Balcony styles with close set boobs?

Today I went bra shopping in a town that had a store that had a website on which they claimed to have 60 band size bras. Turns out they had two XD They had a bigger selection of 65 bands, so I tried a lot of those too.

One of the two 60 band bras was a black Freya Deco (4234) , the other an unpadded bra by Freya, but it didn't fit at all so I forgot the name. The Deco didn't fit really well either, though I am happy I finally tried it on after seeing it on Bratabase and internet so much. Anyway, the cups gaped even in the right size. It would show under shirts and it felt uncomfortable.
I came home with a Freya Secret Garden Padded Half Cup Bra (1373) (which is not really my style in the way it looks) and a Freya Patsy Padded Half Cup Bra (1223) , which looks really nice.

The bands are 65, but the lady in the store helped hold them tighter and I think they should fit nicely :) Time to test wear tomorrow!

I am a bit confused that these balcony styles seem to work for me, because I have close set boobs and am FOB. I think it might be because the underwires are not as super solid as in Ewa's (which hurt a lot when they came up higher) and it doesn't gape like the Deco because the cup draws back a bit on the top? I will update the foto's of these bras later. Finally, I was also suprised at the narrow underwires of these bras. The Freya's I tried before at a friend (all unpadded) were way too wide. I guess that depends on each model too maybe?

  • If you get a chance, you may want to try Freya Taylor (4971). Deco gaped a lot on top on me, too, but Taylor doesn't. It is pretty much the same as Deco except more closed on the top.

  • Thanks, that is very helpful! I'll check with the store, because I believe I saw the Taylor on their website.
