    Didn't fit

Wires are too long--they reach across my armpit. Bra has little to no elastic in shoulder straps, making it extremely difficult to put on and take off. With wires outside the cups, it seems like the bra is on inside out. It's almost reversible, but not. see pictures.

    Didn't fit

the straps are way too short for me at their longest setting. Wacoals are generally too shallow for me, and this is no exception. Because it's a sports bra, I'm able to wear it occasionally but not for long stretches of time. It has moderate support but I wouldn't run in it.

This bra supports me well and keeps me from having any spillage over the top (the 4 boob look) when I bend over and stand back up, which is usually one of the main issues I have with a bra. The gore placement does stick out and can be seen poking up in some shirts. Even though the band fits well, I will say that this bra stretches quite a bit with wear; it's snug when I put it on in the morning but I end up having to pull it down in the back some throughout the day. I do like that I feel that all of my breast tissue is contained inside of this bra. Oh and it's comfortable. šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘

    Hasn't set fit

This is the same review I left on Bare Necessities website: Iā€™ve owned many bras in this style over 10 yrs, however, Iā€™ve gained a good 25-30 lbs in that time, too. This change moved me into a category that makes for a completely different and frustrating bra shopping experience. I visited many sites for reviews before my current purchase, including one from the UK which compares bra sizing and lists all the specs for this particular wacoal sports bra. It was helpful, however, Wacoal is far from ā€œnormalā€ sizing of other bras. First off, on their sizing chart, they tell you to add 4ā€ to your actual ... band size. Then, the reviews mention over and over to either size up or down (usually most say up), due to discrepancies in fit.

I weigh 150 and just under 5ā€™3ā€ tall. I have a smaller rib cage, but a very round and heavy bust. I personally like a tighter fit and prefer to maximize my breasts to make my shorter waist seem slimmer. But, also, I will not forego comfort either!! I think am in between sizes currently. I measure 34ā€ around comfortably, however the 34 band I always wore in the past has become too tight, 36ā€ may be good for me, but in this particular bra, the sizing ā€œtestsā€ recommended for me by Wacoal, put me at 38ā€ around and DD cup. I used to only wear a DD cup in this bra. BUT, like I said, I gained a lot and mostly in my boobs! Now, though, according to UK general sizing which accounts for band to cup size ratio, (not the added extra 4ā€ like Wacoal), I would be a 34 H/HH. This translates to a U.S. size of 34K/L. This bra, and many American choices, donā€™t have that size available. So, essentially, this is wound up going up one band size and down 2 cup sizes for this Wacoal bra. Read more below regarding how I got to the pretty-close-to-perfect size for my ladies. It was process!!!

Iā€™ve always loved this bra for everything it describes, but I was hesitant on ordering this time after reading the many comments on Wacoal sizing. Seems once anything larger than a DDD is introduced, you have to decide whether you are going to deal with the very tall gore height (middle bar between boobs) showing through your tops or the shorter version and it being somewhat concealed amongst your cleavage. I found this to be true as I ordered the 36G in this bra, as well, and it was oh so comfy, except for that one caveat! That bar is HUGE!! Unclassy, to say the least, and since I wear these as my everyday bras as well as workout bras, I would no longer be able to get away with the former in this size! I felt like the Terminator. This is why I canā€™t imagine wearing the UK-suggested size of 34H (besides Wacoal doesnā€™t make this in size K), but instead took my chances on going up in band and down in cups to the lower gore height in the DDD.

To be fair, the gore has never laid flat against my chest and has never affected my comfort or look either. If there was a band size in between, like 35ā€ or 37ā€, I think itā€™d come closer to laying flat on me. But, as it stands, I found the 36 DDD, to be the closest fit, relatively, to my old 34DD I always knew and loved for years! Of course, over the years, due to the longevity of this bra, my smaller bras stretched out perfectly...until they no longer did. Lol. Thatā€™s how I got away with the incorrect sizing for so long, when I ā€œshouldā€™ve beenā€ wearing an H or K or whatever by now!! I lost track after awhile of everything alphabetically-speaking while on this journey! All of this involved actual measurements of my breasts in standing, bending, lying positions on the UK site, not just Wacoalā€™s confusing, sizing considerations. I did take it all in, but Iā€™m still perplexed and frustrated by the bra size differences between brands and amongst countries. This is just my experience and I wanted to share it in case it will help anyone in the same position!!

I know this is a long post, but not near as long as all the time Iā€™ve put into trying to find the best bra fit for me. As I said, I decided to keep the 36DDD (UK 36E), which reduces the gore height just enough to not stick out like a sore thumb for me. The only complaint I have is that the wing height on the side is a tad taller in the DDD vs the G, but also the wire isnā€™t as long as the G, making for a slightly uncomfortable rub...not under my armpits, but on the inside of my bicep, from the material that is at the end of the wire. Not the actual wire, though, thank God and thatā€™s why this bra works for me. Itā€™s made of sturdy construction, nonetheless!! Usually, it stretches out enough while wearing inbetween washes anyways, that I donā€™t notice. Only sometimes has it irritated me after 12 hrs of constant wearing and I canā€™t wait to take it off. Other than that, it is tight enough in the band when worn on the loosest hook, which will give plenty of room for stretch out in the long run. The straps are perfect and I feel so confident in this bra. I will take this tiny inconvenience in the HUGE picture (pun intended).

I am afraid of trying Wacoal actual suggested size for me (38DD), as I feel the band will be too loose and/or the cup size too small to encapsulate my breast the way I need to be comfortable. I will give that a shot next, though, just to compare. I figured since Wacoal says if the band is too loose, then go down a size (36) and up in cup (DDD), it might work and it did for me. I am very happy with my purchase and so relieved to have found quality with this bra that others donā€™t have.

Also to note, I ordered this in black, so the nude may be an even better fit since there are no dyes used there. Iā€™ll order it next. Also, for comparison, I did try the Wacoal basic benefits t-shirt bra in 34G and 36DDD and there is NO comparison...on comfort, sizing or quality!!! Sent those puppies back immediately! Quality or sizing cant be compared to this sports bra. Bare Necessites is always awesome with return policy. It was 10 days and I had my money back for the bras I didnā€™t keep! Thank you to BN!I hope this post is helpful to people and if you made it this far, I hope you find your perfect bra for all the time youā€™ve invested in your research!!

    Fits

I'm going to review this bra based on how it fit me, I have not purchased it or exercised in it. Unfortunately I do not have measurements for it. My shape is: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.

I was initially hesitant to try this on because it looks kinda funky, the underwires are on the outside of the bra and very visible and I actually tried to put it on backwards at first! The band fitted me very snug for a 32 (it wasn't uncomfortable during my try-on though), and I suspect it runs closer to a 30 band ... size. Since I can wear 30-32 bands, it was okay for me even though it looks kinda tight in the picture I posted. The band has 4 hooks which makes it super comfortable and doesn't budge!

The underwires on the outside actually made it pretty comfortable to wear since the inside of the bra is smooth. The wires seem to be slightly wide, but I feel this doesn't really bother me. The fabric over the cup has some stretch/give and it on the thinner side, I suspect nipples will show through. The material is somewhat compressible so it flattens my breasts and gives me a flattened profile.

The gore comes up very high in the front, but it tacked well on me and wasn't uncomfortable. The cups come up very high as well which I like more since it holds me in. The straps are adjustable with a sort of hook/loop system and I like that it will stay in place and not slide down like some traditional straps can.

I did some running in place and jumping around in the fitting room and it surprisingly held me down well. There is still some bounce, but I "felt" like I was contained relatively well. The store did not have my size in black (which I prefer) so I am definitely considering ordering this.

While this bra fit me, it didn't work for me. The main problem I had was that the cup encapsulated my breast tissue, but didn't do anything to keep the tissue from bouncing when I moved. Additionally, the construction looks a bit odd. It is basically an underwire that sits over a smooth piece of fabric. This is a good idea in terms of keeping the wires from irritating the skin, but it looks a strange. I definitely wouldn't want to wear this bra without a top over it like I often do with my sports bras.

The straps were interesting - they hook at specific places as opposed to continuously adjusting on a slide. I thought that was odd, but it isn't a terrible idea. It may work well for someone that has trouble with straps loosening.

  7. Mostly fine, but it has a super high gore/underwires and is uncomfortable on my sternum.

May try bending the wire to help.

Finally, I have enough space in the bottom of the cup and the band is comfortable and supportive. But, whoa!! This is one long wire. My very short-waisted physique is incompatible with wires of this length. Yikes.

Other than that, this bra is blissfully supportive without the heat-inducing padding of Panache Sports bra. The wires are positioned outside the cup; creating a soft barrier between wires and sensitive breast tissue. The gore is too wide for me, but less center full and close-set breasts may really appreciate this construction.

Because of the gore width and height, I didn't bother to tighten the straps. It is likely a small strap ... adjustment would have eliminated the wrinkles in the top of one cup. It is important to note: the straps are fully extended in every photo which is very unusual for me! Typically, I require straps nearly fully tightened. Conclusion: the strap length may prevent tall and/or low set users from wearing this bra.

If you can tolerate a 1" wide gore whose incredible length may collide with a clavicle, this bra is worth a look. Otherwise, run along ; -)

This was the bra suggested during my first accurate bra fitting for running specifically, working out in general. The sales lady told me that marathoners use it. (Anyone have verification of that or do so yourself, post in comments!) I've had this bra 2.5 years. I am not an everyday exerciser, let me be clear. But def used more than 100 times. I'm finally using the third row of hooks. Great quality. The way the straps adjust give the bra a custom fit unattainable in most sport bras, even those with a hook n eye band. Fixes a severe issue for busty ladies. I will be purchasing another soon!

This bra embodies all the reasons I don't bother with Wacoal any more. The band feels a little loose, but most likely the 34 would be too tight. The cups feel a little small, but the H cup would probably be too big and most definitely too tall. I seem to be in-between sizes in just about every Wacoal I try.

This functions ok as a sports bra. I get a little bounce. It will work for low/medium impact activities. I wouldn't say the cups are sheer but my nipples show through. It's fairly comfortable. The gore is very tall and gapes away from my chest when I bend over.

I only paid $25 for this bra. I'm keeping it because I need something and I can wear it around the house if it doesn't work for exercise. I have tried and returned a lot of sports bras already and this one is the best so far. I'm sure I'll get my $25 worth out of it but I wouldn't pay full price.
