My local specialty shop* had a 50% off moving sale. They decided that they would not be moving within the mall during renovations twice in a year, after they've had to move about once a year for the last few years. So they closed up, and shipped the remaining merchandise to their other locations, though neither of them are convenient to pop into on a whim one night as this one was for me.

This is one of the styles that I tried and came very close to buying. I didn't buy it in the end though. I'll explain later...

So, I'm no stranger to the Deco, as I ... have had a Spotlight for many years in a 32DD. I have a review for this one in my profile. That one fits me pretty well, but is a little small in the cup because I have only been swooping and scooping since late 2016, and my Spotlight Deco predates that. Also, I'm in smaller backs now and the Spotlight is maxed out and on the tightest hooks and feeling loose.

The one that I have in this review is a 28FF, so it's 2 sister sizes down but with a cup volume up. My main goal in trying this size was 1) could I actually pull off the 28 band and 2) could I pull off the extra cup volume up and 3) using this information, determine if I needed a 30 band and which cup volume was better.

This bra fit me surprisingly well, although I did find the band to be a little bit snugger than I am comfortable with. It was closer to the band fit of my Comexim Victoria in 60HH. It felt like it was just under a 29" stretched measurement (but I didn't have the foresight to bring the measuring tape to grab measurements in addition to the fit). I might have been able to wear it all day but I might be more consciously aware of it during the day unless I had an extender with it. From a technical fit standpoint, this size is the right size. From a comfort standpoint, a 30F is probably the better fit for me. I also love that it has a j hook which is adjustable in height so that I didn't have straps on my shoulder blades. Straps felt a bit snug too, but I could have loosened them.

I obviously love the shape and support of the Deco if I was considering a second one. Naturally, I had the same awesome cleavage that Decos are known for with this one as I did with my original Spotlight. I absolutely love this green! So so much! SO MUCH YOU GUYS! I love the texture of it on the side as well. What I did not like so much is the leopard print trim and bow, although I think it's a good combination of colours. And perhaps I could have gotten used to it. I think that it looks really good against my pale skin.

Why I decided against it...

1) I struggled with the leopard a lot
2) it was still tight and I would have to find an extender and I am tired of extenders on multiple bras.
3) half price was still over $40 and Amazon had other prints and colours in 30F that were less
4) I wasn't even sure that I should have another Deco, because I have been getting pretty decent cleavage and shape with my Ewa Michalak plunge which is softer and lighter than the Deco...not as much boob armour.

I still think about this bra and other Decos and think that if I can Deco, I should Deco, and that I should retire and replace my old Spotlight. I have had an eye on the burgandy Amore but I'm focused on other bras for now.

Bra description: Soft, feminine blush color with delicate white details (lace, bows, piping). Molded plunge, seamed cupe, with optional J-hook in back. Runs truer to size than most Freya bands (I had to use an extender). It looks like I managed to get a small pen mark on one cup at some point (not really sure how that happened).

I bought this bra under the delusion that I could make it work, even though the Deco and I are frenemies at best... needless to say, our relationship didn't last. Why you ask? Here's the summary:

Me: short rooted, center heavy, even/fob, projected
Deco: tall cups, plunge, shallow
Notice the opposite characteristics ... between us? Every time I put this bra on, I would fall out of the center while the top of the cups would gape. Attaching the J-hook in the back lessened the gaping, but didn't really fix my problems.

I got the Deco Vibe in a 28FF based on my previous experiences with Decos . 1) regular/old-style decos did the weird cup-edge-sticks-out-thing, 2) Decos in my size (30F/FF) would gape at the top while I fell out of the center (projected boobs tilt the moulded cup out to make room for themselves, causing the top to gape) 3) sizing down to a 30E in the Deco delight got rid of the gaping and caused lots of cleavage (the quadding was not noticeable under a shirt because it was all between the cups).

So as the band on my 30E Deco stretched out and my boobs grew a little, I decided a new deco was in order. A 28 band should solve the stretchy problem, right? and going up a cup size shouldn't be a problem because my boobs are bigger, right? Plus the blush will function as a nude! Win win win! NOPE. The band always felt a little too tight on me, so I needed an extender, and despite my larger boobs, I still got top of cup gaping. Maybe my boobs just got bigger in the center, which does nothing when sizing up in plunge like the deco (short roots, remember).

So in conclusion, this bra has been sitting in my drawer for ages. I've worn it a couple of times, but more often then not, when I want the racerback, I reach for the 30E more than the 28FF because I would have excessive cleavage and a slightly loose band than a too tight band, slightly too tall cups and the quad/gap effect. If you are projected and short rooted and get the same issues in the deco (quad/gap effect), I'd suggest doing the same thing I did and sizing down a cup or two to minimize the fit issues.

This is the second Deco Vibe I've owned; the previous was in 28F. I purchased this from Broad Lingerie in Toronto, ON and it was heavily discounted (to my advantage) because it had been sitting around for so long. I got the band altered shorter through the store and it was only a $10 alteration, so well worth it in my books. It stretches to an absolute perfect length for me to wear it comfortably on the loosest hooks, and the materials are super soft so it never feels like it's digging in.

I love this bra for the cleavage it gives and as a going-out bra, but ... I've realized as an everyday bra it just doesn't have enough immediate projection for me (which is surprising because I've never had that problem before). Because of the lack of immediate projection and overall shallow shape in general, it does feel like my boobs are locked down a little bit too much, and it feels like the wires shift down on my ribcage as the day or night goes on. But like I said, this bra is for cleavage first and foremost, so I am willing to forgive these other shortcomings.

Overall, I love the way Freya bras fit. They make great t shirt bras and give amazing support. However, this one isn't my favorite because the straps are very far apart so I have to wear it in the racerback form all the time.

I tried this bra in a 28FF which is my usual size, but it fit me oddly, the proportions were right but the placement didn’t work for me. Something about this wire was also terribly painful, putting a weird pressure on my sternum that made it unwearable. Overall it seemed like a shape mismatch.

This bra's straps are too wide set even for size 28 .. so when I move my arms its not that comfortable. The cup itself is comfy though (moulded padding) but the edges (rim) of the cup kind of show under a shirt/tank top. The area of fabric below the armpit (between cup's wire end to the back) doesn't lie flat and I will have to alter it a bit to make it more taute. Otherwise the band fits great and with reasonable amount of stretch/tension.
