I received this bra along with a different Shock Absorber in 34E. Funny story, I got them mixed up at first and thought this one was the 34E. Wore it all day and it was _painful_ by the end. I was thinking it had to be the smallest 34 band in existence until I looked at the label and saw it was actually the DD cup. I’m probably between a 30F and FF right now, so I guess the 34DD, a sister size of 30F, is just too small. The 34E Shock Absorber, which is a zipper front, fits much more comfortably. I’m going to measure them soon and will update this when I do.
Update- I was wrong again - the cups are fine; the band really is just that tight. I got 32 inches with a very hard pull, BUT I recorded 31 because there’s nearly an inch of unusable band length on the left end before you can actually hook onto something.
My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.
Cups way too small! Straps way too short, they were loosened all the way and felt tight. I was wary of the reviews and ended up ordering both 32 and 34 bands since I read the black color can run tighter. This 34 band is slightly too big for me and I already had to hook it in the tightest hooks. However it does run small for a 34 band and it only stretched to 32.5".
This was listed on Amazon as a 34E, but it turned out to be a US 34E/UK 34DD. The band runs really tight and I doubt it's because it's a cup smaller than my real size. I can wear it for two hours, max, before it really starts to hurt. Unfortunately, when I received it I was too eager and removed the tags so I didn't even try to exchange it. I needed a sports bra! I would recommend going up a band size and down a cup size.
As far as support is concerned, it's supportive but my breasts still bounce. I also get a uniboob. If you don't want a uniboob, go for a sports bra with underwire.
I was unaware that this bra was sold by US sizing as opposed to UK sizing, so watch out for that. The bra is listed as a 34E US and a 34DD UK. I did not have the same issues with the band being too tight as other women had, so I am ordering a 32F (US) to try. It compressed my boobs fairly well (I'm generally around a 42" bust, down to 36") and kept them mostly in place, but I am worried that the band will stretch out when I run, as has been a concern with other purchasers.
I used to have to wear TWO lighter impact sports bras for running, but I only need this one! Good support and keeps everything in place. Almost a little too tight in the band.
