bras that came with color coordinated shoulder pads, I think it was from Elila. Now that was one matronly looking bra!

Stock on both this navy Annie and the blush pink seem to be running low so I really should re-order before they run out of my preferred size.

Gore does not tack but this is not an issue for me.
