My shape: Narrow root, close set, center full, even fullness, functionally full on bottom, immediate projection, and apparently very narrow shoulders (straps are basically always too wide set).

This is a beautiful bra. Not broken in, the band runs very firm (at least in the dark blue, which is gorgeous BTW), but I’m not sure if that may quickly change. I’m going to wear it for a while, and then maybe try a 30, too (my usual size). I have a terrible problem with most straps being so wide set that they really, really hurt my armpits where the strap meets the cup. While I still wish these were ... even a little closer set, they’re really not bad at all.

I have a tilt to my sternum, so the gore was really stabby at first due to its height. But! I realized there was extra space in the wire channel. So, I pushed the wires down as far as they would go and added some hand stitching to keep them there. Now, it’s not a problem.

My right side is a bit less full on top than my left, but you can’t tell at all in this bra. No wrinkling anywhere.

Cups are too big and too wide on the sides. If I go a cup size down the problem of my soft tissue still exists and I get this weird shape on the side where the strap pulls. I get cone shape too. I may try a 32DD just to compare. Although I think side support bras aren't best for center full gals.

Did you know there is a plunge version of this bra? https://www.bratabase.com/browse/freya/offbeat-plunge-bra-5452/ I tried both and like the plunge more. It's not a super low plunge and still works to contain center fullness.

Thanks for the comment. I have seen that one and may try it. The offbeat padded half cup is one that fits me well but I chose not to go with it because the lace is lumpy under t-shirts and that is not gonna work for me haha. Will have to give the plunge version a try though!

    • Elladeer I just posted a review of the plunge bra compared to the side support. I tought it might be helpful for you. There are pros and cons for both bras.

    • Thanks for the info. I want to try it but do you know if the lace is smooth enough to wear under light stretchy shirts?

The band is firm, supportive, and fits "true to size" unlike some other Freya bras. The lace detailing is perfectly symmetrical across the two cups, which is a good sign. The cup are cut a little low for the amount of fullness I have, but I'm not sure if sizing up in the cup would help. I don't quad out of the top unless I pull my shoulders all the way back. The shape isn't the best for me and it consistently gaps a bit under the arms. My straps tend to slip, and this bra is no exception. Fortunately, a cheap strap clip to bring them together solves the gapping and slipping issues. Poseidon is a lovely deep blue, and the black straps are understated when they peek out from a neckline. For full price, it might not compare favorably to more expensive brands that cost just a little more, but if you can get it for <$30 it's totally worth it.

This isn’t my unicorn bra but it is the first bra I’ve worn in years that fits and works well. It’s a hint too wide in the cups but isn’t uncomfortable. I really like it and I think my chest almost looks bigger in this without the padding than in my last push-up!
